Hi everybody,
My name is Franck, im french and a pretty bad english speaker so I apologize right now for all the faults.

Why did I chose twoplustwo? Because I know this is the best place to achieve my poker goals and I decided to do all I can do to achieve this.

I started poker 10 years ago and since my first game i felt in love with this game. Then I started to play on internet and discoverd that Im a big spewer, so during few years it was like that, looking some videos reading books and forums. Then with all my new knowledge I was ready to fight hard, I was the kind of people playing NL200HU with 3BI. I took a very long time to understand the meaning of a bk management.

Ive never been active on a forum thats why I start to do this blog to exchange opinions with people and learn from them. To be better I think its important to spot our mistakes and others often spot them easier.

Now that I worked and travelled I feel wiser than few years ago.
In 2016 I played poker for living one year I was playing 5e-20eMTT (on .fr) and I was winning enough to live but I wasnt good enough to up limits. Also at this time I was never working outside of tables. I privileged my social life.

Then I stopped and since Im travelling. I was some time in south america where I was playing some cheap live casino and privates cash game. It was enough for me to stay there and pay the bills.
Now Im in Australia, I was working here but you know these times... All my travels plans are postponed. I will go back to france soon and decided to start poker again from almost zero. I will have the time and I have the money to take my time and I want to take the time to improve my game and of course to play.

Its been one month I started again on winamax .fr with a 200e bk and Im up to 600. I was playing on an old 10 years old computer with no tracker because 8tables for him was already too much so I suscribed yesterday to a VPS its kind of a dematerialized computer so I can now play the amounts tables i want to with a tracker. I just register every 2e and 5e tournaments on winamax between 20h and 00h its around 50MTT. Since today im using sharkscope HUD as a tracker too.

I feel that I need something like a blog to have feedbacks and advices so Im here and now you know a little bit more about myself and my relationship with poker and what I was doing since last month.

Now its time to tell you what are my goals and its no surprise that i will tell you that i want to became a better player, I want to become a good player.
You saw the tittle, I will take an entire year to try to win enough money with poker to do this as a job the next years. So its not just about winning money this year, its about working to be good enough and be ready in one year.
I wont use this place to tell you if I won or lose 1 or 2 euros every day (unless you ask me to do it) I will tell you what im working on, post some hands talk about mindset, set up to play or the font that I use on my tracker, all that can help me to reach my goal.
I neglected so many things the first time I tried to do this, now I am ready.
Please feel free to say everything you want to say.
Its the begining of a year full of learning and emotions!
Ill be back tomorrow

Hi there,
It was an interesting day today I played of course, here its really early so my day is divided in two : I play the morning and work my game the afternoon.

I took the free trial of ICMIZER today and I realized that I was doing too many mistakes in cev push and calls and even more when ICM counts so for the next 6 days I will do some training with the sng coach :120 questions/days.
Do you guys have some tips about these kind of situations with or without ICM?
If you have some article about it I will be glad to read it.
Each time Ill find something interesting about my progression I will post it here, I imagine that if I need it I am not the only one.

I want also add 30minutes/day minimum viewing one of the SCOOP's FT where I put on pause guess what the guys are going to do and then try to understand why they played it differently.

Yesterday was my first day using sharkscope hud and at the end of my session I had few research remaining so I decided to go into the sharkscope desktop in the players section and for each ones use the sharkscope info to add in my notes if they are or not winning players. I dont have the time in the middle of my session to do this, I just do it when I have few tables left. Do you think that is usefull ? Also on the Hud I put a criteria about research only for MTT since June 2018 but when I look for the sharkscope info in the sharkscope desktop it shows me all the players results since the beginning.

My screen is really small and Im in the middle of nowhere so sometime my connexion freeze and I dont realise that Im sit out on some tables but im pretty happy about my Vps subscription because to me its really important to do the maximum volume in micros and im really having fun when im playing that is a good point I guess !

I started to work with ICMIZER today and I decided to add at my routine one review of the late game of one of my MTT turbo that I played in the morning each day after using sng coach. Its pretty interesting to compare the spots for sure Im to tight when its time to push. With some efforts it will be better.

Positive point the last three days were three winning sessions but not enough yet to up in 10e. Coming soon !

Today I had a internet crash during the end of my session, i knew that it could happen but still annoying. When I came back it was too late hehe
I also start to work PKO tournaments with Icmizer and wow this is really impresive... Im terrible ! I cannot avoid them because this is now a big part of the offer on the .fr so Ill daily analyse some hands of PKO. There is a lot to work to do but I think it worth it.
If you know some good content about PKO tournament I take it !

Today some updates about PKO strategy questions that I had i found this in the forum, its a good starting point even if it doesnt help for the late game
https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...ments+question

Also in one of the discord i have people are using this formula to have the worth of the bounty in chips

0.25 x starting stacks x nb of starting bountys
where .25 is for early game moving up to .50 when final table

About this it doesnt change the vision i had about this type of tournament , now i can do more precise calcul I think the more difficult part is when were getting in late games.
Ill continue to look for some informations

Im very happy the way I played today except for my final tables (only little fields) Ive reviewed all of them and found the mistakes. I was about to not work my game today actually I fell asleep on my desk when doing sng coach but then I took a nap and get back to work. Maybe if I hadnt decided this and just listened my laziness I would probably never reviewed these tournaments.

For me this is proof of my motivation. It is important to prolong this state of mind and not to relax. Keep it up !

Im getting better with push/call Icm ranges but im still making mistakes. If I continue working like this one month or two I guess Ill be very familiar with it and accurate in my decisions. Also I miss studying the postflop game so Ill think to change a little bit my routine when Ill be back to France.

Hi there I didnt post last days I was really buisy to prepare my travel to france.
I played but not really well Im a little bit disapointed because i feel that I was playing in an automatic way and taking a lot of bad decisions at important moments.

Anyway I worked a little bit and I found this article about basic concepts PKO and how use ICMIZER to work these tournaments.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYiHmclthoA

I really want to put some effort in working pko tournaments so when Ill be in france my first two weeks I will do :
-Push and call cEV and ICM training
-review some tournaments of the last session
-Improve my understanding of PKO

Since I started this blog I up my BK more than 50% so I think that it was a good idea I wont stop until the end of the challenge. I feel that I could do better because I miss some really good opportunities. But with work, habits and capacity to question what i did wrong and why, Im sure its going to be better.

So I wont play maybe one week, at least until wednesday because of my travel.
Ill be back soon !

Hi everybody !
Its been almost one month I didnt post here. I didnt give up ! I took a lot of time to have a good place to play correctly. I had many things to do before to be totally available for this project.

I played a little bit since im back in France and lost some money but i still play the same stakes. I bought a screen 24" and a new mouse. Now im not living in a city but the connection seems to be OK. For sure im going to lose some money because of this but I dont think that it worth it to have a second connection for the moment.

I dont forget my goal, to be better and become a professional. So i need to have a strict program out of the tables. Also i need to play enough to have significant results.
So every week I will :
-play at least 5 days (>200MTT)
-work my game minimum 20h

Ill start next week to follow theses rules. I want to precise that this is a minimum because i realise that if I really want to progress Ill need to work more than that.
If one week I cannot work at least 20h I have to catch up the missing hours the next week. Same for the sessions.

For the next weeks Im going to work on :
-ICMizer push or fold also my raise\call ranges
-Review all late games of the last session
-Review, learn and apply all notes taken last months
-Deepen my understanding of pko tournaments

Only with this I have a good starting point for the next weeks ans a lot to do.
Then I want to buy RYE masterclass this summer if there is a promotion or if I win more than 1500€ since now.

The race start really now 11 months left !

I will make every effort to achieve my goal. I really believe that is possible

Hey man, good luck with all this!

Buying and working with ICMizer is a very good move. It might even be worth grinding some 2/180s for a while and just really focusing on making your 5bb-20bb game super strong by marking and plugging many spots a day. But just generally having a stronger idea of push/fold is going to give you a solid edge at the stakes you play.

Also your English is fine. Subbed.

hi Thank you ! Its nice to feel some support. I just noticed your message today because I was really busy to do others stuff than poker. I played but didnt work my game. I am finally in the rythm that I wanted to have! I also, now, have some work to catch up. (20h) Ill put a countdown at the end of each one of my messages to not forget.

Also I agree with you I will prioritize 180s in my routine so if I dont manage to play 200MTT in one weak I wont try to catch up this the next weak. I will focus on playing 5days/week. If one night I realise that I have some good oportunities in late games early in the session Ill stop to launch other MTT and focus on these.
Because since i came back I took notes on a paper, I realise that I have better results when I play less tournaments in one session 30 to 49 than 50 to 69(maximum)
I checked on my tracker in 23sessions i played 4 times more than 50 mtts and lost all of them but I think that sharkscope desktop doesnt count re-entries. (also I imagine that I lauch more tournaments because the session is going wrong)

Let's go back to work !

To catch up : 20h

Are you using sharkscope desktop as your tracking software? I used to use the sharkscope site but didn't know they had software now. If it's not providing you with the correct results and information then I would suggest investing in pokertracker 4. HEM might be good too although I've only ever used PT4.

Yes I do, and thats true there are some wrong results and for the HUD i use quite basics stuff as VPIP PFR 3b f3B CB FCB and then it show his limits about steal statistics for exemple you cannot have specifics things.

So yes, I have to change this and buy PT4 and use maybe both HUD? Sharkscope HUD giving MTT results and PT4 for stats and use it outside of tables ?
I used to use HM2 but I saw that this is really slow now.

Anyway yesterday I had an other freeze with my internet and 20 tables running.. so i lost 85€ without playing thats really frustrating. I suscribed to an other internet provider today it should be good for next week. So I wont play until this is fixed but I still can work theory. Of course i want to play but the most important part for the moment is getting better. So i take this like an opportunity to be in a good routine.

This is not funny if it is too easy !

Hi there ! Just a quick post to say that last week was very good !

I have my new connection, this is not really good but with the second one i can manage to play without problem. So this was my first week playing 5 days in a row and i also worked correctly outside of tables. I didnt catch up what i missed last week but im pretty happy with this.

A new week start tonight with this sunday session. I feel pretty confident and really motivated !

Hi there !
To start it was a really good week at the tables i felt confortable in my decisions and was running good. I dont know if it was Iveys masterclass that a friend of mine show me last we ahah but I think i was more accurate and better to exploit my opponent.
I change my call AI range because it took me some times to realise that the field is way more tight than i expected at these limits.
When youre working on theory maybe youre just dumbly using what you learned last days and we know that try to play GTO in low bi is not the right decision.
So.. I can move up of limits next week !!
My plan was to activate an account on all french rooms and play all the 10e i can register and this is still the plan but ill need some time to have a good scheduled find a software to multitable on different rooms and open something like a skrill account to manage my BK. This will be my homework next week. Waiting this point Ill play next week still on winamax 5/10.
Also ill change my way of working outside tables because for me its too complicated to count hours of work. I think ill start by doing a task i want to do and then let me the choice to look for something about what were the problems about this task and how can i do this better. I already have to play 5 days a week just the fact to stay at home and think about poker the day is enough to me I think...
Thats it !
See you next week

Hi there !
So this week i played 5/10MTT on winamax and lost some money. I didnt play really well but I still think I have the level to play at these limits. As we know this is normal to have some losing weeks.
I was really buisy outside of poker so I didnt work my game but I played 5 days.
Also i looked for all french rooms, opened a skrill account but i have some issue. As my dematerialized PC is located in germany i cannot access to some rooms as pokerstars.fr or betclic.fr Ipokers network.. I dont really know how to fix this. I can use a VPN but I dont want to take the risk to have my accounts frozen.
I think ill just keep playing on winamax. I can have an AVBI around 7 and play like 50MTT per day. So its still OK maybe if I manage to play higher it could be different. I think that the average field is also higher than in lower buy in on this room.
Im still having fun playing and just add 10s MTT change a little bit the routine and the perspective to beat it motivates me!

Hi there !
It's been three weeks i didnt post. I didn't play a lot and didn't work my game so I had nothing to say. I have some explanation but its not the important part here... Im still playing 5/10 but im losing. Not a lot so I can easy continue to play these limits. But now and this is the important part, I can focus 100% on my goal to become a better player because I bought RYE masterclass and Im about to start to study the first part this afternoon. To be honest im quiet excited because I really want to learn new things, I hope ill find what I am looking for in this masterclass. Im not going to plan how many hours im going to study each day but in my mind its going to be a lot. Im excited like a little boy who bought a 1k new toy .
As i wrote few weeks ago this blog is a place where i can talk about what i am learning and how i am doing it. So for sure im gonna be more consistant the next weeks !
Let's go!

Hi there !
So, as expected the RYE investment worth it. Not only about the quality of the content but also about how this is changing my perception of things.
Lets me explain. At the begining of this blog I was talking about how I wanted to become a better player by using theory and i lost myself a bit in this with no more exploitative game and statics ranges etc... also i prioritised playing against studying.
I guarantee you now Im totally going to prioritize studying.
Also im done with multitabling 20 tables. I fixed a limit at 12 tables, to have more time to take my decisions, take time to analyze the table and players stats, stack sizes, whos playing behind, etc... at every single hand
Also Im at the begining of RYE course and its all about ranges and PF play so now I take the time to mark all hands with any single doubt and after the session in the night or early in the morning I review all of them. I try to take more notes about my opponents habits but to be honest with 12 tables this is still a little bit too much to be totally accurate. I hope when Ill get better all this Pf strategy and used to some typical adaptations ill be able to take more notes. I realised that at the end of the session when I have 8 tables and less I have the time to do all I need to. But I still want to play a decent volume so Ill do with 12 for the moment.
I added some stats to my HUD : RFI by positions EP MP CO BU SB and its very usefull.
I just want to add that I really have fun playing AND studying. I feel very lucky to have the time and the opportunity to work hard. I think that with this masterclass Ill have a lot of work for the next months and im pretty sure Ill be way better at the beggining 2021.
See you next week !

Hi there ! Thank you for your message this is nice to feel some support

This week was the beggining of the Winamax series, I played some 20€ in order to hit the big one but Im just BE this week so its OK. I also have a day 2 on a little 2€ next Wednesday.

After the series Im really considering to use an other server located in France so Ill can play on all FR rooms to play always the same buy in with smaller fields, but first lets finish the series next week.

Every day im still taking time to review all hands where I wasnt sure what to do in game (about PF only) and im getting better !
I added 3b by position on my hud but I feel that a little popup with the stats 3b against each position would be nice too. Now that im studying with the TMC RYE I realize that I have to buy a good tracker. I think Ill buy PT4 or HM next week.

With 3b and vs 3b play I have made progress about my conception of range construction and the adaptation with stack size and position but now I feel that I really need to do a lot of work postflop!
Also there is a point about reshoving 30bbs BWs that I wasnt able to do one week ago ...

About passive defending I constructed my ranges with equilab and understood what was the link between raw equity and realization equity. When you do things by yourself it always became more clear, thats why I like the TMC there is always homeworks to do. It is really good to assimilate and go for action !
So I was defending way to much against 2.5x open and I didnt really take into acount the vilain openraise range.
Now I start to have a better idea of each range and % from a 8% or from a nitty opponent to a 80% defending range BB vs BU min raise

Then I saw some interesting points about squeezing, to pay attention about PFR VPIP gap of the flatcaller and the F3B of the OR
For now im at the section about reshoving multiway vs LP 30 40bb and this is really interesting. To be tottaly honest this explain some concepts that I never thinked about. Now ill start to work the diffenrence of EVs about each play possible and how to get to the results. I still need to work a lot on this specific point but I know it will be a important point about my evolution and the way I think about the game.
That was a lot for one week and I hope the next one will be also rich in teaching !

See you next week

Hi there !
its been almost two weeks i didn't post. To be honest I was struggling to find a new Vps, I finished to suscribe to a dedicated server with a french IP after suscribing a french vps spend almost two days to configure everything (im now using HM3 too..). Tried Table Tamer and jinzpoker and nothing was workin only wina and ps but neither PP Unibet or betclic... So now i gave up TT and the other one and i have three rooms working correctly.
So the point his I have a 60days engagement so at the end of the 60days ill buy either a shitty computer but enough to run Hm3, sharkscope hud and 5rooms (or maybe ill change for PT4 im just doing the trial right now) or a very good one to run Pio. Of course it will depend of my results the two next months. I dont see the point to buy an expensive computer if I dont win enough to buy it with the poker money.
It tooks me so much time ! And was very frustrating because its not exactly (more far away ahah) what I was expecting. But it's gonna be ok for two months now with Wina, PS and Betclic I have enough tournaments to play only 10€ or 5€rebuy (that I always play with doublerebuy+one addon) Also Ill always favorize smaller fields in order to be sharper for late games.
Also October will be a special month in my challenge because Ill play 6days/week (and of course still work my game at least 5days)
About RYE last week was very nice ill start the postflop part and now trying to study some hands with equilab to be more accurate with the sizing, wich kind of combos bet or not etc... But its just the beggining, im now in the part that I was waiting for ! Ive just studied few hands but there are so many things to think about and I really hope I wont have any problem with my pc anymore I was waisting so much energy and time for somehting that Ill only keep two months. Anyway I played only two sessions with 10€ MTTs only and I have to get used to multirooming. Ive schechuled all tournaments I want/can play on a notepad so when I bust I know in wich room lookiing for some action. Still having fun and yes still playing 10€ MTTs... but winning this month! For info im playing with a 0.5%bk management. Remember I have the time, now lets work my game before thinking about the money and results will show!
I also blocked my sharkscopes in all sites
thats all folks ! Hope Ill come back week with more poker talking !
See you next week

Hi there !

I realized that i forgot to tell that since im playing multiroom im only playing 8tables. I think I found something that is nice for me. Time of decisions etc... I always thought that I was losing money by playing less but it seems to be that im winning so much EV by taking my time. Also I had a reflexion about satellites this week. Im thinking about add few in my routine or maybe at a specific time of the week. Im not sure about that but still open to adjust or change.
I also now have PMU poker this is the same network than party and this software is working on my server.
In term of winning I had a really good week and it could be even better because i made THE horrible play of the year (I hope it was ahah) on a FT with more than 1K to win. In general if I lose a flip or whatever Im not upset because this is part of the game. But here I literraly did ****. But after a good night of sleep I was ready to get back to work the next day

Hi there !
This week I didn't take a day off, I told that I was going to play a lot in October so this is what i am doing. I had good results and yesterday was my only losing session of the week and before that I won 9sessions in a row! I know there is a big part of luck in this but its stil good for confidence. Im only playing around 20mtts/day but this is, for sure, increasing my ROI and my confidence.
Also as I am playing more little fields Im accumulating information about my oppenents. Now when im taking notes i write little sentences to tell me what to do in order to exploit them directly, before i was just describing the action so i was losing time by reading this and thinking about how i can exploit them in game.
My bk is now at the highest point since i began this challenge (expect i slightly lost yesterday) and I hope ill soon be able to play 20's.
I added some colors to my Hud, this is still taking me a lot of time but its cleary easier to read it in game and find quickly for the info i am looking for. Maybe Ill delete one line, the 3b by pos because i made a new pop up with 3b by pos against each pos and fold to 3b IP, OOP against each position too. I didnt take a decision yet.
I did some hand analysis and the more I do the more I am questioning myself! But I like this part of my learning, this week was more about how to play as a cold caller ip and bvb value/bluff ranges. I really need to post some of my reflexions on the RYE discord or on 2+2. Will be EV+++ to have feedback of more experiences players.
To finish some negatives points : Many times i dont take the decision in harmony with my thinking process, maybe a remainder of my mass multi habits so I play too fast or maybe im just letting my feeling take over my reasoning. Definitely a mix of both !
That's all !
See you next week !
