Bit behind the volume atm, but I figure it'll be like this until it's all a bit more natural to me; grinding more than 8 hours on the tables in a single day isn't something that happens all that often with me. Despite that, I'm really enjoying this challenge, and for the first time in a long time, there's a clear goal in mind. I'm going to say there's around a 60% chance of failure atm, but don't count me out just yet!
Will update properly in a few days with some HH's and results thus far. Thanks a lot to the people who replied with nice things to say.
Cheers & gooooood luck!
Yea, I've found that making challenges and goals in poker makes me enjoy grinding it out a lot more. Good luck mate.

Yeah, I didn't expect to get such a boost of motivation for it - the challenge moreso designed as a test to see if I could do it - but as soon as it was official (after I posted the 2p2 post if I'm being truthful), it felt like I had something immediate to do, and it's been that way since
So around a week has passed so far into the challenge, and I can honestly say I'm thoroughly enjoying it! I struggled at first with just 2-tabling (300 hands an hour for 8 hours a day can quickly become brain numbing to the best of us), but after the addition of a 3rd table, session lengths have increased, and grinding just feels a lot easier, counter-intuitively.
So far I've played 19,093 hands in 14 days, which means I'm a bit behind pace (pace @ 22.5k) hand-wise, but since I'm now 3-tabling and getting more hands in per hour, I'm likely ahead of pace hour-wise, so long as I continue to 3-table from here on out.
The sincerest of apologies to those who are just here for free $, so like 80% of you ; I do feel confident about successfully completing this, and tbh, I'm really glad I decided to go ahead with it, as it's forced me to 3-table, which is something that will show its EV in the (soon) times to come.
4. This was kinda insane: literal first hand of the sesh and I hadn't realised I binked the turn, thus I was "bluffing" the river at the time. Cried a bit inside when he snapped river. It was only when I went back to the table (after I had taken my note on him) that I saw a 198bb stack and realised what had happened - there really isn't a better feeling, esp with it being the very first hand of the sesh
Clanty, do you think you can maintain the same skill level and find the small edges (which probably make a difference between an average winning player and a crusher) with your style of playing poker when grinding 2+ tables? Gl for the challenge!
Do u think that playing less tables is having an huge impact to ur red line or would u be able to do it while 4-6 tbling?
gl to the challenge, sir!
It definitely has some impact for sure. Do you mean 4-6 reg tables or ZOOM? If reg, then I think I could keep it up for sure, but there's no chance I could with 4-6 ZOOM.
Cheers mate!

Alright mate
No, I sacrifice some evBB's 3-tabling atm, but give it a 100k hands or so, and I should be able to make most of them up - at least, that's the plan!
3. Not often you get to rep the Royal with 6 hi . Vs 2 regs, figured it's a massively underbluffed spot (let's be honest, nobody ever ***** bluffs here), so I was hoping they'd even fold the 98dd straightflush
River: ($33.58) T (3 players)
BB bets $15.95, UTG calls $15.95, Hero raises to $75.76, 2 folds
Spoiler:
Results: $81.43 pot ($2.75 rake)
Final Board: A J Q 4 T
Hero mucked 5 6 and won $78.68 ($51.87 net)
BB mucked and lost (-$26.81 net)
UTG mucked and lost (-$26.81 net)
h4 is fine at a low frequency
OTF he has a blocker to the bdfd + 1 overcard
OTT he still has a blocker to the bdfd + 1 overcard
OTR he is at the bottom of his range, pretty sure he has some 25s combos that are better checks
liking these hands mate
i think you have improved alot imo

nahh lol, it's terrible, it was obv a read (or am I just a monkey (that's rhetorical Mirage)?)
also, your logic between flop/turn is crazy: xr flop and xr turn are completely different beasts, yet you justified both with an identical argument which doesn't come close to standing true ott (agree w/ flop)

Month looks to be going sick, good to see you’re getting more volume in too! Your progress as a whole has been pretty inspiring, gl the rest of the month!

it is! all thanks to the 3rd table and a wee bit of willpower
Off topic a bit, and I don't usually link anything like this, but I was crying with laughter last night to a good ol' bit of Frankie Boyle (doubt anyone outside of the UK knows of him)! Have dropped the link below in case anyone is interested. NSFW and not for those easily offended btw! Enjoy
