Hello, I've been on and off from poker for around 10 years, joined a stable at some point which turned me into a slightly winning player at micros, burned out and ended the contract accordingly, paying a fee. After that I messed around here and there, omaha, spins, mtt, always micro stakes.

After around a year of inactivity I downloaded stars again, had $100 sitting there and a $10 RB offer. I started playing this week taking advantage of my free time although next monday I'm back to doing this thing I love (being a primary school teacher), but pays like *** specially in a 3rd world country (Mexico). Plan is to grind at least an average of 3k hands/ day after monday, and grind at least 10k hands this weekend. I 4 table zoom, so avg of 1k hands/hr

Not much time to study besides the time I will dedicate writing here.

Here are the stats of this past week since I came back(I was a former HM2 user, got gifted a mac, and its not like HM2 is getting support anyways, might buy PT4 the next month, meanwhile I still have 25 days of free trial of this weird tracker)

Been running hot, shouldn't have played today, I went to six flags with some friends but came back earlier than expected I was tired, I splashed and made bad plays.

I think realistically I can mantain 10bb/100 on NL2z, planning to take a 5 BI shot on NL5z when I reach $200 BR.

Also here are my stats so far if anyone can give some tips about fixes or things to focus. I think today's session might have skewed some things my 3B was at around 10% and after today it's at 12%, too much splashing... Anyways, 3betting 27o is +ev at micros right (wink)

Mental health goals:
Run or do home workouts at least 5days/week
Do at least 15 min of piano practice (I'm amateur, intermediate level, working on Czerny OP. 299 exercises)
Plan my classes according to schedule, no last minute planning...

GL man. Stats seem solid. 10bb is definitely sustainable if you exploit the pool and don't spew.

When I was writing the goals for this weekend I completely forgot my cousins were coming over today (Sunday) I spend half of yesterday cleaning the house, went on an evening easy jog, 7km at recovery pace.

Today I woke up early to get in some hands, but I only managed to get half the hands I wanted for the weekend, no more poker for today as my cousins are arriving in any minute.

Stats for today's early session and yesterday hands, seems like my hot run got to an end.

I made 2 mistakes where I'm supposed to be over folding, got stacked like a fish, both times villain showed up a set. Besides that pretty solid poker, run a bit under variance but even considering that I would be 4BIs down on EV.

I'm starting to get a couple hundred hands for the regs, a lot are nits, I'm starting to steal way more from the button vs specific villains.

Bankroll is nicely sitting at: $151

I was planning on moving to ggpoker after clearing the 10$ RB deal, but the hand after I completed it I got another one, it's basically 40% RB + the chests (that are complete garbage lol).

Anyways I deposited $25 on ggpoker to play around a bit, I like to burn money on $1 tourneys from time to time, and don't want to lose track of my cash roll so far. I will not be posting my ggpoker roll or results and will keep that money separate.

Still planning to play more today but I gotta write some work related stuff first. Been playing ok, two big bluffs got nowhere as villain showed up a set and on the other one V tank called with QQ, but I almost never 4B with AK and today decided to 4B, in both hands V called and I made a 1/3 flop bet into a turn shove with A high, boards were dry.
My 4B range is usually KK+ exclusively with some random A5 bluffs (extremely low frequency).

There are a couple Vs with 20% 3B, but completely normal VPIP/PFR (23/21 ish), only 200 hands but been tightening up pre vs them, tagged them with my old red color for LAG players so that it's easy to spot them (although I don't use the LAG term anymore when describing players, feels outdated in the current pools)

Didn't play on the 6th, the 5th results shown are only for reference as I already posted them on my last post, considering how often to post here, next update might be on sunday. I'm open to suggestions

Bankroll: 160.82 (including the $10 rakeback chest)

The 3k hands per day might've been too optimistic as I have a lot of other stuff to do, will still try.

So far this week only practiced piano 1 day, did exercise 2 days, it's been raining a lot, wanted to go on a run several times but the rains just kept going, one day I gave up and did nothing, the other I made some home workouts for abs and cardio.

And been working on schedule for my planning / class preparation, life's feeling good.

Haven't been able to play many hands, lots of work stuff been going on, today also is my weekly 2 hour session for a course I'm taking, I have to prepare a paper for it so its not only the 2hrs/week but I have to read a lot of stuff/research so it takes a lot of my free time too.

Imported my hands to my old computer with HM2, it feels easier to play poker on windows considering all the years I've been using HM2, easier to tag hands and do session reviews.

I'm a chicago bears fan too, yesterday was the first game of the season, was expecting a loss and it was a loss, good thing is GB lost worse (lol), and the whole NFC north is 0-1, so we're tied for first hahaha.

The blue color looks unreadable on talpatak dark mode haha I should change it, been having issues accessing 2p2 forums, it will show a DNS error on either phone laptop or computer, already tried resetting the internet router with no effect, only reason I'm able to post this is because I disabled my phone wifi to use my phone data plan.

Feels as if I'm being IP blocked or my internet provider is blocking access, will contact provider tomorrow, a bit awkward to post pics this way so will not post info until I can fix it.

But overall the challenge is doing well, been running a bit hot, also we're in the middle of Mexico's independence day celebrations so I've had no work, been able to play 3k hands/day since last update, BR is close to reaching $200 and I expect to take my first NL5z shot this weekend.

I also won a GTO wizard 1 month subscription at a stream giveaway, will mess around with it studying for when I play on bigger stakes.

If anyone has any input regarding my access issues that can post here will be highly appreciated.

Felices fiestas! if any Mexican (or tourist/expat currently in Mexico) is reading this.

Connecting through a proxy as the waiting line for my internet provider seems endless, and I have no issues for any other site besides this one. So meh.

Here are the past sessions

Here is the graph since the start of the challenge:

+$10 from the rakeback challenge, I'm also very close to finishing the 2nd $10 challenge of the month.
And I realize I haven't been tracking my chests (cuz they are usually trash) nor the odd leaderboard finish (usually 30c-50c). But seems they have been adding up a bit for an extra couple of dollars.

Already requested an up in limits to be able to play NL5 tomorrow (I use the responsible gaming tool a lot).

Haven't played today, might take the day off, would like to mess around with GTO wizard and prepare my classes for next week. I also have a family dinner tonight.

Mental health goals:
Have been doing exercise around 4 days / week, not much running, mostly home workouts.
Haven't practiced piano at all the past week.
On schedule for all work/courses paperwork.

Got in the first few hands at NL5, right now at around -3 BI in EV, but running over EV (as I've been the whole challenge), getting used to the limit, switched my layout to show stacks in BBs.

Last sessions:

Graph of only NL5z:

Will drop back to NL2z if BR hits $180, I almost get another $10 in rakeback, so hopefully I won't need to dropback.

Took Sunday off to spend time with my family.

Hi readers, got sick yesterday from covid, I'm already vaccinated and have had very mild symptoms besides a general body weakness, already on meds, was thinking on not playing but I just felt so bored doing nothing on the bed, played only 1k hands/day yesterday and today.

My EV winrate is now breakeven, but I keep running hot, cracked a few Aces with AK on all in preflops, also it seems every time I get it in good with 70-80% I always hold, resulting on my net result being on the greens.

Graph of only NL5:

I'm confident that I'm a winning player on the pool, of course time will only tell, breakeven isn't even that bad considering rakeback, already cleared another +$10 RB challenge.

Bankroll: $243.89

Last sessions:

I seem to be unable to show EVwinnings on this report tab, turning on the option doesn't work, but HM2 no longer receives support so I expect that it will be slowly breaking down.

I'm still winning on EV on those sessions but not as much. And anyways the graph I posted shows breakeven since moving up. I can't grab this sessions with +ev results on a vacuum and using the "I was getting used to the new limit" excuse to disregard the first thousands hands is lame.

Not much done on mental health goals as I'm mostly resting.

Still feeling a bit sick, just tiredness overall, I'm keeping close track to my oxygen levels, and I'm on touch with my doctor, nothing to worry about so far, should be clear of it in the next days.

I got a bit behind on my real life responsibilities, between my course and work stuff, both are aware of how I am so there will be no real consequences if I decide to completely skip this week's stuff, but I feel a bit bad because I've been putting hours on poker while lacking on the other areas.

Today I completed another $10 RB challenge, only 3 days left on the month and although I've done the math on how much rake I'm paying at NL5z (way more than I'm comfortable, but with %40 RB its ok), and in theory I could push and finish another challenge in the remaining days, I'm very likely to just not play more poker at stars (as without the 40% rb it is not worth it) until next month.

I also got super lucky with my last two leaderboard finishes, Today I got a 1.60$ chest and yesterday got a whooping $20 bucks!

How the last days have gone:

I didn't play on the 24th

Bankroll: $286.82

How the NL5 graph is looking:

Still mostly breakeven, the EV line is a little bit on the greens, but considering the sample its still possible for me to be a losing player, breakeven player, or winning player at the pool, not enough data to say anything in particular.

Probably not more updates until Sunday, because as I said, I will very likely take the next days off to rest and use the couple hours of energy I have everyday to get up to day on work and my courses.

Take care, good luck everybody!

Thanks for the comments guys!

Bankroll: $286 (ish, I'm getting a bit of coins instead of actual $$ from the chests)

Very sad to inform that players in the blue and bronze chests are not eligible for BR challenge, so I have no BR challenge yet. I'm 3/5 already on bronze chests already and should be getting the remaining in the next day or two of actual grind.

I didn't play much today and yesterday, mostly just for the daily leaderboard. I'm back on 100% health, although I'm a bit out of condition for running, on the weekend I went out on runs and I could barely keep up, before I used to run 7.5km on recovery pace (6:10min/km) as my easy days, the friday I could only run 4km on recovery pace before feeling as if I were on treshold so I stopped. Saturday I ran 5km, it took me 32min (first 2.5 km took 17min, the other half took 15min) and I ended up incredibly tired as if I had ran in a competition. Seems like all my running condition went down the drain and I have to start from zero, no biggie tho as it's mostly muscle tiredness, my oxygen levels are good and I'm feeling energetic and healthy.

Last sessions:

How the month is looking so far:

Plus around 4$ between leaderboard chests and bronze chests (they give me $1.50 per chest, but its usually mixed between cash and coins).

Hopefully tomorrow I can put in a proper session! Since I'm back on track this past two days I've been working my ass off for my real life responsibilities, I actually still have to finish two presentations for tomorrow's class, I try not to teach using presentations as (for people that don't know pedagogy) we're supposed to not just expect students to memorize, repeat, or copy, instead they have to construct the knowledge on their own, my way of teaching is something similar to the Socratic questions, but sometimes some contents need to be given the old way no matter how hard I try, I hope someday to be a way better teacher so that I can teach anything using constructivism, but tomorrow behaviorism won (For any native english speakers that are also teachers, please correct me if that's te actual word used in english as I translated it, in spanish we call it "conductismo" but seems conductism isnt a word).

Bankroll: $347.17 (+ couple hundred starcoins)

Got the 5th bronze chest and automatically got offered the same RB deal as last month the $10 one, I haven't completed it cuz I've barely played any volume this past week, been enjoying life haha, work's good, friendships good, and my overall athleticism is coming back faster than expected, Friday and Saturday I ran 6 and 7.5km respectively without feeling exhausted or like I was pushing myself, I ran without taking my time to not push myself but it was probably at around 6:15min/km with the last kilometer each day at around 5min/km.

I've gotten a couple leaderboard chests for 80cents each, plus the 2 bronze chests remaining before I went to the next chest type (for $1.50 each bronze chest but mixed between cash and starcoins)

I've been in an upswing the last few days, took Saturday off

Last sessions:

Graph of the month:

And since I've been posting only NL5 graphs since I moved up, here is the graph of the whole challenge:

I will update more sparingly since I don't think I'll be able to play more than 2k hands/day with most days at 1k hands, I've been giving my classes online as requested by the parents of my group, which basically had let me grind in the morning, middle of the day, at recess, etc. In a couple of weeks I should be going back to school (FINALLY, I've missed it so badly and haven't gone there since the pandemic started, well I've been there, but not to give a class) as all the remaining 1 dose parents will be fully vaccinated by next week. And I've managed to let them see the urgent necessity their kids have of real social interactions with their peers. So a lot is going on work related to prepare for it.

Good luck to all readers! Take care of yourselfs, love yourself above anything else (unless you are deeply religious, in that case its barely ok to love your god first, but just barely)

Thanks a lot!

Just realized I had hidden my showdown lines on the last posted graphs, it was not intentional, so just popping quickly to post the months graph with the showdown lines, nothing interesting, red down, blue up.

Very low volume so far and its almost half of the month, slow but steady.

October Summary

Didn't play much after last updates, I didn't have much time and Pokerstars kicked me out of the leaderboard program for the rest of the month, with the leaderboard I probably would've played 500-800 hands most days squeezing in when I had time, but didn't see much point without it considering I would be playing semi-tired.

The month results and graph:

Didn't track accurately my rakeback, but you guys can see from the last posts an approximation of how much I made from it.

Bankroll start for November: $386 + 400 starcoins

November plan

I got the $30 40% rb challenge, according to my math I'd need to play an average of 1k hands per day (on NL5) to complete it, don't think I can play everyday but I'll try to get in 2k+ hands days whenever possible.

Goals:
Exercise at least 4 days / week
Work on my course thesis (At least 3 pages per week)
Practice piano at least 3 days / week

Already put in the first session of the month, 1k hands with +$1 net and -$1.60 EV, next update will probably be on the 15th or the end of month, will see depending on volume.
