Re: Zero to Hero. My quest to become a solid person/player.

So, under counsel from the always awesome Arxontas, I have done a 12 hour self exclusion from Stars, due to the fact that I am drinking tonight, and my roll tends to get molested on a wednesday night.

Everyone have a good night. gl at the tables

Alright, so I'm in a club ATM and it has three level, the bottom level is like a heavy club beats/hooking up section, the middle level is like a chilling out/chatting section, while the top level is a replicate/heavier version of the first/ opens when big acts come to town,

I've realised that while the bottom level is all about preflop play, the middle level is all about postflop play.

So I'm gonna stick to the bottom level, as I generally know when to shove and when to fold.

Yeah they do, but currently the hypers are packed out with ******ed fish all the way Upto the 15s. If you can play them well you have a huge edge.

Ok so, OP's fail of the night.

So, a 7/10 comes to my mates unit earlier in the night, I would stick my dick in her without liquid help (booze).

Anyway, I'm now out, I'm under the influence of a couple of litres of cider, and I want to ****. The chick from the unit earlier starts hinting at me, brilliant, chatting to her for a fair decent amount of time/hand on her arse dancing, anyway, she says we can go and do **** if I hook her mate up with a dude, the mate in question is a 1/10, and the likelihood of me getting a dude to hook up with her was the very same likelihood of me winning the World Series. I just couldn't do it, anyway, after a few, "She should just be move brave"s, I'm starting to think I have this 7 in my bed, as we are about to hook up, she asks how old I am, 19 I say, to which she replies:

"Ohh! You're just a baby! I'm 20!"

My brain starts to go into meltdown, I just wasted numerous hours trying to chat up this ***** while she was hinting **** and she is gonna try and make out that I'm too young?

I ask her if she is serious, which she replies, "of course".

I calmly and respectfully reply, "well **** this, I'm going for more drinks, see ya"

My name is Louis, destroyer of poon.

I am currently on my way back home, so no grinding for the next few days. Really should get myself a laptop.

Anyway, figured I'd take some time to explain some things I've learnt over the last week:

•I'm thinking more in depth about how I should be betting for value, instead of thinking, "Bet huge on the river", I'm actively thinking about their calling range and what amount I think they will call, I'm starting to get happy about my value betting.

•I'm adjusting my ranges depending on the opponent, I make a lot of loose shoves/big bluffs based on how I feel they will react.

•My bet sizing is still something I feel I need to work on a lot, I'm not entirely happy with how I bet sometimes, I need to start asking better players to review my hands.

•I'm keeping my aggression at a relentless level, I'm playing upwards of 5.0 AF and I'm happy with how aggro I am. I believe at the micros it is the only way to play.

•I'm still making rookie decisions in relations to calls, but I'm folding a lot more when I think I'm beat, (obviously), but I think you understand what I mean.

Haven't played much at all over the last few days, worked yesterday but unfortunately can't work today. Which sucks, as I now only made $200 this week. Ahh well I guess. Anyway, my head is all over the place ATM due to this girl, crazy ******ed feelings and I just don't know what to do.

(obvs without drinking, ****ing stupid laws), I've heard there are card rooms that are 18+ but I know the casinos are all 21+. Also gonna start working out, gotta be "chiselled", for dem Yankee sloots.

I am planning on not taking clothes with me, besides the **** I have on, and just filling a suitcase, and playing A LOT of poker. Generally I am just an expensive human with frivolous tastes, pretty much wanna be able to do whatever.

Haha you asked for it!

Well my Hyper game is steadily improving, starting to really think about why I am making a move/why they did what they did.

I'm getting it in good a lot, and I'm trying to keep the tilt at bay, (even though I did about 25 flips with some Slovakian before haha) BR is at roughly $52 atm, aiming to have it back at $75 in the next few days.

Printed out a load of info/flash cards and stuck them behind my grind space to remind myself of key items.

Went swimming at the pool today, **** I'm unfit, but I play a tonne better if I have exercised that day.

In fact, I'll give you a ****ing update. I'm sick and ****ing tired of HEM2 being such a useless piece of ****ing ****. The devs should be cockpunched for how ****ing broken this ****ing thing is.

What kind of flash cards/info you talking about?

Have you switched over to SNG's or are you still doing MTT's? and what stakes?

i play 4NL fullring cash and i plan on playing live. i play 2 freeroll tourneys (5000 people) but i can never win? after getting pretty good at cash NLHE, i plan on playing a lot of MTT's. when will that happen

I will take a photo and post it, one of my grind space.

And I'm currently playing HUSNGs at the micros, I can't focus on MTTs due to being at Uni, it conflicts with my sleeping/attending classes.

I'd recommend (although you're not gonna listen, because neither did I) not playing cash until you're at like 25nl and crushing. And I wouldn't start at 1/2 either. Jump straight into 2/3.

It takes a lot of deposits to straight crushing, I've deposited a solid 12+ times.
