you know when your in an aussie dominated thread when this comes..

Spoiler:

anyways gl op, if anyone from sydney wants to talk strat feel free to pm

oh and fyi, just went through a bit of the thread, it looks like you dont really understand the fundamentals well.. it takes time, and will come but if your going to continue to tilt off your roll because you run bad then you should prob 1.quit now and hit up the cas when u wanna gamble 2. work on it. psychology is like the most underrated thing in poker, you need to work on this while learning the fundamentals, i play some really good players who just dont handle swings well and turn into massive fish. also dont think 2nl as a $2 buyin game, you need to lose the value of money and think of it as bbs, alot of your play is very bad and i know its because the mentality behind your decisions are "*** it, its just a cheeseburger". im not trying to pick fights and you dont have to take in anything i said, but gl on your journey regardless.

Thank you very much for replying

I'll never berate someone for telling me I'm bad with a logical reason. So don't worry

I fully recognise I am a terrible player haha, I'm working towards it but it's a long journey, my tilt I'm starting to get under control kind of but it's still bad (used to be worse).

Please keep replying here, always happy with constructive criticsm, gl at the tables

I dunno dude, you have to look at it the way you look at poker, if you are getting rejected you either need to change your style, or increase your volume.

Also, don't reject fat bitches, you chat to them, come across as an awesome dude, their hot and skinny mates think "Why is he chatting with our fat and ugly mate?" and then try and come over and beat her to the dude. Either that or you take a few mates and palm the fat ones off to them after chatting them up and walk over to the hot mates, the best way to meet girls is not by chatting all of them up, it's by getting their mates to chat you up themselves.

Re: Zero to Hero. My quest to become a solid person/player.

Played a total of 1.7k hands so far today. Playing way better than I was before the break, thinking tonnes more about ranges, board texture and bet sizing. Quite happy with how I played. Ran way under EV and ended up 3.5BI down so far.

Might play later, depending on this uni assignment and how I'm feeling. Will post stats and giraffe a little later.

Social life:

Went out and was absolutely munted last night, got to about 1am and I remember nothing from then on. Woke up in my own bed this morning and flipped ****. Hooked up with one bird but nothing interesting.

PS: Goon (cask wine) is evil. So evil.

Re: Zero to Hero. My quest to become a solid person/player.

Today:

Since starting the thread:

As you can see, my SD winnings are currently ****ed in the head, this is disgusting and I could really use some serious help on how to fix it. I'm really thinking about the hands but can't make a ****ing difference to it.

And the whole, raped by EV thing is a bit daunting as well.

I'm definitely improving. I can see it in my game and the way I'm thinking about opponents and hands. But losing flip after flip is getting a bit demoralising.

I ran at 20.8/14.4/4.5(3b) today. I need to get my PFR higher and I'll be happy with my stats.

ye fair enough, but i think you should play less tables until you are crushing the games.

dont worry about your stats, just play according to your opponents and their tendencies.

Re: Zero to Hero. My quest to become a solid person/player.

So people have a basic idea of how I've been running over the last 3k hands.

Poker Stars $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

MP: $1.54
Hero (CO): $1.60
BTN: $4.98
SB: $3.38
BB: $2.05
UTG: $6.73

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is CO with T Q
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.06, BTN calls $0.06, 1 fold, BB calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.19) K 9 J (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.06, BTN raises to $0.24, BB folds, Hero raises to $0.60, BTN raises to $4.92 all in, Hero calls $0.94 all in

Turn: ($3.27) K (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: ($3.27) K (2 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: $3.27
Hero shows T Q (a straight, Nine to King)
BTN shows 9 J (a full house, Kings full of Jacks)
BTN wins $3.16
(Rake: $0.11)

Re: Zero to Hero. My quest to become a solid person/player.

You are not learning the game fast enough at 8 tables at a time.

You should be playing max 4 tables plain and simple. MAX untill you are a solid enough winner than even tho your winrate goes down playing 8 tables, your hourly goes up.

I just feel like I play more hands 4 tabling due to getting bored/distractions and such.

I'll just go back to 4 though.

What are your stats?

Playing more hands might not necessarily be a bad thing. Your handreading will improve more as you are paying attention to a lot more while 4 tabling.

I used to play 6 tables at a time of 6max back in the day, and because of a stupid rakerace I bought an extra monitor and started playing 16 tables of 10/20 NL.

I went on a 20 buyin downswing immediately after. My red line just went straight down because I was folding in too many spots due to playing too many tables and not paying attention to small pots.

Once you get tilted and start playing bad, that bad play is amplified so much more the more tables you are playing.

If you already feel you have plenty of leaks that need fixing then playing more tables is just a recipe for disaster.

Also if you are distracted, then maybe try putting on some music while playing.

Just make sure its not music that makes you play overaggro or distracts you too much..

Altho I listen to all kinds of music, a lot players seem to suggest just listening to music without lyrics.
