So, under some great advice from Arxontas, I've looked into the 180's to play during my busy periods.

As I am at uni, and during holidays I will be working 7am - 4pm ish, the MTTs would be difficult to merge into my schedule, due to them taking to long, and I don't want to play the turbo MTTs. So I'm going to be play the 180s to build my BR and garner some experience when I have work or other commitments, and then during weekends, I'll play the MTTs. Probably playing schedules of around $200 a day. So I'll be looking for some good volume when I do play them.

I think the advise for the 180s is good because it will give me some serious experience of all varying types of play, short stack, big stack, mid stack. And they don't run anywhere near as long, so I can Multitable them for a nice return.

I'll be starting at the 2.50s. (And yes I know these are turbos), and steadily progressing as I see fit. While I'm doing this 180/MTT merge, I'd like to be getting in at least 40 180s a day.

I'll also be combining this with physical activity in order to get fit, which could possibly be Muay Thai, as I'd like to know how to defend myself while getting fit. And I'm considering starting Yoga, or some other mental serenity styled thing.

Cheers guys

Well then, it took a year, many flips. And many times admitting I'm a terrible player. But over the last week I put some serious work into my game. And I can safely say I am a better player for it.

So, quick update on things!

Poker:
Playing better than I've ever played before, running cold when I get ITM I feel though.

Got my ITM % over my November Sample to 16%, quite proud of my effort, even if the sample is only for 70~ games #samplesizelol

I was playing the other night and I asked myself a question in my head towards what range the bloke reps, actually surprised myself because of the types of questions I've recently been asking myself while on the tables. Very happy with current progress.

Ran deep in a few places. 20th in a 1000~ runner field.

And a few shallower runs, overall fairly happy though.

Just waiting for another bink haha.

Life:
In the process of securing a rental property with three mates for Uni during the New Year and the next 2 years. Pretty excited to get into my own place

Exams aren't going too badly, probably should study more but **** happens I guess.

And I'm headed to Adelaide (pronounced Badelaide for anyone who has ever been to Badelaide) for work, gonna meet up with the always amazing Arxontas and do a bit of drinking and possible degening.

Anyway guys, I'm out, have a good one and good luck with your individual pursuits.

So, I've been talking/looking over a few things and I'm wondering if MTTs are the way to go just due to time constraints. Thinking I might give the Hyper HUSNGs a go just due to the fact that they finish quick and I can grind these anytime during the day. As opposed to having to start MTTs late, running deep and min cashing.

If I try this, I think I'll make a big heave for it and try and take SN by the end of 2013.

Which would be great. Anyone care to chime in?

I finished exams today dude! just thought id brag

dont do hypers..no edge even if you want to do a small session you will just be constantly dissapointed with results and your game wont improve by seeing a small sample of hands under tight blinds structures all the time every time.

Didn't you go to America man?

I wouldn't suggest hypers.. They can be beaten, but with a very small ROI% and lots of study, ur main profits will come from RB. Unless you think its funny to get 150 bi downswings ^^

No but srlsy, they're way too stressfull imo. If you don't have time for MTT's try 9-man or 18-man turbo's. U'll have a bigger edge if r good.

GL with the MTT's anyway, I'm grinding my @ss off at the MM upcoming week See you around!

Hey people, figured I'd give a quick update as I'm waiting for my mate to pick me up.

Realised I have about 700 FPPs in my account so **** it, let's go bink some sattelites!

Jump on a Sunday Storm hyper sat. MM turbo sat and another random hyper. Take down all three and unreg. $16 in T-Cash.

Grind the 1.50 6Max tables, I now have $16 real cash in my account, grind these for a bit; up and down, still working out a few kinks, decide to have 2 shots at the 3.50s because why not? I'm free rolling right?

End up HU against same villain in both, bink both of them.

Then go back and grind the 1.50s for a while.

BR at $45. Not bad for a days work.

So, arrived in Adelaide last night, quite late after moving all my **** out of Uni residence, kinda got me down a bit, was the greatest year of my life.

But life goes on I guess.

Anyway, woke up this morning to dad telling me we arrived just as Adelaide received a "Catastrophic" fire likelihood warning, oh joy. We start work at 7pm tonight, probably work til 2am. I got paid 8 hours for the travel up and and the same deal back though, so it's not too bad.

Anyway, meeting up with Arxontas tomorrow for lunch, and then thursday I start work at 9pm so we are going to hit the casino and play some 2/2 (lolwot) before I start. Should be good.

Met up with Arxontas today for food and to chill out, after getting some Asian food and assessing the local "talent". We went and had a look at the casino and prayed that something had happened and the poker room was open. No dice.

Ended up walking downstairs and I thought **** it, let's have some small time degen fun. Took $20 and played some video blackjack, ended up rolling it in $100 and then dropping $30 back. Still profited and I was a happy man. Arx didn't play and just advised me as to a few decisions, which was helpful as he has got more blackjack experience.

Ended up in a bar and had a few drinks.

Will be playing tomorrow with Arx at the casino when the card room opens up. We are getting food and then heading in for some 2/2 action. Should be fun.

Updates as the game goes.

Gl everyone

I'm sure Arx has a few things to say about them...

I'll put it as simply as I can though, if you could wear hoodies and turn your iPod up until your ears bled. They'd be profitable. But I couldn't handle the place if it was my regular live game.

So, Arx ran into two pretty nasty coolers and I ran pretty well even though I played like an absolute fish.

I also played a bit of BJ which was good fun, first bit of degening in a while.

Arx is in Melbourne as of the 7th.

The games are usually good, only bad thing is not many games run. Also if you play 2/2 they have the 20second rule which can suck at times but its also good for the players who try to act like the players on TV poker.

You know the game is good when someone hears the word position and asks what it means lol.

Was good to see you won overall at BJ lol

cant wait to see the crown!

Ohh yeah, if there are any Melbourne 2+2ers who are keen to come get food sometime on the 8th, hit me up. We will be in crown so probably Asian.

Uppppdaaaatttteeeee:

Worked in Adelaide and racked up 60~ hours. Nice for a tidy little pay check haha.

Back now an just awaiting more work, dont have my pc with me so I can't play my newly purchased Hitman or grind at all. Kinda disappointing, but I'm picking it up tomorrow.

Poker I've decided to take a proper crack at the 6M hypers and will be purchasing a course very soon when I'm paid up.

Ladies are going well, chatting up a few birds and it seems to be going well with all of them haha.

Gl with everyone's grind
