I'm off work for the next three days. I work a schedule of four days on, three days off. Over the next few days, I plan to cook some good food, get some exercise, and go to a nearby pub game. Last week, thirty four players participated, and my friend made it to the final three, taking home £160 each. At the very least, I can enjoy a few beers and catch up with some old faces.

Last night, I spent some time looking at old pictures on my PC. I found some poker stuff and realized the last time I played 10NL was in 2015. I played for one month before moving back down to 5NL. Also, 10NL is the highest I've ever played. Who knows, maybe I'll play well, run good, and hit 25NL for the first time.

The pub game went well, though not in terms of results. On the plus side, I saw some people I hadn't seen in five years. The Mrs cashed, but I lost with pocket Jacks against AQ suited. I turned a straight, but a flush hit on the river. Later, I lost the rest of my stack with AQ against AK, no luck there either.

While waiting for the Mrs to finish in the main game, I accidentally registered for a side sit & Go. It had a £10 buy-in and was a rebuy add-on sit and go. I played tight, hoping to double up, but found no good spots. After adding on, I eventually busted out.

The prize pool for the Sit & Go was £300 for a £10 buy-in. I could probably make some decent money from this game if I bust out of the main game early.

I will try to get a proper update on this during the week.

This month, I'm up $150 and running $85 above EV. However, I feel like my gameplay could improve. There have been a few sessions where I’ve noticed that I’m not fully focused, leading to mistakes and bad decisions. In the past, I would log off when I felt this happening, so I need to get back to doing that consistently.

So far, I’ve played 17k hands, but my target was between 50k to 60k, so the volume has been subpar. It's looking more likely that I'll hit between 40k to 50k hands by the end of the month.

On a personal note, I bought some short ribs that I’m planning to slow-cook tomorrow. I’m also trying to cut sweets and full-fat juice from my diet, but I'm unsure what to replace them with. Maybe more fruit or healthier alternatives.

So far this month only managed 2.3k hands. I was out for the football on Sunday and hungover as **** on Monday. Few days off work now though so will get some hands in.

The month started well, quickly up almost 10 buy-ins over 4.2k hands. Over the next 4.5k hands we lose 15 buyins. Running above EV also.

Back at it today for a session before heading to a surprise 50th.

Suprise 50th was a good night. Didn't drink too much. Booze was a bit overpriced.

Poker wise up $100 for the month so far after being down $100.
