Sister's wedding and return of the gf to home soil today means it's unlikely I'll have any time to play in the next week or so, so gonna give myself a well-earned break. Played just under 7.5k hands at 5NL and running at ~7.5ptBB/100. Will post graphs etc when I hit 10k once I start playing again.

Played a few more hands and hit a wall of coolers. Played OK for a while then lost 5 or 6 buy-ins to rivered flushes or sets. Interestingly I appear to have a lower $/hand rate than at 2NL due to a fairly abysmal run so far at 5NL.

gl OP seems like you are doing really well and best of luck to you, what are your plans with your FPPs? i saw in a screen shot before that you had 300+ probably have alot more now? how are you going to go about trying to convert them to cash? 280 hyper turbo? also are u saving them untill u have like 3k fpps etc

Thanks for your support! Yeah looking at near 700 fpps now which is nice. A few posts back I actually asked for advice on how to spend them to make the best use for this challenge but didnt get any responses. 280 hyperturbos sounds good. Any other advice from anyone?

I wouldn't mind doing this but I doubt you'd get much out of it tbh. I tend to play loads of tables at once and don't have time to discuss each hand. I could play fewer tables but hen we wouldn't see many hands. I've been considering making a video for a while, so could always do that to help you micro-starters - wouldn't be for a few weeks now though. Alternatively I wouldn't mind railing you as you play for 30 mins or so and see what we can come up with.

p.s. Tilting is a leak just like any other. And one of the hardest to plug for new players. It'll come with time, but try hard at it and you'll save a LOT of money.

Back from a very nice 5 days in Prague and playing again today. How much time I play depends in the state of my parents' "broken" computer which I have to fix today.

Im back in the mix - had a pretty miserable session today, pretty much broke even. Tried to work out why and PT3 told me that everytime I flopped or turned a set or straight I got outflushed on the river. All fun and games On the plus-side I did hit my Stellar Award today, so that $10 goes straight in the br to give me a profit for the session.

Okay so Re: Mr2511's request for a bit of help at the micros I have decided to make a video, as I never appear to be online at the same time to coach him over skype. I will probably make a 5NL video, but if people really want a 2NL vid I might be up for making one of those too if enough people are interested. I would also appreciate input regarding how many tables to play in the vid, I usually stack 16+ but this will be too hard to follow on a vid - thinking 6-8?

As far as the video goes, I have to see this lol. 6-8 may be too many if your commenting in real time, If you just film it and talk over it afterwards you may be able to get away with it though, as you can pause to discuss multiple spots that come up. I've been playing 6max exclusively though so my head explodes when I see over 4 tables at once. As always i know of a useful thread to get you started

Btw how much attention are you paying when 16+ tabling? are u just a HUD bot now???

Believe it or not, my mac hates placing HUD on 16 tables and quickly switching between them. I tried it for a while but it's tilting when it lags behind a bit. Believe it or not I don't bother with HUD at 5NL as almost everyone plays tight/passive - I just play a solid strategy and win. I know it's not real poker but it works (6.7BB/100 atm which is pretty good 16+ tabling). I reckon the few spots I lose EV due to being read-less I make up for by playing twice as many tables as I could otherwise, and besides even 16+ tabling it's easy to notice the guy who 3-bets you every time you raise. It's all about $/hour at the micros, so I go with whatever works.

I might use the HUD in the vid though as playing fewer tables.

Yeah thats a pretty low rate man, not surprised you're finding the session swings pretty irritating.

Vpip around 16 and PFR around 10 fwiw.

Gonna work on the vid over the next few days - made one already but wasn't impressed with a few things so gonna redo it. Won a bit in that session though, so br still climbing, over the $200 mark now.
