one disappointment incoming...

The last 2 days i've done -40.66 and -67.01
There have been some crazy outdrawings and bad beat stories (mostly shortstacks getting me; AA < quad jacks; flopped trip jacks < rivered aces full; etc) but there's also been really bad and spewy play on my side.
I'm just not in it with my head anymore it seems.

Both days i went up +2BI's at 25NL in about 500-600 hands, then i went DOOOOOOOOOOWN in a steady line untill i spew off a BI 3 barreling top pair or air.
I've brought down the tables a bit today when i noticed i was losing more and more pots.
Not only were it showdown pots as usual but they were bigger and there were also a crazy amount of non showdown pots i was just 2 barreling wrongly and giving up on apparantly.

So at the moment my game seems waaaaaaaay off.
BR is at $177.37 as of right now.
I've got like $100 incoming in rakeback i think so that'll pad it a bit.

I'm glad nobody wanted to bet me if i'd go bust because it seems i am

Anyway, i've got no idea what's going on with my game and i might either:
a) play untill i find my A-game again with a huge risk of busting my roll
b) take a small break from poker to get that winning zen mood back.
c) take another long break from poker to just do other stuff and come back with a completely fresh look at poker. It worked the last time so it might work again.

stats for the month so far:

Total profit: $7.82
2.28 ptbb/100

total rakeback/bonus: $102.2
Total WR: 3.08 ptbb/100

Total BR: $177.37
Total hands: 17883
Total Time played: 65.5h (203.22 table hours)

wow thats pretty rough... im sure the cards havent gone your way though. with such an aggressive brm these swings are bound to happen but i think youll be able to rebound from it. just make sure you know when to move down if you go down too much, even if you can beat the current limit

True about moving down although i won't move down untill i hit $100 in my BR.
Had a good session yesterday playing breakeven. Got some crap hands shortstacks, the usual AK<Ax (or worse) and lost a 3way allin vs aggrodonks with KK < pocket pair, worst thing about it was that they both hit

I'll post results tonight when i'm back home

Verneer's ebook is a real eye opener...
It basically describes what i've noticed before in my own game.
His section on 'the monster' and 'the nute' describes perfectly my state of mind when i'm on tilt.
Making dumb and way too light calldowns, playing too aggro, calling minraises from nits/idiots, etc etc

We should all try to play more like the nute which is our A game or in worst case our B game

Sigh... It sucks when the target on a table who's oop gets a better hand then you...
Last hand i played i lost a buyin with AT vs AQ. Arguments can be made that i shouldn't be stacking off with AT but vs someone who's calling off every chip he has with everything (A-high, bottom pair, top pair, draws, ...)

Crazy day today. Right at the start i dropped a buyin and some more. midsession i was up 2 BI's and i ended up 0.5BI untill the last hand in which i dropped

Anyway, no time for feelings, cold hard stats now

Time played: 4.35h (8.8 table hours)
Hands: 650
Profit: $-18.32
-5.64 ptbb/100

Total profit: $-10.37
4.95 ptbb/100

total rakeback/bonus: $202.06
Total WR: 12.42 ptbb/100

Total BR: $259.04
Total hands: 19372

The weekend is here which means more time for analysis of wtf i'm doing with these cards i'm getting dealt. Obviously i'm not playing correct (in important spots at least).

In my first run i never stacked off vs shortstacks unless i had QQ+ so not even with AK. Right now i am doing that.
I'm also checkraising my big draws on the flop and either getting it in on the flop or shoving the turn because of potsize. That's something i didn't do before.

And of course i did run crazy hot before and now i'm getting hit by bad beats. Which don't help much either with getting a more profit.

WEEEEELLLLLL...

my saturday:
Time played: 4.35h (15.68 table hours)
Hands: 1041
Profit: $-71.59
-13.75 ptbb/100

Total profit: $-81.96
-xxx ptbb/100

Total BR: $187.45
Total hands: 20413

On saturday i never even came above breakeven... At most i was a buying below breakeven... spewed and donked. Near the end of the session i lost 2 BI's putting me at -71.59 for the day.

On sunday i took a look at my hands. What i was doing. What i should be doing. What i used to do.
Started playing, and BAM +2BI's, dropped back down to breakeven after losing some 70/30 flips vs shortstacks. climbed back up to +1.5BI and just now in my last session i went to -61.25 in almost 200 hands.

Just in the last 10 minutes of playing i had these:
3bet AA very big in a multiway pot? No worries, people will setmine and hit, meaning what's left in your stack is just 1 pot sized bet and you'll stack off...
The very last hand i played was KK. Flop came JT6 twotone (and one of my kings was of the same suit).
I cbet, aggrodonk shoves his 45bb stack and i call, praying he doesn't have a set.
Thank god he only had A2s... turn came A to make me go crazy and river came flush to rub it in some more.

So today i got absolutely destroyed after playing good again. Bah.

my sunday:
Time played: 2.68h (12.38 table hours)
Hands: 884
Profit: $-61.25
-13.86 ptbb/100

Total profit: $-143.21
0.5 ptbb/100 (yay different limits)

Total BR: $126.20
Total hands: 21297

I also played some hands on pokerstars on 2NL. Did +5 or something, putting my bankroll there at $32.62

This went from a happy crazy story to a bankrupt story
If it wasn't for my rakeback i would've busted my account. I have about another $70 incoming this friday so that'll help if i'm not broke yet by then.
Also, i MIGHT move down to 10NL when i hit $100. But i think i'd rather just bust my account and redeposit sometime in the future.

Today went well. had some standard spots vs loose shortstacks, some beats and, imo, 1 hand that was just played horribly horribly wrong i guess.
At one point i was up $52 but of course i ended at $8.25

Time played: 3.78h (9.5 table hours)
Hands: 694
Profit: $+8.25
+2.38 ptbb/100

Total profit: $-134.96
0.56 ptbb/100

total rakeback/bonus: $202.06
Total WR: 0.61 ptbb/100

Total BR: $134.45
Total hands: 21991
