Hello,

what's up everyone? I made already a few PG&C threads in the past but this time I really want to stick to my goals

Since my last PG&C thread a few things changed for me poker related but most notably I have a backing deal for MTTs (and 180s) since last month.

Here is my graph since then:



My main goal for the next year is to move to Malta. The current poker climate here in Germany is very uncertain and after some considerations Malta looks like my best choice for a few reasons:

- the poker community is pretty big there
- weather is great all year (warm summers, mild winters)
- local residents speak English
- reasonably low rent prices
- within the EU and not so far away from Germany

So overall it sounds like an awesome place to live and grind. I have no exact scheduling when I will move to Malta as I need to sort out some stuff irl before I can make that step and obv I need some funds for that, too.

Speaking of money, I will not set any profit goals ITT because they are out of my control anyway and just cause a negative mindset most of the time.

Instead I have some subgoals to my main goal:

1) 12k games (MTTs + 180s) in total / 1k per month / ~230 per week

2) 100k VPPs on PokerStars

3) Diamond Edge Status on FTP

4) 500 hours theory (training vids, HH reviews, DB reviews, etc.) / ~42 per month / ~ 10 week

Ok, that's all for now, so let's win all the gold and let a dream come true

Just ended my grind for today with a 7/276 in the 2k $11 6max DeepStack on Party for another ****ty day at the tables Besides some bad run I also wasnt too happy with my play today so I started to unreg a bunch mid session. Anyway, with all the deep runs I have atm it should be only a matter of time until I have a winning day again (or at least I hope so lol).

Time to finish off season 2 of Falling Skies now

yeah thats correct, altho i do add them from time to time to feel up table count, im oposite than you then i guess i love FO's better than rebuys but deffinatelly 3r goes better with mtts than fo's do

I am fine with the FO 180s, I just love them a lot more off peak for obv reasons And you are right, I find it easier to mix in 3r with MTTs than FO with MTTs, too.

Just played another short session on stars (35 games) and added another 300 bucks to my downswing which is over 2k now. Obv a great way to end the year I will try to grind both tomorrow and #SundayFunday but we will see.


BTW I finished season 2 of Falling Skies yesterday and I cant wait for the next season. It is such a good show imo. Anyway, time to take out the GF for dinner now.

And I am done for the year.... I had a ton of F3T and F2T but just ran mega bad to make it the worst day ever since my backing deal. Oh well, that isnt how I wanted to end the year but what can you do.

Yeah, 180s are swingy for sure I cant complain about them overall because I am doing very well in them since my backing deal (running hot over super tiny sample size)

Here is my graph from December but SharkScope is missing some games it seems because according to my records I am down 2.8k since the peak (around 230 ABI).



Anyway, I will watch some training vids now before I spend the rest of the evening with the missus. We will have a very relaxed NYE this time, just the two of us having a nice dinner at our home. I hope to be back at the tables tomorrow as I dont like to take days off from poker in general.

Hm okay, new year is only 15 hrs old and already the first fail

I guess it is better to have a fresh start tomorrow but at least I will watch a few training vids today and continue to redo my HUD after I started yesterday with that. But I am a hughe nerd when it comes to stuff like that so it will prolly take a few more hours before I have my new HUD the way I want it

Anyway, goals for January:

[ ] Platin Star
[ ] clear the rest of the reload bonus on FTP
[ ] 42 hours theory

non-poker related goals for January:

[ ] finish the two presentations I have this month at uni in time (most difficult goal obv)

Day 1

Obv I had to test out my new HUD so I decided to fire up a few 2.5 180s

They went quite well with a 1st, 2nd, another 2nd, a 8th (QQ<AA) as well as 5 min cashes. I am not complete happy with my HU play in the games where I finished second but oh well.

I am pretty amazed how super soft 2.5 180s are (never played them before rly) but I am sure you could make close to 100k in them p
ost RB and that pretty much "variance free".

On a side not: I find the "Set your goal" promo just mega lol esp after the Blastoff promo (or w/e the name was).

Anyway, always nice to start the year with a winning session
