Winning!
I think I can say I crushed on a few levels the past days, feels really good. I got the result for my paper @Online Marketing and got a GO for the 2nd part of the course. I'm really happy, however that means I have to get back on writing a paper the next 8 weeks or something. But this weekend I just enjoyed the weather, some beers and too much food.

Besides that I also managed to run two more so we are looking at 23,5km (~14 miles) and I haven't had any trouble with my knees. Really happy we can crush some miles again.

To finish I had a nice weekend of poker. Altho I didn't have too much time to play, I ran well and played decent. Couple of hands:

Cool jam

You at all into psytrance? I'm seeing Ben Nicky on Friday and think he's probably someone you'd be interested in.

To be honest I'm not really familiar with psytrance, so I just tuned in @ Ben Nicky - A state of trance Argentina (liveset). To be honest it doesn't really gets me, but I didn't turn it off yet. Let's see

So I just finished the full set and enjoyed it overall. It's quite amusing for just one track (or two), but for me it's got too many ups and downs every minute which I dislike when I'm listening a full set which I mostly do. That's what I like about it in techno and deephouse, building the set to a qlimax. But in general it was decent and gonna check some more. I found out about Cosmic Gate (psytrance?) and remember I used to listen to their music for a while. But that's probably over 10 years ago

Back to normal with one of my favs

Really looking forward to another festival in two weeks, but also got myself a ticket for an epic two-day event in the middle of the woods which will be in September. I was there both days last year and now we're gonna go again

Say no to weekend, yes to holiday
To be honest I was hoping to make a few more hands last weekend, but it didn't go as planned. It's quite hot at the moment so I am having a hard time sitting in front of my screen. That, but also some monkey plays. I played kinda well over the weekend, so I can't complain, but sometimes a hand can come to mind and I'm only moaning about my gameplay. Had that Saturday after only a few hands, so decided to go for beers that day

I've played almost 4k hands which is pretty decent for me and maybe we add some more this week as I'm off of work. Gonna go do a couple of things with my gf and really have to study, but I can probably get in a few sessions every now and then.

When you've got some days off..
You've got caught up by EV. But this time in real life I haven't felt reallyyy fit last days, think I've just worked a little too much at the office and for my paper/course, so these days I slept a lot and couldn't do too much else stuff except for our house. We've managed to buy a new bed and again we played well as a team and got ourself a very nice deal. Really happy about it and finally getting a new bed (for our new house). Looking forward to that.

Because of my tiredness and the sick temperatures these days I haven't been running these days. I am not sure if I would whenever I was 100% fit because this weather isn't really good for exercising. Oh well..

At least I grinded a bit and won a decent amount. Had a pretty decent day last Monday and the rest was pretty much BE lol.

Track of the day
I've first heard this track like a year ago when I was at a party with Adriatique all night long. Maybe even 2 years ago. I filmed during it and still got it on my phone Anyway I heard this banger almost everytime I saw Adriatique at festivals since that time, but it's also played a lot by other dj's. Now it's finally released

The day(s) after
After an amazing sunny festival I'm pretty much back on track again, but only for a couple of days. Next Friday I'm gonna throw a small party and the week after I'm gonna go to a festival with a Boiler Room stage like I already mentioned. Besides the Boiler Room stage, there well be some epicness with Tale of Us and Dixon. Timetable not yet released, so I can only hope they don't close different stages at the same time. That would be a tough decision

But last Saturday was really crazy. It was around 25 degrees during the day and it was a really good organized party. We arrived at 1.30 and it lasted until midnight. With 6 stages, the sun shining during the whole day and a couple of big names I really enjoyed this one. I think I liked Steve Rachmad's set the most, but also closing with Pan-Pot was huge. They dropped a lot of sick acid tracks in their set which made it really sick

As for poker I didn't do much after my last update, probably for the best lol. I hope to play some more next weekend, but the next 8 weeks I better work on my paper instead of grinding. Will see how that works out.

I also ran a few extra miles, so we're looking at 50km (~31miles)

Mixed feeling @ July
July is over. I'm taking tomorrow off, because I'm getting pretty tilted at the games lately. It seems I had too much fun in the first few weeks, that I run out of it. Or something.

Overall I can be quity happy with the biggest month, but when we take a look at the graph you can imagine. Think I've played more than decent overall, just the last days were incredible boring which made me spew a little bit. Let's call it a month:

I'm probably not gonna play too much in August, because I have a couple of party's planned and the ones I have off I should focus on my paper. But next week's gonna go bazinga with the Boiler Room coming up. Really looking forward, especially because Tale of Us will perform a 2 hour set with Dixon following for the next (last) 2 hours. Not sure why they booked Tale of Us before Dixon, instead of after, but gonna have a good time for sure. Hopefully I can make it to the boiler room and come any close to the DJ

Speaking of Dixon: Finally this banger got released (yesterday). I was waiting for this one since I've heard it in Dixon's RA set, which is already out for months (or even longer). But this one, man..

To be honest I am not overcomfortable @50z yet, so I don't wanna move out very soon. Besides I have too many other stuff going on in August & September that I don't wanna bother about poker too much. Maybe gonna try (again) at the end of 2016 when I got my paper and moved into our new house. Will see.

I will go to the Boiler Room for sure, probably between 18-19 (CET) when Young Marco is performing. My friends have some good experiences with that guy, but I never heard of him I was sure I would go to Daniel Avery, but he's closing the room @22hr. At that time I really have to be @ Dixon (or maaaybe Nina Kraviz)..

Recover
Last weekend was about the Boiler Room, Dixon, Nina Kraviz and Tale of Us at another festival. We were lucky with a day full of sunshine and the location was verryyy awesome. Located in the woods, a big field and a small stage right under the trees. We wanted to see Tale Of Us, join the Boiler Room and Dixon or Nina (they performed at the same time) but eventually the Boiler Room was pretty crowded and because of the weather we didn't want to spend our time under a roof. At the end I decided to go for Dixon and I made a good choice. It was absolutely stunning and the ambiance was perfect. Very good set of him

I'm still pretty tired and I didn't play too many hands at poker, but we're a little down at the moment. I haven't played my best game in these hands, but that happens once in a while.
