Fwiw I x flop bout 100% vs regs but vs anyone limp/calling pre, we need to bet for value and protection since he has a million pair +draw combos etc.

irs a flop that even vs a weak player we don't be in a spot where we get X/r which will happen relatively frequently.
We also don't have 3 streets of value unless we are vs a complete ******.
If we are vs a complete drooler then check call his bluffs probably better EV than hoping he has exactly like Q9 to call 3 streets. No real cards we hate either an 8 kinda sucks but that's it.

What's wrong with betting flop w intention of folding to raise and then checking some turns or rivers?

With checking the flop we also give villain the chance to bluff turn and river with hands he would XF flop.

Busy bee
This weekend I haven't been able to play much. Mostly because I was busy writing my paper. Besides that I have a job application next wednesday at a retailshop in sports. They do a lot online and it's really something for me. So I am also busy preparing for the appointment. Really looking forward to it, but with these things you never know..

Yesterday I also managed to complete a 10km run again (~6.3 miles). Feels good, although I feel my legs with every move I make I clocked about 42:30 minutes, so I really have to work on it again, but at least we did 10 again. Slept like a baby last night

With poker I don't get anything going at the moment. It feels like I just run a little cold with the hands, boards and setups and obv <EV, but on the other hand I don't play the best I can. Combine it and you just can't win a session.

For the time being I moved down to 25z, until I win some sessions again. I only played 4k hands so far this month, but sometimes you just know it's better to take it easy.

This week will be a busy one, have the application on Wednesday. Probably preparing in the evenings and after Wednesday I have to work also on Friday (which I never do). Also work on my paper.. yeah busy week. At least we've got some festivals to look out to, like:
  • Summer festival August 27 w Undercatt, Maceo Plex and Ben Clock
  • Summer festival September 9+10 w Mano Le Tough, Konstantin Sibold & Max Cooper
  • And I also got myself a ticket for the upcoming Diynamic event in September w Solomun, Adriatique and Kollektiv Turmstrasse

Let's finish w some hands and the promiss that next update will be more about poker

Agree with decisions in the hands, looks wp. Guess only debatble one is AA on 764s vs a minraise, but I'd prob get it in as well after betting flop that big. GL at 25, hopefully see you soon again at 50!

Yeah agree, obv hating life vs a minraise but I think in general it's not really bad to stick it in despite having nutflushblocker. They do too much random stuff

Bangers..
So I just played some 25z during daytime and managed to win a couple of stacks. I moved back to 50z tonight and ended in the green either. Not really much going on except for that weird regfish with his weird stacksizing doing what I see him do so often

Down under
Unfortunately I didn’t get the job I applied for last week, but there’s always something else to do. At the moment I’m thinking about travelling through Australia for a few weeks. This idea came up a few weeks ago and now I’ve figured what the hell, why not. I haven’t been on trips like these, except for a couple of weeks in Vegas and a holiday at Bali, Indonesia. But my girlfriend went on a world trip about seven years ago, a month after we’ve met (lol). She went to Australia, HongKong and South America in 3 months if I remember correct and she really has some nice stories.

I already talked with my girlfriend about my idea, but here being a teacher at kindergarten means she can’t take holidays during the year, except for the standard (12!) weeks that are already planned as holidays for the kids. One of those weeks is at the end of February and this seems like an ideal option to come join me (and probably go home together). She’s already been to Australia and besides that this flight is a bit to long for only a week. So I might end up in Asia where I will meet her. So I’m gonna visit Australia on my own. Probably gonna go for 4/5 weeks cross the east coast J Anyway, this plan is still not yet definite but I am pretty excited the more I think about it.

So back to normal life: it’s finally sunny here and I’m really enjoying this. However I still got to work until Thursday, I might go for a small trip on a boat with some friends next Friday. And Saturday we’re going to a summer festival, so hopefully the weather stays this way.

I’ve been busy writing my paper, but most of it I’ve done during work, hah. So I have played a feeew hands the last couple of days and I managed to get some green results lately. Happy about it, because now I might have to save some dollars for the trip. We are also moving to our new house in two months so I could really use the winnings.

I’m not sure but it feels like there’s some extra recreationals in the pool lately, might have something to do with the summer holiday. I hope this continues for the next weeks, but on the other hand I doubt I will play many sessions. I’m not even close to getting Gold Star this month lol.

A few hands I’ve marked during the last sessions:

Vs reg: Not sure what he's doing, but I am not sure about my turnsizing

I can't agree more. I talked some more about it, which in my case means it does get real.

If this trip is happening, I'm definitely going to Brisbane. For what it's worth I think I start in Brisbane according to the rest I wanna see.
Looking forward to party there, so the deal is on

Getting on the train
Today I feel like I got hit by a train, but what can you expect after a sick day of party-ing I went to a summer festival yesterday and had a blast. The weather was awesome, the stages were pretty cool and the performers I've seen did a good job. I've seen Bob Moses (live) which is pretty relaxed, followed with Agents of Time and half an hour of Adam Beyer. Because we had to finish the day with 2.5hours Maceo Plex. We were a bit early so we could really stand at the front which was awesome. His set.. it was like getting on the Maceo train at 20.30h before getting off at 23.00h. Sometimes everything matches in sets, so I couldn't do anything than enjoy the full 2.5 hours

Today probably a bit relaxing and getting my head back together

Unfortunately I don't get things going w poker, so I'm back at BE for the month. Probably not gonna happen much with this for August, but at least I cashed a bit of my starscoins. Probably gonna set it apart for the Aussie trip

Next Tuesday I will talk about it w my manager to find out if it is possible to get out for 1.5 month or so, but if not I might make some other decisions.. Will get back to that when we know more

For now this sick banger

August wrap-up
As I already predicted August wouldn't be a month in which I put in a lot of hours. If I look back, this is probably the worst month according to volume. However: it was a winning month

After last weekend I haven't put in a single hand which is fine because I was very busy. I didn't get the job I told about a few weeks ago, but in the meantime I applied for another one. It's a heavy weight job, so I'll probably need my bluffing skills. But what job would fit better than being a marketing manager at a Festival Event Bureau? I really hope they give me the slightest chance, but otherwise it was fun writing a letter on a festival ticket template

I really have to get back to study the coming days, so I probably won't play much in September either. I had my last meeting with my mentor and he suggested a couple of things I might do. This will take some time, but we have really to graduate on this

For running I did an ok job, not really good but at least I got in 51km (~31 miles). I could do better, but I started to play tennis this month and really enjoy this. Tomorrow I'm going to play again and this might affect my running a tiny bit. We'll see.

This weekend no party's, just recover so I will be fit for next week's 2day event in the woods. Really looking forward to see Mano le Tough and Max Cooper again. It will be fun.

I haven't played any interesting hands since my last update, so I won't post some. But ofcourse I can't get away by posting this funny 8k hands graph of a month

Finish it with one of the best tracks Maceo played last weekend

Raveday 1 & Raveday 2 >>> Poker
Gonna go into the woods today for a 2day rave event. Really gonna enjoy it, because the weather is amazing and I looked forward to this for so long!

I haven't done a lot of running nor grinding this week, but at least I've been on the court for like 10 hours last week. Started playing tennis and already a little addicted!

Nothing to meantion, but: TONIGHT WE'VE GOT MANO (even tho this one is Tale of Us's )

What can I say? Day one in the books w just the festival as highlight. It was an awesome day with a lot sun, but not anyone particular played a perfect set. Mano was really nice, but he kept it a little peaceful.

He played this one from start until the end without any edits :

And this was probably the best track of the day:

A little restless after a short night and some new experiences, but the sun is shining and we're probably heading back early

Closing the season
Another festival weekend over, probably the best weekend so far and also the last outdoor event for 2016. Overall day two was a little better, especially the music. Max Cooper closed the stage where I was and I was glad I was there. Really good job by him and for me the best set of the event!

I went for a run yesterday, but further than that I was pretty tired.

I feel like I'm a bit less interested in poker lately which results in low volume and not much to share. Also running is a bit disappointing, but that's the result of me playing tennis

Will update when I've done some hands again, cheers for now.
