Hey Guys,

I've been thinking of starting a thread in Poker Goals and Challenges for a while now so here it is. I'm an Aussie 6 table reg who's been playing NLH fullring for the last 18 months. I deposited in feb 2012 after toying around with sit and go's for a few years prior. I started out at NL10 then lost and lost my way back down to NL2. 18 months later I'm playing NL 25 (just reached) with a 50 buy-in bankroll and I'm now back to even over this time (my games coming together). My challenge like all Aussie online players presently is our newly elected government who are looking to ban the game we love. My other challenge aside from what we normally face as we make our way through the stakes is how to best manage a $1300 bankroll when we may lose access to internet poker. My goal is, was, is?? to be making living playing poker inside of 2 years. I'm used to playing very deep BRM and wondering what the hell to do now. Like many I carry debt, have family I don't want to move away from and don't have a lot of free spending money that I can throw at the game and I like to make a clear distinction between bankroll and life money. I'd love to hear other people's stories (American and Aus) about what adjustments you've made (live poker etc) or anything that anyone else has to say on the matter. I'll be trying to post progress every other day. Over the last couple of days I've been trying to put together a plan b (poker, always poker) but with a small bankroll I'm limited to home games, pub circuit and short buyin tourney's at the treasury casino in town. Until things go further south I'm just looking to cut myself out a better roll. Good luck to all you guys and fingers crossed the government make the necessary distinction between a skill game and online slots. Lets see how we go...
