Thought it might be good to share what poker players as individuals are doing now and b4 series to prep for a good performance at WSOP 2017.

Topics ranging from physical fitness, bankroll management, game selection, handling Vegas heat, housing, eating, partying (or lack thereof), leak plugging, coaching, analysis, new games added, or ____other____. If you have any helpful Vegas tips, you could include them here also.

No coaching ads, please. Also trying to provide an environment of encouragement, so let's keep the snarkiness to a minimum, thx!

This will be my 2nd series. Last year I had just moved to Vegas and literally just dipped my toe in the water for some sattys and dailies at the WSOP; I also played a few mix-game events at Binions. This year I plan to play 2+ bracelet events as well as a few select non-series events.

What am I doing to prep? I'm working on physical fitness, maintaining focus in late-day/late-tournament situations, and have added some new games to the mix. I also plan to simulate the 3-day bracelet grind with some NLH dailies and other events (like Venetian deepstacks or similar) during the leadup months. I'll be taking some time for individual analysis and practice prior to the series, but I don't know how much time I'll have to devote to this during the series. I live in Vegas, so I'll be here for the whole thing, but I'll be setting aside several blocks of days for R&R.

My game selection will be different than last year also. I think I wasted too much time last year in the dailies which were way more turbo than I realized, and you had to run unbelievably deep (say, top 15 of 900+) to make any $$.... I will probably stay away from the 'Mega-' style events, and focus on STT's to build up lammers for 3-day bracelet events with better structures.

If anyone else would like to share what they're doing to prep for a great WSOP...........

I was always a bit wary/skeptical of those single table sats where you get lammers..... is collusion a problem ? Any thoughts on how profitable they are ?

All I can say is I played 2, made it to 4th in one, got HU in the other for all the marbles. QJ<Q9 even stacks all in. Someone asked me later if I had considered a chop and I hadn't. Any1 know if you can chop those 2-ways?
