Why are you betting so big otf in the 88 hand? OTR I think it's a good idea to go bigger with your combo and smaller without the 8h

In the 77 hand are you using a simplification of range checking? 77 should be a high frequence cbwt on that texture, you can check AA/KK/88/A8 to protect your x range. His call ott is atrocious lol

Fold flop with 45s, those pot sizes cbets from whales are often overplayed TP without many bluffs in there, it's not likely that he will x back turn enough for you to have a,profitable oop float and your equity isn't very good.

I haven't played fr on Stars since BF but isn't the turn bet bad here? I don't like the sizing either. Considering we're raising UTG, it feels like this is a huge overplay of our hand since there's no way we can get 3 streets and picking off bluffs otr as the UTG raiser in fr doesn't seem prudent ime. If we think he's going to float otf, we should be x'ing ott.

If our sizing otf is small enough, this is a,slam dunk overbet with our hand, with the sizing he used otf it's better to go with the sizing he used ott. If villain is folding everything but 99+, then our bluffs are destroying him. Now if you don't valuebet 88, you will end up overbluffing vs 7x, so you will have to give up more bluffs and let villain realize more equity.

The only situation where doing what you're saying is good is if villain is overfolding turn pretty hard, but it would be underestimating him too much. It can never be wrong to go thin if you're bluffing enough, villain will end up making up some mistakes from time to time and will give you some EV. Now if you try to soul read him every time you will open yourself to get owned if you're not confident enough with your read.

How are our bluffs destroying him? Whats utg’s (fullring) optimal opening range? Shouldnt it be ridiculously tight? And if so, what do you think is CO’s flatting range?

Should he have a flatting range in the first place? If he has one I think we should make the assumption that it's looser than it should be and that he is most likely making a pre-flop mistake.

And my bad, I considered UTG from a 6-max table, maybe in a FR table it's an overplay because we won't have enough bluffs OTT. With that flop cbet sizing that's possible.

Rapidesh, I do appreciate your reply but I'm talking about how turn sets up river play. I think by betting 88 ott, we're narrowing (esp for $12) his range enough that we're going to make big mistakes otr.

Some hands can go for thin value ott and x/f river, villain will x back a lot of 7x/small pp/A high draws that we beat. You gotta forget about that pot controlling mentality, a lot of players think that a valuebet is "too thin" so they opt to check-call with hands that are easy valuebets. The only fear you should have when valuebetting this would be to not be bluffing enough, then you're making villains folds do better vs your strategy.

We're discussing strat, if you think I'm wrong, try to prove it by using logic to explain what I said isn't right rather than saying that since I don't win much, everything I say is wrong.

Cant fault the logic. You always write paragraphs worth of strat and theory with this undertone of being 100% right yet you can not win at any stake you play.

Either you are incapable of applying your own expert theory or close to everything you say is wrong.

Maybe not a great hand to x/c river with but he's definitely capable of bluffing with his bricked draws

Sleep schedule is wrecked yet again. Going to try and wake up early tommorow and survive on 5ish hours sleep for the day, go to bed at midnight and wake up at 8am on Wednesday fresh. Need to get sleep schedule back on track for a productive start to November.

Calling it a month. Didn't play today, might play a bit tomorrow but I'll just call it here. Another meh month. Could be worse, could be a lot better.

Side hustle wasn't too great this month either, Should've made at least £300-£500 more. Still shooting for £8,000 total profit by the end of the year. Going to squeeze these promos hard to try and make sure I get there.

Received this e-mail from Ladbrokes this month which didn't put me in a cheery mood. ~£1.5k of my profit from matched betting came from Ladbrokes.

Really going to try and listen to less music in November. Listening to music for 6+ hours a day cannot be good for my ears or my productivity. Want to get back to grinding in silence as well. Grinding through in silence definitely yields the highest EV.

I'll write up a list of my goals for November/December tomorrow when I'm less tired.

Will 100% have a post put up on my wordpress blog with a recap of the last three months.

Spoiler:
Throwback to my last Halloween party, 2015.

Feel free to post your costumes from past and present ITT. The one I like the most gets $20 shipped on stars!

Made a list of the daily goals for November:

Minimum of 6 hours of poker work
No time spent reading about Brexit/politics
1 Hour on the German grind
Maximum of 1 hour of music
Complete grooming routine and take supplements

Those might not seem too difficult, but keeping that up everyday throughout the month will definitely be a bit of a challenge.

Hope you all crush November!

Wouldn't rule out a day or two where I don't play poker and just grind pio a lot, but because I'm doing a year sober which ends in mid December it makes sense to put the shifts in now.
