mate you only get in trouble 3 betting that hand, mostly AK will call you and even when you hit tp you can lose so much, its better to 3bet it vs certain ppl you have history with so you know that they will call you light and you are ahead.

I also prefer flatting pre, not good enough vs utg for value and too good to bluff with.

Short Term Goals Work

Goal 1 - Play 60 hours in April - Played 28.1 hours which is 46.83% of target. Month is 46.67% old so 6 MINS AHEAD!! WP WP WP!! Missed training again this morning as desire to catch up was high! Don't like doing this though as will affect whole life!!

Goal 4 - Study Janda - Done and on next chapter (really moving on with this now).

Goal 5 - Post weekly review to group - Done and posted.

Goal 6 - Watch at least 10 mins of poker video and use as part of warm up (poker days only) - Whoops!! Cannot believe I forgot to do this - I was reading amigos doing a GTO hand analysis and went straight to the tables!!

-----------------------

5 x
1 x

Really happy getting back on track with hours!! Bit dumb missing video out but at least I warmed up by reading hand analysis!

Session

Losses mostly due to this hand here....

PokerStars - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): $65.59
UTG: $74.67
CO: $46.98 (VPIP: 41.18, PFR: 17.65, 3Bet Preflop: 10.00, Hands: 17)
BTN: $76.39 (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 33.33, 3Bet Preflop: 11.11, Hands: 18)
SB: $57.49 (VPIP: 52.94, PFR: 29.41, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 18)

SB posts SB $0.25, Hero posts BB $0.50

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.75) Hero has K K

UTG raises to $1.50, fold, fold, SB calls $1.25, Hero raises to $6.50, UTG calls $5.00, fold

Flop: ($14.50, 2 players) J 5 K
Hero bets $7.25, UTG calls $7.25

Turn: ($29.00, 2 players) 3
Hero checks, UTG bets $18.00, Hero raises to $51.84 and is all-in, UTG calls $33.84

River: ($132.68, 2 players) 6

Hero shows K K (Three of a Kind, Kings) (Pre 67%, Flop 74%, Turn 23%)
UTG shows A 4 (Flush, Ace High) (Pre 33%, Flop 26%, Turn 77%)
UTG wins $130.18

Think I miss-played the turn anyway here but money going in hand-for-hand. I probably should just keep betting versus his range. He is multi tabling reg and although SB is a fish I think his play is bad on the whole. Should squeeze bigger?

Still spilling $ at NL50, got lots of hard work lined up though, it will come - hope staker stays patient!!!

!
You're probably a better player than I am but if I can give my opinion here it is :
- squeeze size is good (5x)
- you should bet bigger OTF to make him pay for FD, eventually SD, Jx, Kx, 2 pairs, etc...
- turn should be a bet/fold, but it is easier to say than to do...
- take notes on him like "flatcalls oop w/ A4s vs squeeze" (this guy is really bad imo !!) + "60% psb OTT w/ nut Flush"

GL and be confident into your skills !

Hi,

SQ size is fine imo. Make it bigger on the flop (punish AQ, value AK..) and keep betting.

Questionable call from UTG but fish + position. Normally, his range is very narrow with few FD's s nothing you can do about it. Will get it in every time

PS: if you agree you can add me to your skype group :-) (Vincent)

It's actually not too good to bluff with. Calling is very marginal vs such a low PFR. If villain opened more, I could see why AQo would be too good to bluff.

Pre is is fine.
Flop sizing is good. Not much reason to make it bigger in 3bet pot. He has more made hands than drawing hands.
Im always going for bet/bet/ship in this spot.
Dont know why you check turn? Do you expect him to float you on the flop?
I really dont like your checkraise on the turn. You are absolutely unbalanced in this spot.

Cbet is fine, size is fine.
Again, would make it bigger on the T. 3/4 or PB will do it
Give up on the R.

Great day! Highly productive.

Session

Card dead last night during session but had some fun hands this morning. Trying to get rid of my nit habit without spewing. Its tough!

Hand Of the Day

PokerStars - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (SB): $50.46
BB: $50.00 (VPIP: 17.10, PFR: 14.51, 3Bet Preflop: 6.40, Hands: 518) Fold BB v SB open = 60%, 3bet BB v SB 30%,Fold v cbet = 50% (3/6), Raise flop cbet = 17% (1/6), AF by street = 2/3/2.
UTG: $50.00 (VPIP: 25.00, PFR: 18.75, 3Bet Preflop: 3.13, Hands: 252)
CO: $52.98 (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 33.33, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 14)
BTN: $29.02 (VPIP: 66.67, PFR: 8.33, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 12)

Hero posts SB $0.25, BB posts BB $0.50

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.75) Hero has A K

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1.00

Flop: ($3.00, 2 players) 3 K T
Hero bets $2.14, BB raises to $6.50, Hero calls $4.36
In these positions his range is wide so mandatory call.

Turn: ($16.00, 2 players) J
Hero checks, BB bets $10.00, Hero calls $10.00
Don't know what to think here tbh. Just seems FOS or some Kx value betting again. 33 is possible, K3s but I think all other two pairs 3b pre. J9 would XB I think. Q9 hit the nuts. Call again? Think he can still have Kx?

River: ($36.00, 2 players) A
Hero checks, BB bets $15.00....
Hmm, not sure I beat enough hands here but top two. Only beat spazz really so fold???

A 17/14 who raises on such a dry/unconnected flop + 2/3 psb on the turn is almost always value betting. He is not afraid of the King, so I definitely put him on 33 or TT. He is slowing down on the riv because he is afraid of the A-high straight any Queen would give you.

Another good day for the process. Group was very good today.

Session

Long card dead session (remember two tables) at start which was good test of patience and focus. Think I played well overall gradually cutting out more and more mistakes.

Hand Of the Day

PokerStars - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: $51.15 (VPIP: 27.41, PFR: 24.20, 3Bet Preflop: 12.10, Hands: 351)
Hero (SB): $67.98

Hero posts SB $0.25, BB posts BB $0.50

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.75) Hero has A J

Hero raises to $1.25, BB raises to $4.00, Hero calls $2.75

Flop: ($8.00, 2 players) J 5 3
BB bets $5.00, Hero calls $5.00

Turn: ($18.00, 2 players) 9
BB bets $12.50, Hero calls $12.50

Table just broke down. Villain seems decent reg so far quite aggressive.
Hand is played ok up to now?
Just want ideas of plans for the river.
1. If he jams clubs?
2. If he jams spades?
3. If he checks a blank?
4. If he bets a blank?
5. If he jams offsuit K?

Preflop : imo, with AJo oop vs a 3bet, it is either a fold or a 4bet, never a call.

1. club = fold
2. spade = fold
3. blank + check = check behind, you have some sort of sdv but you won't be ahead often
4. blank + bet = fold
5. fold

The fact you labeled him as quite aggressive and your HU i would think folding to #4 would not be right. He could easily be barreling off with a picked up draw on the turn.
