Weekly Progress Update 20.01.2014

Profit/loss for week = + $58.99

Graph for week

Comments:
Lolsamplesize.
Thought process is improving like I cannot believe. Just so many situations I am able to think through better than before. I think this is a result of constant work and practice. Talking poker is one of the major factors I think so Skype Groups are good for me.
Good week for volume too (20 hours) and have also studied alot (two videos/lots of HH discussion/3bet strategy/MGOP2).
Thanks to everyone who is helping me with HH's etc.
Keep this work load up and its all gonna be good, I know it!

Goal 1 - Play 65 hours in January - Played 44.4 hours which is 68.3% of target, month is 62.9% old, 3 hours 30 mins ahead!! This is good as got some videos to watch.

Goal 2 - Post weekly review to group -Done and posted Iron's review. Found it tough as was 4 tables of Rush poker which I never played before. He plays well!

Goal 3 - Post all marked hands to blog and Skype group - Done!

Goal 4 - Comment on all of friends' hands in Skype Group (unless day off) - Done!

Goal 5 - Get No Bulls**t Six Max Poker to level of unconscious competence - Probably 3 instances I looked in 3 sessions and they were probably close decisions either way.

Goal 6 - Read The Mental Game Of Poker 2 - Page 121 of 191 (63.4%). Learning about focus (attention and concentration). Although I am not often distracted by things like Skype/internet while playing I do certainly get distracted. I think there is much to learn here...

Hi. It is an ebook "No Bulls**t 6max Poker" from BestPokerCoaching.com. I have heard 50% bad reviews for it and 50% good reviews!

I just used it to try and get my preflop ranges back to something resembling decent. Now I have them ingrained I will start to adjust them slightly to exploit and also where I think they are incorrect. (The book is aimed at NL25 and lower players btw, really for beginners).

Watched an Alan Jackson cbetting video all through now. This is going to be my next topic that I work really hard on (if anyone has links/books/videos that specialise in flop cbetting I would love to hear from you please). The video was really helpful and I will probably watch it again! Lots of HH on cbetting coming in.....!

Quick question just looking for opinions please....

I have a very basic knowledge of both of these subjects but want to research them more deeply.

Which in your opinion should I study first (and why)?

A) Cbetting

or

B) 3 Betting

Thx for all help given!

Im going for cbetting because post flop is by far more important than pre flop unless you are just getting all in every hand or playing short.

The problem is that preflop mistakes are not usually as costly as post flop mistakes.

Thanks for the input amigos.

It seems it is pretty close!!!

I have done a little bit on cbetting and am going to do a little bit of work on 3 betting now. Then I hope to see whether its best to concentrate more on one than another. It does seem that they are so much interconnected I might be doing all things at the same time here!
