dont worry about your mistakes, it takes time to become a good player. Remember there are 4 stages to becomming a good player.

Level 1 — Unconscious Incompetence. You don’t even know what you don’t know. In other words, you’re blind to the ways that you lack
skill ic ition, [insert 2 other conchog easier. Just think how much easier decisions in poker got when you understand the importanundun,
which isn’t necessarily good or bad. For some players ignorance is bliss.
Level 2 — Conscious Incompetence. Now you’ve become conscious of what you don’t know. But that doesn’t make you skilled, it just
means you know what skills you need to improve. Becoming conscious happens from either your own insight or insight that is shared with
you by someone else.
Level 3 — Conscious Competence. If you’ve reached this level, it means you’ve done some work and/or have had enough repetition to
gain some skill. The only catch is that in order to be skilled, you need to think about what you’ve learned … otherwise, you return to being
incompetent.
Level 4 — Unconscious Competence. At this level, you’ve learned something so well that it is now totally automatic and requires no
thinking. Unconscious Competence is the Holy Grail of learning, and by far the most important concept in this book.

Comments: Results wise this was a bad week. Play wise it was one of my best weeks ever! Had to move down to NL10 again (second failed NL25 shot) but I felt that I was doing well there and it was more to do with the run of cards I had right at the end than any massive failings on my part. I am quietly confident of getting back there soon enough and having a really good chance of beating it this next time.

I have done a lot of work on my ranges for preflop and then for my postflop actions depending on hand strength and board texture. I have for sure been playing my own two cards a lot more than I usually do. This is just while I get these ranges fixed to the level of unconscious competence. I feel they are good standard ranges/actions and they are based on the No Bulls**t 6max Poker book that I studied in November.

Needless to say, putting the stuff into hard practice has been interesting if a little challenging. It is quite different in some ways to how I played before. I am convinced that I am playing better and am playing a style that will help me improve more over the long term.

Goals
Goal 1 - Play 75 Hours Total In December.
Played 48.6 hours (64.8% of target). This is good. Week off work now so when not doing family stuff (means playing with kids toys) I will be playing/studying.

Goal 2 - Post EVERY SINGLE marked hand in the month (use 2+2, BPC, anywhere!!).
Posted 8 hands of mine. That was all the marked ones until I played last two days. I have got loads to post now....

Goal 3 - Comment on lots of hands on the forums - aim for 100 in this month!
Commented in 10 threads. Chances of completing this target are not looking good - get to work!

Goal 4 - Make a "To Do" List for each and every day that you will be active in poker, make it a habit and post it in here.
Done every day except for today. I think I missed it today because I have finished work and so was out of routine. The idea here is to make doing this schedule such a habit that I don't even have to think about it - so I failed so far. Takes time this stuff though imo. So far so good - only missed one day!

Goal 5 - Read my long term goals list and my blueprint to achieve them each and every day.
As above - failed today only, bit weird!

Goal 6 - Write up a review of these goals each Monday.

I am about to set up a Skype work group for players who are serious about improving. I really want to keep this to 6max cash game players (I am already in some mixed groups) and to players who have big ambition.

PM me if you are interested in joining (and then I can interview you!!). Part of the interview will be commenting on hands like these below so if you fancy putting that as part of your PM then I guess you are half way there already!

If you want to join a group where you will learn about success and motivation etc then you will do well to try and get in...

Just to let you guys know I have had a couple of people show an interest in joining the Skype group.

Will take a couple/few more but it is definitely only for people who are willing to put the effort in to get the results out. We're going big so only apply if that is your aim too. PM me if interested - I will give it a few more days as I appreciate people are having a break at the moment.

Mini update....

I am sure I am nowhere near my goals for this month! To be honest I don't even know what day it is due to Christmas and not being at work etc!!!

I have played a few hours and I also tried to make videos for the new Skype group to review but I think old age has let me down in the technology department - will make one today though - I got Camtasia 8 sorted and one of the guys has given us presets for quality so should be good to go.

Main reason for being behind on goals is that I have spent hours sorting this Skype group out (this makes it fine because remaining flexible is important in achieving progress and I believe these Skype groups to be MASSIVE in progressing - listening to higher stakes players makes me believe so anyway). Chatted to lots of players about joining which surprised me as it is Christmas break and am amazed at the amount of people who have applied. Anyone who I deemed up to it has either got in (we trying to keep it eight) or is on the waiting list for when lazy buggers get evicted!! (Anyone still wants to go on wait list let me know [Pita - not sure if serious!]).

It seems tomorrow is Monday so will update re goals then.

I bet you are all making New Year Resolutions to do great things this year!? I think it is somewhere in the region of 99.2% of all New Year's resolutions do not achieve fruition!! The time for change is NOW, not on some special day. Good luck anyway everybody!!!

Comments: Back at NL10 and the play is so bad there! I think I am running above EV but in fact am running terrible (just not in AI situations I guess). Hopefully can now get back to some volume (hours) as the group is set up and Christmas is over. No update re staking but not gonna push as it is holiday time. Cannot wait to get back at NL25 for another attempt so need to buckle down at NL10. The "No Bulls**t 6max Poker" book has helped me tonnes just lately, I needed to sort out the back end of my inchworm

Yh I should have, I called the turn but was already thinking "what is my plan for different rivers". I folded the river on a blank when he shoved the rest in (think about 80% psb) but I am quite sure that I should have called now, especially versus this player.

I have those stats in the pop up.

Tbh.. I dont Mone a river fold.(depends on his stats ofc) ..
