I joined BPC a while back, now I've joined CFP and I'm ready to master HU. Excited to be be apart of CFP, Inspired by previous members and shooting for the same goals.

A little about me: I have the coolest 5yo boy in the world, he's the best thing I've ever done! I'm into life and enjoying it to the maximum. I work FT, I have locs, personality is chilled, I live in the best suburb in Sydney (IMO), I get stoked from snowboarding, music, tattoo collecting, beer chills and hanging with family/friends.

Poker history has been up and down, began playing in 2009. Disappeared from poker in 2012 and returned to poker at the beginning of this year (2015). The time is right for me to add crushing poker to my list!

So finally finished the newbie process and newbie starter course. finally! Had to purchase a few pieces of software along the way ie: camtasia/PT4/Hive and Chico hand converters.

So I've begun the grind, should mention I'm new to HU, I thought there were some similarities between the HU starter course and NoBS6max. So getting use to the game and software ATM. for some reason PT4 was difficult to setup but I have it sussed now. I can't configure the hand converter to planetwin365 ATM, hard to find where planetwin stores the HH's on my hard drive. Also need to get UhlvarEquity sussed as it doesn't seem to have the opening file neede as it has on the setup video.

Been getting some action, I've been quitting strictly when the rules apply. Alot of regs will try for action on pokerstars. Best action so far has been on party. Been marking regs, making charts and rewatching videos in the downtime.

Day two, I had a 5hr session this morning with two breaks. Felt like I played ok but I hit my stop loss. Chalked up a few "coolers" which put me in the negative. On the positive I also got the stacks of a few fish (not full stacks though). I was in a match with a fish which was going well but lost an allin on another table which brought me to my stop loss so I had to quit the fish
Did some equity calculations and looking at hands in the forum in the meantime. The sites I get the most action on I can't track with PT4 which is unfortunate. I'm at work atm, was keen to have a session tonight after work but will wait until I hear from a coach....I'm keen as mustard though

after coaching on the weekend as a start I need to keep working on my standard lines and stop playing too many tables so I can avoid missclicks

Attempting to put in the volume but the action is a little dry today Hanging around on tables, doing equity calcs, quizes etc.........

After coaching on Sunday I'm feeling good and ready to grind..main goal for this week is volume (hrs).
After my 18shift yesterday I had 3hrs until my 10hr shift today..... I played poker for 2hrs and slept 1hr. Yes I'm groggy ATM.
The grind is on for the rest of the week!

It's been about a month since I joined CFP so here's an update as I'm traveling overseas for the next 9 days.

Down quite a bit and dropped stakes as a result. I've hit stop loss several times. Mostly in the first week. A BIG mistake was playing too many tables in the beginning while learning the system at the same time. I was miss clicking a lot and playing incorrect lines. I played 4nl for about 2 weeks to get my lines right. After 3 coaching sessions I believe I know my lines well and the miss clicks are disappearing, although my results are still ****ty.
Getting in volume has also been an issue, although I've been sacrificing a lot of sleep to get hours in (for those who don't know I work fulltime and also a single parent) but I'm getting better at sorting out a schedule. I've also done a heap of study (videos/quizzes etc.) but I haven't noted the hours spent there. Also when you drop limits the less rooms are available to play in which can hurt action sometimes.
All in all I do feel confident with my game right now (considering I'm a starter student) and although I've had a bad start I believe I can turn things around next month
I haven't accounted for rakeback .....

I'm F###ing stoked! My hand converters are now all working! I can finally track ALL my play. Blog update will look a bit better with some pretty/ugly graphs.
Feeling pretty good about my play so far this month, I've got a lot of grinding to do though. Been watching a lot of videos and keen to put in the work.

I've gotta admit things are running tough ATM. I've hit stoploss again today, I'm down about half my starting bankroll since joining CFP, feels like the journey is getting tougher before it even begins? Worst thing is I think I've played at my best this week, trying super hard to put in the hours but hitting stoploss continually isn't helping much at all. I'll be on the grind again tomorrow, things really need to turn around so I hope it does.

I think lack of hours hurts my winrate atm.....I do think I've got the starter strategy down now though and I think I'll do well in October.

Hit stoploss again today I had a quick look over some filters, some missclicks and concentration errors but nothing major and my villain selection was good. I will look over today's hands later on tonight after I put my little man to sleep, see If I can see some big errors.

ok, after a day of setting up my CPU I grinded last night and today and hit stop loss again today checked my filters and everything was standard and villain selection was fine? I'm not one to tilt and I have alot of patience but I must admit my CFP results are starting to become frustrating.
