Up 6 buyins at PLO60 at first session. A couple more tough regs and a bit more aggressive but generally the same as PLO30. Breaking for an hour and then back on it.

Up 24 buyins at PLO60 today, lets crack them bottles!!

Played very focused and my hand held up in most big pots which lead to this result. Im very pleased that all work Ive put in the recent months is really showing now. Im not settling though, Im going to continue having an proffesional approach and keep improving. Although going trough PLO15 to 60 has gone way quicker then I could imagine, Im kinda OK with the pace and hopefully I wont stop climbing. Currently sitting at $3225 after starting with only $200 ~10 days ago. So that equals 54 buyins at PLO60. The next level is actually PLO150, not PLO120 so I need to grind a bit more buyins for the shot then earlier. So basically I need to have 75 buyins for PLO60 and then Im ready for the 10buyin shot at PLO150, which Im very much looking forward to.

Tomorrow is a day off, which includes fotball, party and alot of beer. Back on the grind on sunday.

Hey dude and thanks . Yea I think Ive started this thread the 6th december so atm its 10 days. I think Ive played 16-17k during this period, not entirely sure because Im playing both on my laptop and fixed comp, and Im not home very often so getting an exact overview is difficult sometimes. Posted graph friday night and havent been playing since then so its exakt up to that date.

Played two sessions today and experienced first losing day since thread start. Down 8 buyins at PLO60 and Im happy with how it went down. Lost the big pots getting it in quite standard and just didnt work out in the end, so not much to do about it.

So Im currently residing on 46.5 buyins at PLO60 which is 2790$. Im considering doing something different for this week. Only playing PLO15/30 during the week and for friday/saturday I step it up to PLO60 just for the huge increase of value on these days. I could allow myself do the occasional sweep of PLO60 tables and bumhunt also, Im not entirely sure yet if Im going to follow trough with this idea. I will problably decide tomorrow and make a post about it. Reason is Im not very comfortable losing 8 buyins at PLO60 a day by some odd reason. I guess Im a little bit attached to it and its bigger numbers then Im used to. Again, Im not sure why I feel bad about it because my mind says I shouldnt but I feel different about it. Other then that I got no concerns about profiting at PLO60, theres not much competition tbh. Sounds a bit messy, if you got any advice, just reply here and help me out .

Posting tomorrow with an update for the coming week.

After giving it some thought, Im going to hold the breaks a bit on the climbing and stick to PLO15/30 until new year. By doing so, my expected profit might be lower but this gives me the oppurtunity to work a bit more on my game, and play at a stake I feel comfortable losing at since losing is unavoidable.

So its exactly 14 days from today to 31 December where I will be playing soloely PLO15/30 and hopefully build my roll/confidence enough to be prepared for PLO60 at the start of 2013. I had a successfull shot and Im very happy with that, and Im also happy that Im realistic and smart enough to recognize that Im not mentally prepared for sticking to that level.

By doing this I will be getting:

                    Confidence building
I can work at my game and spot as many leaks as possible at a stake Im comfortable with. I think success in any area is 20% technical and 80% pshycological, so confidence is key.

                    Build my roll
I will be playing a stake that is problably the most profitable at the network in terms of bb/100.

                    Time to plan ahead
As 2013 is around the corner, I want to set up big goals for the year and it shouldnt be done in a heartbeat. So alot of time will go into planning and trying to puzzle my goals and dreams together.

So to keep you guys entertained Im doing a challenge where I will attempt winning 50 buyins at PLO30 before this year ends. I got 14 days to complete it and hopefully it wont take me that long . So I will post graphs of both my overall progress and the challenge during this time.

Sounds like a smart plan, it seems tempting to just rush right up the limits but opponents will become better and better and you might be taken by surprise. Just work out the last wrinkles and work on your mental part of the game and I'm sure you'll hit PLO60 hard in 2013.

I am personally hoping to start playing PLO10 come 2013.

Yea I think Im more concerned about variance at a limit Im not comfortable losing at then tougher regs. I think I have an edge vs most regs at PLO60 aswell.

Thanks for your support . Hope you reach your goals dude.

First day of the mini challenge ended up +4 buyins, which puts me 4/50 in total. Could have been way more but ran terrible first two sessions and ended up quite pleased booking a win for the day.

Im also implementing alot of study time into my schedules starting tomorrow. I got alot of material to go trough and study so hopefully this will take my game to the next level.

Just finished first session for the day and dropped 6 buyins. Played pretty good but ran like **** in 90% of the pots so couldnt do much about the result. Happy with quitting when feeling a little tilty. Graph this far for the challenge:

Breaking even this far. Currently getting owned in so many standard spots but thats the name of the game I guess, just need to get used to it. Might have been stupid of me setting a "win x buyin goal" sinse estimating progress in terms of buyins isnt a true reflection of my real progress. Might just erase that mini challenge and instead focusing on creating goals and dreams for 2013 for the remainder of the year. What do you guys think?

Didnt play much at all today. Didnt plan to either so thats fine. Just did one session and won 9 buyins at PLO30 and played very, very well so Im happy. Currently not doing schedules for the days ahead due to christmas and random events etcetc. so it wont be as much poker as before but still alot.

Currently working on some goals for 2013 outside poker as training and fotball and hopefully Ill get a cool visionboard to use as background on my comps. As for poker goals I got some ideas brewing, and hopefully they will be compelling enough to drag myself trough the tough times ahead.

Yea I rather treat poker as a way to have fun and be good at something then forcing myself to grind just because I need the money. I think If Im having fun with PLO, I will play alot and I will try to learn as much as possible anyway. So bottom lime is that I should always have fun with poker.

A visionboard is a frame of dreams/goals you have. Lets say you want success in poker, you might put a picture of your rolemodel in it. Lets say you want alot of money, you put a dollar picture in it. Lets say you want a healthy body, a new girlfriend, a new job or whatever, you put that picture into the frame. So this will lead to you having a big picture containing all your goals and dreams and place it somewhere you see it on a daily basis. Personally I use it on my computers so I will see it alot. The idea is to review and feel it everyday. Its like when you were young and you really wanted something but didnt know how to get it. You were excited when you woke up and couldnt stop thinking about it. This will reinforce this feeling and just reminding yourself why you do what you do and what you should work hard for. If motivated, anyone can do anything imo.

Just finished a very long session. Couldnt get myself to leave when all those clowns were playing so I forced myself to stay as long as possible. Ran terrible and could have been a huge winning night but ended up winning anyways so doesnt matter that much. Im very happy with how I played and handled some suckouts, so thats something I will carry with me from this session.

Sinse I initiated that "challenge", which I cancelled the same day, Im up 20 buyins at PLO30 and things are looking quite good atm. Feeling great and secure with my game, looking forward to playing all the time, feeling hungry basically. Very much looking forward to the end of 2013 and look back how the year went.

Posting some cool hands from todays sessions.
