Hi,

Its time again to make a PG&C thread and stick to it. Ive got some inspiration from several threads out there and hopefully you guys will find my thread interesting enough to follow and subscribe.

This thread will be a way for me to keep track of my goals as I think goal-setting is a huge part of any area, especially poker if you want to be successfull. I will post my goals for the year/months and my daily schedule will be posted here the night before I go to sleep. I will try average 10 hours of poker a day and find a good balance with all other areas in my life (fotball, friends, girlfriend etc). Here is the bankroll management I will follow:

PLO15 40 buyins $600 (grind 20 more and take a 10bi shot at PLO30)
PLO30 40 buyins $1200 (grind 20 more and take a 10bi shot at PLO60)
PLO60 50 buyins $3000 (grind 20 more and take a 10bi shot at PLO120)
PLO120 60 buyins $7200 (grind 20 more and take a 10bi shot at PLO240)
PLO240 80 buyins $19200

Im not setting a date to finalize this climb but this is how I will approach my bankroll management. Its not written in stone so It might change whenevers needed. I will play 95% of the volume on a swedish site so hence the weird stakes.

Schedule of December 7th

00:00-02:00 Poker

02:00-10:00 Sleep

10:00-11:00 Freetime

11:00-15:00 Poker

17:00-20:00 Poker

20:00-22:00 Freetime

22:00-00:00 Poker

My goal for december is to stick to my schedules, never stop asking questions, get a ton of hands played and analyze difficult situations.

Thats my introduction, will post very often with hands and rants about poker. Gl at the tables!

It's a standard misunderstanding explained in OP's previous PG&C thread (was there a need to found a new one while people are subscribed to the old one?!): the site is Svenska Spel where all games are in Swedish Kronas, 1 SEK ~ $0.15.

Schedules increase discipline but don't work perfectly for most people. It's hardly possible to put in 11 hours in a single day. The only case when it's viable is when you spot the biggest whales in the lobby willing to play as long as they're conscious. Playing according to a timetable when fish aren't there is senseless. That's of course less applicable to such a fish tank as Svenska Spel whose games are good enough all the time but still a good advice.

Hey dude and sry for the inconvience . I dont know but I felt like I drifted away from the old one and needed something similar but still different. Hopefully Ill stick to this one. Also the traffic is very good between 12:00 to 03:00 so the value is there.

Took shots at PLO30 at the late session and it was kinda dull. Didnt happen much and hoovered around breakeven for the whole session. Hopefully tomorrow I will start cashing them dollars!! Going for 10 hours tomorrow.

There's no RB but it's not needed because afaik rake is 2.5%, capped at 15 SEK ($2.2).

      Quote
      12-10-2012 , 06:41 AM
No, rakewise it isn't similar. The 5-10-max NL/PL rake is standard 5% capped at $3 ($1 for NL/PL2-10) there. The VIP program is almost worthless for nanostakes (e.g. for $200 monthly rake it returns at most 10.67%). Stars (or whatever major networks holding Danish licenses) are much better than DS rakewise, and I guess it compensates for the relative toughness of games. (I've investigated into this just out of curiosity , not because I'll ever live in Denmark.)

Had a great day with tons of poker (3.500 hands) and great results. Played PLO30 exclusively and finished up 15 buyins, and I think I played very well for the major part of the day.

So Im sitting at exactly 40 buyins ($1200) for PLO30 and Im looking to gain 20 more in order to start taking shots at PLO60. This is going a bit faster then I actually had in mind but as long as I play well and move down if the shot isnt working, I should be fine. Posting some hands that might be of interest.

Up 13 buyins today after getting on a heater at the last session for the day. More important is that I played very, very well imo. Currently sitting at $1680 after starting with $300 and Im only 7buyins from taking a 10 buyin shot at PLO60, which Ive heard is also very soft. So cool stuff is happening and Im very much looking forward to be playing more tomorrow.

Graphs is coming up on friday 100% guaranteed, until then some hands will have to suffice.

Annoying day. Was well up in the first sessions but got into tricky spots/coolers/outdrawn at the end and finished half a buyin up for the day. Still happy with qutting at the last session. Wasnt much fish online and I ran pretty bad so it was a good quit imo.

Still need those 7 buyins to be able to take a shot at PLO60, hopefully by tomorrow or the day after. Just gotta keep working hard and play good.

For those who might be interested, when poker is on the schedule, its not soloely playing. Its a few things:

                      Warmup
5 minutes before each session I try to medidate by counting my inhales to 20. After that I try to imagine myself winning and playing at a higher stake. Once that is done I move on to listening to my favorite music track at the time. All these things gets me into the state to be able to bring my A-game.

                      Session Review
I conclude the session by looking trough the sample Ive just played and decide whether I played good/bad and how much randomness affected the result. This give me some closure when I move on to other stuff more easily and not think about the last session.

                      Group Meetings
Im in a study group and we have fixed meetings every tuesday/sunday and some random days aswell, where we discuss PLO, sweat and just do stuff that enhances our PLO capacity.

                      Hand reviews
I usually mark troublespots when I play and I try to fix those asap sinse that spot is burning money for me. So whenever I feel like I need to go trough a hand I just do it whenever Im done with the session or before I start one.

These are a few things, Im sure there are some more that I dont even notice just because its in my routine uncounciously.
