Venetian/WSOP And Beyond! Venetian/WSOP And Beyond!

This might need to be moved to a different thread but here goes:

I just booked a flight to Vegas May 26th through June 6th. I'm going to put together a package and throw it on the marketplace next month but because I'm just returning to the forums I have to wait and I'm not allowed to post in marketplace yet. So I've been thinking... The last few years I have mainly played 2-5 nl cash, and 20-40 LHE or 30-60LHE in my state and out of state and around the WSOP time. I'm a crossover limit cash player and feel my LHE game is extremely strong and my NLHE game has matured a lot, I was thinking of shooting up 2-5 and 5-10 this year but don't know if I should plan to split my time or focus on just tournaments etc.

Most year's I end up playing a lot of cash because the games have sick action at the series and it allows me to be flexible with my schedule. This year I was thinking of trying to ship a DSE or making a deep run in a WSOP event. I'm trying to decide what type of schedule I should put myself on while I am down in Vegas. I'm torn this year, I want to play more tournaments because my work situation has improved and I can play the mid to higher stakes cash games in my state.

For the last two years I've ended up entering the nightly at Venetian and in 2010 got first once and cashed once out of about 6 tournaments.

Last year I played 5-6 of the WSOP daily 2 o'clock tournaments that mimic the Venetian DSE. Got coolered and ended up 3rd for 8k.

I'm planning on playing the Casino employee event for sure at the WSOP. Sun may 27th. Trying to decide if I should just play tournaments in Vegas or plan to play some cash game. Play more DSE or throw in some $1500's plus I have to try to sell about 1/2 my action to be comfortable. It's also making me uneasy the fact I have to wait another month to try to sell action in the marketplace. If I put myself in I'll probably leave out the WSOP $1500's. Thought's, suggestions? If you look at the OPR link I've done pretty well overall but just not a very high buyin but when I final table my 1st 2nd 3rd ratio is pretty good. I've heard the WSOP $1500's are really soft but the structure is lacking. Any positive input would be appreciated. Sorry for the rambling just 2+2ing to cure some insomnia and restlessness. -Andrew
