If you were going for a checkraise on the flop I can get behind the flop play, but this is a very standard bet for about half pot. It's important to bet the flop because your hand is more than strong enough to go 3 streets vs a fish on a good runout.
The river fold I just can't get behind at all. Sure he's gonna have a straight a decent amount of the time, but when you check that flop and bet turn your hand looks much weaker than it is. Diamonds missed, an overcard hit, and you're repping 1pr at best. You have top set and beat some of his value like KJ, KT, Kxhh,
