Finished up session yesterday pretty decent. didnt have time to post from computer last night.

Current BR:

Finally broke the $400 mark!
This challenge has been very difficult, not in the sense that I thought (results), but due to how exhausting and time consuming it has been. Im going to cut back on how much I play and update so I can enjoy real life more. I have a stressful full time career that i am at all day then have come home to play and stay up way to late the past month for, I am becoming very exhausted, stressed, moody, and have major lack of sleep 3-5hrs. I need to remember that I am not on any time constraint to finish this challenge and also that I am not a professional poker player that needs to put 100% focus into grinding. The challenge will continue but for me will be less constraining and more enjoyable. I will be sure to continue updating results here weekly or atleast a few times a week. Taking today off to relax after work.

Been a while since I have updated. Not much to update as I haven't played too much. This week my internet is going to be on and off so I am going to take this time to work offline ALOT on my cash game play as I am really disappointed in my results this far:

Number one known reason for losses is tilt issues. I get a few beats in short time and have lost mutiple other games for heaps right after. When it happens I think I am not tilting but then look back at hands later and know that is not a standard line and I spewed. Until I get this under control I am going to begin insta sitting out once I have beat and fell tilt.

I had played a decent amount of Don's last week and made leaderboard in 43rd place which was irratating since top 42 got $55 seat. I am up a little in these games but will wait to put graph together until there is a larger sample of at least 500+ games.

BR:
$342

Wont be much to update this week since I wont be playing much so next update will be on the other side of the weekend. GL to all Hero's this week.

3/18 Session Rating A, Internet was good to go today, they are replacing something in my building to assist in radio connectivity or something which is why it will be in and out all week. Played very solid all session, keeping tables to a minimum especially in cash game to focus and watch for any tilt spew. Only played a small number of cash hands but had some good results, was just above even in DONs and lastly was able to finish up with a 1st place in a $5 MTT. Really enjoying balancing playing and RL instead of burning myself out. Anyway here are some results:

3/19 Session Rating: B, Played pretty good today but was running into top of ranges in cash games and getting sucked out in the DONs. Happy with how I played and need to continue playing like this even when getting hit with variance. I am on leader board for SNGs but not going to make a run for a free seat since I haven't played much this week, so I will not put in a lot of volume tomorrow. Next week I will definitely shoot toward the top of leader board and get one of the $55 tickets along with bonus since internet is now good to go.

3/20 Session Rating: B-
Friday 3/20 I was planning just to stick to DONs and a few MTTs, started off running like Aids in Magic Johnson's sock drawer. I'm talking just getting Smashed, AA KK QQ AK losing every which direction (I was happy with how I handled it and continued to play very solid). Finally I decided to just play 1 larger buy-in MTT (LOL BRM) and move into the cash games for the rest of the night. Buying into the Larger buy-in was a bad idea as I busted just before late reg and just insta rebought because I was doing very well in cash then busted the second time in standard fashion. I played & ran very well in the cash games for a multiple hours and was able to recoup the losses.

3/21 Session Rating: A
Saturday 3/21 I was able to get in around 30 DONS and a few $5 MTTs, played extremely well and results definitely reflect that. Also was able to take a 2nd place in a $5MTT. Enough talk, lets see results for both days:

3/22 Session Rating: B+, Started playing cash and really wasn't feeling it so only played around 200 hands and switched to DONs & some MTTs which I really played good and seen some decent results that reflected. I would give my rating an A but I felt some confidence issues due to run bad, I dont think it effected my play but when I would get in for ex. AA vs 88 I would think to myself "here comes the 8 on the river" which is a horrible thought process and to make things worst the card would come, lol the force is strong with this one. I was also able to FT multiple $5 MTTs and bink one of them which had the highest number of entrants which was nice since early on I had talked myself into playing this $15 BI $25k GTD which I re-entered into twice and didn't cash. When I enter a tourney I always am willing to re-enter as long as the blinds are still friendly with beginning stack, I figure if you bought in to begin with then you should be willing to buy in again, kind of like a R&A tourney (I'd like to get some opinions or suggestions on this).

3/23 1st Session Rating: B, Was really card dead and getting some tough bad beats, one of which was 3 handed in $5MTT which I got in preflop for massive chip lead with QQ vs 33 and 3 snuck its backwards E looking ass in on the river. I handled everything very good and had zero tilt thoughts or feelings which is what my main focus is right now. I did go into auto pilot for a little bit hence the B rating. Results are boring:

3/23 2nd Session Rating: C, Played cash and just couldn't win when it went in and ahead. Had a little tilt toward end and snap quit, I do notice that I have more struggle in cash then in tournaments when it comes to "tilt", some reason it just affects me more mentally. Anyway I played pretty well and was 12.12/100 EV bb/100 so that's what I need to focus on instead of outcome. I will continue to put main focus into DONs and low MTTs until I have a larger roll.

This is an 8 person DoN so top 4 are paid. As you can see the villain to my left is also very short. Is it more profitable to just Check and fold on missed flops then look to get in vs other shorty on next hand or get it in pre as played?

3/26 1st Session Rating: A, Continued to play optimal in cash games and am handling beats & coolers very well now. Had a nice confidence booster when I was on the good side of variance, I got trip Kings with good kicker in vs a boat on the turn and was able to fill up over him on river . The next thing I want to work on is not looking at results, I often get curious to see how I am doing and how many hands I have played in HEM during session. The only thing that looking at results while playing is going to accomplish is providing an additional tilt trigger, for instance I check and am up $28 then check again after 30 mins and am down $2, this can easily trigger the mind to think that change is necessary and begin not playing optimal and all over short term variance. Next cash session I am going to force myself not to look at all until all games are closed.

3/26 2nd Session Rating: B, Out in 5th for $225 in the $3k GTD, played pretty bad after the last break. I made an unnecessary bluff on Ace high flop for like 35% of my stack, then folded 11bb in BB vs SB's open all in with 55, then the next hand on SB I decided to make a move at blinds and antes and open shove allin for 10bbs with Q7s, which was the end of the road. This was not a good time to play poorly but I am very exhausted which is reasoning for the few costly mistakes, all and all I am happy with my play and look forward to take advantage of the next opportunity.

Was coming up just short in every pot, made a few questionable plays that weren't extremely significant but they are there. No tilt issues that I can see, I did fail to not look at HEM while playing, after I got AK vs AA and lost a nice pot for a second time I just couldn't help but see were I was. Next time I do this while playing I will post on here that I did it and will ship $10 via WPN funds to the first person that comments on it.

In this spot I'd definitely get in. The villian will be playing almost 100% of his range, and if you double up you'll be in a better position.

Quick update: The $200 live shot was a fail. Got AA in vs AJs and flop came JJ2, I will take one live shot each $1k I make in challenge to keep my sanity and enjoy the game more. However I will probably only take half the action using this bankroll next time. Oh well no reason to dwell on it. I started playing cash today and after some internet issues & having a cold I played very poorly, just button clicking and gambling too much really. I am going to focus on DONs and a few small MTTs to rebuild for the rest of today.

3/29 2nd Session Rating: B, Played good all session, However spent to much on MTTs which really hurt my results. Going to focus mainly on DONs this week and work to get back over the $1k mark.
