Okay. I'm gonna give this crazy idea of going pro a real shot for the first time in my life.

First of all, hello. My name is Simone and I'm 25 years old.
The last couple of years I've been a freelance filmmaker making short films and playing Spin and Go's on the side (link to my previous 2+2 Spin and Go blog here: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...018-a-1702027/ ). If you are interested in reading what I have done pokerwise since 2018, I suggest you read my previous thread. But in short I’ve played poker for about 9 years, 7 years for real money online. I’ve dipped my toes in pretty much every format. I started as many does with sit n’ go’s and tournaments and moved to cash games at some point and ended back with tournaments after some time. From there I moved to the (back then) new and exciting format, Spin & Go’s, where I began to break out of being a breakeven/slightly losing poker player. I climbed the Spins ladder from $1 Spins to $15 Spins in around 6000 Spins and one and a half year.

As for now there has been some changes. I previously cashed out around half my bankroll to purchase a new cinema camera, because I wanted to take filmmaking even more seriously. We shot a very ambitious short film in Latvia in late January 2020, which I'll link to later in this blog, when it's done being edited. But my filmmaking feet has gone cold for now, and I've missed poker a lot, so I've decided to get out-of-the-park good at tournaments and hopefully make a living out of it. I will give it my all, and if it doesn't work I'll find another path in life. But I know I would regret it later, if I didn't give this beautiful game a decent pro-shot. I'm thinking, I'm 25 now. I've got a cheap apartment, no kids, no mortgage, no dog name Spike who needs to be walked every half hour -- but who knows where I'll be at in a couple of years. I need to give this crazy journey a shot before it's too late BAM BAM BAAM (that was meant to be a cheesy horror sound, if you are wondering).

Okay, so I have some simple rules for this challenge:
  1. I will grind >5 times a week
  2. I must study for one hour before grinding
  3. I will practice meditation for 10 minutes before grinding
  4. I will give this an almost full time shot until July 1. (Three months from the start of this blog). If I have not seen the desired improvement of my game then, I will think about what I will do then - but I'll likely get a part time job and keep the grind up on the side.
  5. My starting bankroll is around $1300, which makes me eligible for $2-$11 dollar tournament right now, and I will move down in stakes relentlessly if needed.
  6. I will stream on Twitch >3 times a week as soon as possible, when all the practicals are in order. Link to my Twitch here: https://www.twitch.tv/skorfix.
  7. I will post 3 hands every week in this blog for in depth review.

Cool. So. Here we go. Going pro.

Seems like youre life situation is perfect for trying something like this. So well thought out regarding that.

However, a $1300 bankroll seems pretty low. But if going bust doesent have any other consequences for you besides losing the money and getting a job, i dont see why you shoudnt give it a try so good luck
