Hi community,

My name is Jamie, I've been floating around these forums for about a year now and have finally plucked up the courage to post my own PG&C thread. My resistance to post was down to concerns of my own knowledge of the game and my poor results to date, I have also been travelling Australia which makes having time difficult. However I am soon to return to my home country of Ireland so I'm ready to dedicate my mind and time to this wonderful game.

Just a brief summary of my history of playing to date. I played mostly tourneys and sit n go's since starting playing at the start of 2012. I was like any standard recreational player a donkey who thought I knew what I was doing. However through amazing run good on party I managed to get some decent size scores, not huge but which meant I almost broke even overall even though my results on stars were yuk. I was also one of these degens starting off who had a roll of $100 and would play 6 $15 sng. I count myself very lucky to not have blown through a huge amount of money which should of been the case instead of being only down a 100 bucks or so.

Recently I've decided to play 6max cash. Unlike most grinders on here I have not started at 2NL but instead jumped right in at 10NL. I know this is not ideal and it would be better to crush a lower level first, however due to my job I have allowed my self to deposit enough to start at this limit.

My starting bankroll was $400, however my spewyness and poor BRM has meant it has fluctuated as I tend to fire up a few tourneys on Sunday albeit no higher than $11 however it does hurt my BR. Finally in the last two weeks I have decided to apply myself to a strict BRM plan meaning no more tourneys or sng. I have often used sng to replenish my bankroll quickly after taking hits to my roll, however I don't intend doing this again after a losing session and instead ride out the highs and lows of 6max. I love playing deep and the extra skill factor and dynamics of 6max cash and want to apply all my time at it.

This thread means alot to me as I have a hunger to push on up through the limits, Because of this I intend to keep it updated regularly (at least every second day) so any feedback or questions from established player or players who are wetting their feet in poker are welcome as-well as criticism on hands I display. With this being my first ever post on 2+2 I really intend to post alot of questions in the micro NL forums and hopefully become a recognised member on the site.

I have recently purchased HM2 and have a graph to display but it is only for a few thousand hands of my last few days of play. I'll put it up anyways as surprisingly I've turned a profit, Hope rungood continues for awhile longer!!!

Right I'll be back tomorrow with some news on my progress as well as hands for people (hopefully) to review!

BANKROLL: $527.70

Yesterday I was only able to play a thousand hands or so due to work commitments. I didn't highlight it before but at the moment I play only 6 tables as I find I can concentrate alot better than when I attempt to mass table. However I would like to increase this to 10 tables in the future but only when I feel 100% confident. Anyways we ended up $27.98, however I lost a few ai with kk vs Ak and AA vs KQ. Anyways happy overall with my play. Started to really incorporate a light 4bet strategy at times during the session with marginal hands (AJ, KQ, ect) where I felt I had opponent crushed which was really pleasing.

Villain was very spewy and always went to war with top pair. Kinda like how I played the hand with the check back on turn, however people might argue that I could have lossed value.

This hand though I think I played blindly without really assessing a range for villain and got lucky that he was aggro with his pocket 5s. Could easily had JJ+ most times.

Really would like opinion on this hand as player only sat at the table. Unfortunately I still have not found the skill to fold Aces in this spot.

All in all after recovering from some beats I kept tilt under control which is good and made a little profit.

        Days Profit: +27.98

        Bank Roll: $558.58

        GL buddy.

about the hands. At some stats from the players in the hand, so we can discuss more and better about the hand.
like the aces you got there, there are a lot of draws there. you got the ace blocker and his min raise looking very strong thought..
