Alrighty then...

In the spirit of the freeroll and giving you guys a sweat, I'm currently 3k/75k hands. I am working hard just not much time playing wise. A lot of stuff with coaching as we retool a bunch of BTS stuff and then of course surrogacy have had long convos with the wife and everybody in making some big decisions life wise.

I'm hoping to get around 11k hands done by end of the weekend and pick up volume big time next week.

Week 23: June 1st-June 7th

1.) 36.29 hours of Poker Yearly Goal: 732.25/1800

2.) 0 hours of Mental Health Yearly Goal: 11.11/75

3.) 30 minutes of Fitness Yearly Goal:53.88/200

A few general notes about this week. I unfortunately got very little actual poker playing time in (16 hours), the majority of the time was basically doing a lot of leg work on the new coaching program/ finishing some old scheduled coachings, and a few hours of study.

Past 2 weeks have been very bad habit of not meditating, so I'm going to make that a big focus as I plan a heavy volume week.

Freeroll

Glad this has gotten a lot if interest! I think i'm more motivated to win now just to avoid running an RNG with 100+ names on it

The pace: 9,013/75,000 right now. I knew with the coaching work and the surrogacy stuff this week it would be tough to to get hands in, but I was really hoping to get in the 12-14k hand range.

As a result, I'm going to have to really push it hard this week to get back on pace. Obviously, I plan to do that, which means this upcoming week should be the busiest one of the year.

Also, since I play a good portion of my on an untracked site my graph will almost certainly not show 75k hands, so in the interest of transparency I will show my hours played on the tracker and anything else I can think of that will help. Otherwise, hopefully everyone can trust in my integrity.

Surrogacy

Had a lot of deep conversations this week with my wife and cousin regarding the surrogacy as there was a lot of logistics to be solved. In the end, every decision was carefully thought out and discussed and there were no impulse decisions.

-We are going to start the process now.
-We are going to stick with the surrogacy agency as well.

Those were the two big decisions made, along with countless other smaller details. In the end, I really just want to be a dad, I think that's just something I've always wanted and with poker I've made it possible to add to the household without the financial stress.

Even starting this process now and everything going right a baby would still be about a year away. We still have plenty of steps to clear with Jazz as well, as she hasn't been cleared by the clinic (although by all signs I'd be shocked if she wasn't).

As for the agency, we want multiple children and Jazz can't promise more than one (which is more than I could ever expect anyway). The nice thing about this is if we get to the top of the list we can just freeze ourself if the timing isn't right for #2.

So yeah cool stuff all the way around.

-----------------------------------------------------

Also somewhat random note but should be on the BTS stream relatively soon with MMA in the coming weeks

If you want to be consistent with meditation start it right after another daily task that you always do no matter what such as brushing your teeth.

One thing that has worked for me is when I used to wake up I’d instinctively grab my phone and waste 10-20 min just browsing web, checking emails, reading 2p2 etc. I simply open meditation app instead and complete it first thing in the morning. Then I do all the random non-essential reading during breakfast. This way I’ve added daily meditation with 0 additional investment in time.

Getting time off my phone is something I'm definitely working towards cutting down on. Deleted a bunch of old apps and don't have any SM on there except twitter (which I use for news but tbh might be better off going cold turkey on)

Anyway, I completely agree with everything you suggest and just haven't implemented it. For example, did my meditation this week but really wasnt in a set schedule.

Pace: 27,119/75,000. Still behind pace but still expect to clear it as ill just add a in the the extra hours as it gets closer, and if i have to play 25k hands in a week it's not the end of the world.

Crazy week that ended really well, I really can't complain about variance this year cause I've really ran completely fantastic this year running below EV every single year prior. This year has def made up for it

Freeroll pace: 41,489/75,000 def need to haul ass now as I did a bunch of social stuff this week. So gotta haul ass or I will lose this freeroll. Think it's time to tell my wife about this so I have the fear of God in me to not lose this.

Otherwise life is good and poker is good!
