Today I am starting with about 650 bucks.
As of 6 hours ago I am quitting all forms of gambling other than poker.

I am in Vegas for the next few months. Goal is to have bankroll of 15k before I leave town.

By next summer I want to have my 70k in debt cleared and 30k to play some events at the WSOP. I am going to update this every day. Maybe give a little more details about myself as time goes on.

What's the game plan in Vegas with $650? Is it all for poker or also for expenses? What are you up to out there for the next while? Do you plan on firing 2 or 3 cash game bullets, or are you going to play small tournies?

I have expenses covered other than food. I will be playing mostly cash games, when I get back home (Canada) I will be doing a mix of online MTT and live cash.

First short session in the books. Won 750 at 1/2 south point. Nothing too notable, KK held vs a flush draw and just picking up pots vs nits.

Going to play elsewhere now after finding some food.

Alright so a few days in the books. Bankroll is now 2150.

No real interesting hands, I took a few 2 outers on river at South Point yesterday or else bankroll would be closer to 3k.

A message to any 1/2 or 1/3 NLH players, your table talk gives away so much about your game and you don’t even realize it.

Obviously very few players are able to pick up on these things at lower limits but you really should be careful.

Lastly I think most of my win rate at these low stakes live games would come from picking up on what bet sizes people use.

Anywyas now that my bankroll is over 2k there isn’t much chance of going back to Canada early. Hopefully I can get to 3k in the next few days and start taking small shots at PLO games. Maybe take 600 bucks and short stack a few buy ins.

A full day of grinding today, won roughly 1500. Went to Aria, there wasnÂ’t any 1/3 so I played 1/2plo.

Lost with AAKx vs KKAx all in pre for about 1200 near end of session or it would have been a great day.

Key hand of the day is a bomb pot. I am on the button with KQ79 no relevant suits.

Flop QT6 rainbow. Checked around, itÂ’s 7 handed and I thought about betting but eventually decided to see a turn.

Turn 4s bringing a spade draw. Checked around to me again and I bet 50 into 105. SB folds and BB now check raises pot to 255.

So far this guy seems like a decent reg and is definitely aware that the only strong hand I can have here is 44. I think most players at 1/2 simply arenÂ’t checking a big hand twice here though. I do have a double gutter and top pair so I call 200 more with the plan on calling a lot of non spade rivers.

River is a red T for final board of QT64T.
This is a great card for me I think. He leads out for 300 and I think for a second and call. He says he has a pair for fours I show my hand and he mucks.

Having a 4 in his hand is quite good to turn into a bluff, canÂ’t fault him for trying.

Alright so a few more days in the books.
Got my Diamond card recently and used my celebration meal at Hell’s Kitchen.

Everything was great except for the scallops. For the price they really shouldn’t be sending out scallops looking like that imo.



Tonight was the first night there has been any type of noticeable security/law enforcement presence around the strip due to the Knights winning the Stanley cup.
As someone who used to love being out and about on the strip it sucks how dangerous it seems now most nights.


Alright now to the poker. I fired a bullet in the 300 WSOP event Saturday, lost a coin toss and wasn’t in the mood to re enter.

Other than that I have just been playing random games around the city, 1/3 and 2/5 holdem mostly.

I am not some world beater these days but there is still quite a large skill gap between me and most players at these stakes.
Bankroll around 8k now.

Okay another 10 days in the books.
Bankroll is now 23 500. Running hot for the first time in ages. Been playing PLO at the Wynn and a little bit of 2/5 at CaesarÂ’s and Red rock. The 2/5 Red Rock games are so bad though, I really like it out there but it just doesnÂ’t make sense to play there.

Here is a weird hand from Caesars. I open raise 88utg to 20, MP calls SB calls, button calls and while he is looking at his cards I can see that he has either the 2d or 3d. I have 800 and he covers. If someone isnÂ’t protecting their cards I will always tell them, but not during at active hand that I am a part of. I have been at the table for about an hour and I donÂ’t think the button has played a single hand yet.

So I basically know the button has 22, 33 Ad2d or Ad3d. Flop 9c3d5d. I bet 45 into 105 after SB checks. MP folds and button raises to 180. So he pretty much has to have Ad2d since the 3d is on board. I call the 180.

Turn is a 5s. I check he goes all in and as I mentioned has me covered. I call, river is a an offsuit king.

I wait for him to turn over his busted combo draw so I can take the pot. One problem, he actually has 9d2d and scoops the 1700 dollar pot. Very surprised he randomly played that hand.


I won about 8k over 48 hours playing 1/2plo at the WYNN. Lots of action there right now. Drove by a pretty crazy fire the other night on the way to red rock, was out there again tonight and the fire is still going 2 days later.
