Hi there!

My name is Catalin I’m 20 years old and I’m from Romania. This time last year I was in collage studying to become an engineer, at first it was interesting, but as the weeks passed I realised this is not for me. So I dropped out, came back home and tried to find success playing poker but failed because I was too lazy to put in the work necessary to succeed. In July I went to Ireland to live with my sister and start a new life. Start searching for jobs, get a few interviews but then I got an interesting email from Gordon about a program called Coaching for profits. I applied and waited for the reply saying to myself, if I get in this program I will do anything to succeed. The reply came and I got in. I was happy for a while but then I realized that I can’t stay in Ireland with my sister anymore if I want to pursue my dream. So I went back home and here we are.

Now about my poker adventure: About two years ago I deposited 10 $ on PartyPoker and in a week I had 50$ from a depositor freeroll but I didn’t like the software very much so I moved to PokerStars. Started playing MTT-SNG especially the 90 men, those were soft. Grow my bankroll to 270$ and get bored with SNG, so I started playing SH Cash games. Started at NL5 and managed to move up slowly and play NL25 regularly and take some shots at NL50, this was a month ago. Now I want to give my all and take shots at higher limits.

Short term goals:

- I want to prove to Gordon and myself that I am a champion and a person that can be trusted, I want to work my ass off, and to make working hard a strong habit.

- 50 hours of poker, 6 days a week, study time included.

- Exercise 5 days a week.

Long term goals:

- Become a professional poker player and a good one, this is my biggest dream! I want the whole packet, not only to make money playing a game, but to be professional in general to work hard, help others and have a balance life.

That’s all for now, I will bring updates as soon as I can.

Good luck at the tables!

Hi sorry for the delay. So yestarday I was a little closer to my goals, played 7 h still NL10, Gordon told me to stick with NL10 for a few days.

The graph from yesterday, this is on BetSafe and PaddyPoker. It went good win some flips and hit some nuts . I still struggle in some little pots with fishes, I think I call to much vs them. Still you can complain to much when you run over the EV line. Today I will try to play a little more and try to maintain the upswing!

Current Bankroll : 1048.62 Euro.

GL,

we need more chicks playing poker

Also, one of the ways to really improve your game and become better is to become an active 2+2 member. You will make a ton of online poker friends that you will occasionally meet in real life as well as learn a lot.

Passive learning: studying, reading, watching training videos, is okay. But the BEST learning is ACTIVE learning-- getting involved, asking questions, arguing theory and best lines, etc.

You should post in the strat forum of the stakes you play, commenting on hands from others as well as posting hands.

There is a reason why a lot of successful 2+2ers have thousands of posts. You should be posting at least twice a day on 2+2 as well as going through the various threads and archives.

In any event, wish you the best of luck and hope you become an ACTIVE 2+2 member and not just a fly-by-night flash in the pan lurker...

OK it’s time to make a summary for last week and try harder this week. Last week I played and study around 46h, which is not exactly what I planed. But I least I managed to learn Gordon’s book cover to cover. On the exercise goals I came really short, managing to exercise only two days. This week I already played 8h, which is a good start and I will try to keep playing at least 7h and exercise 5 times this week. This is how the graph looks like until now NL10-NL20. That’s it for now, good luck at the tables guys!

Current bankroll : 1076.04 Euro

PS: I'm not a girl

Hi again. Update time, So This graph is from the last 3 days. Things went pretty bad, hit the stoploss one time. I’ve done a review and I found out some leaks, Calling vs fish to wide and overplay some hands. I can’t blame the variance. The results are entirely my fault. I will study and try to play better and come back with the review of the week. Good luck at the tables.

OK, it’s time for update. Because of my last week downswing I was decided to move back down to NL 10 to rebuilt my confidence and my roll. Things went pretty good and now I’m looking forward to put in some more hours. Good luck at the tables.
