Im not kidding.
I can say really only 1 of the 7 sessions I played (I broke up nights with dinner / parade breaks) was OMG-WTF awesome. Most of the others seemed a bit run-of-the-mill (although not bad by any stretch).
Just for fun, I kept track of the times 100+bbs ($300+) stacks went in. In my game back home ($300 max BI), they very rarely go in (in a 8:15 session on Sunday I don't believe I saw it happen once although I admittedly wasn't paying careful attention). Most of the time big stacks went in, it was defensible, other than some lol times:
Defensible:
1) AKs ($600, active player) raises UTG, KK ($350) flats right behind, AA ($650, active player) 3bets, AKs 4bets, KK shoves, AA shoves. AKs sigh calls (understandable at this point?).
2) A minraise to $6, 66 ($800) flats, 2 calls, 77 ($800, same guy as hand 1 AKs) 3bets to $80, 66 calls (ok, whatever, lol), HU to KK6 flop, 77 cbets, 66 slowplays, 7r turn (lol), bet/call, Ar river, 66 crying calls the shove thinking AK got there.
3) Raised multiway, 77 vs 66 with $500 stacks get it in on a Q76r flop (lol, it's the next night but 66 is the same guy in hand 1 AKs / hand 2 77, he's in lottsa big pots obviously although doesn't seem ******ed).
4) I limp AA $320 effective, Button $20 with AKs, I limp/reraise to $75, he shoves. Meh, he doesn't know me, he's only been at the table for an hour where I've only won one hand by tabling one J after my river shove isn't called on a K443Jr runout where I had JJ).
WTF:
1) Guy hasn't been doing nothing crazy. $450 stack. Knows all about the casino and rules. Has been cashing in peoples money and adding chips to his stack. The only time in 2 hours he's gotten big money in postflop he flopped a set. There's a raise, 55 calls (covers, and is aggro, not sure if history between them), he calls with 88, so relatively small pot to J75cc flop and they both get in stacks (WTF?!?).
2) $500 effective. Stacks go in by the river with AK vs JJ on AJ3hhA7r runout (meh, imo).
3) $400 effective, raised, 3way to KT9hh flop and AA gets it all in vs QJ (lol, imo).
4) Same guy as hand 3 AA idiot, he gets in $300 by turn with 86hh on T84hhTr, then lol turns his hand face up thinking hand is over (hits and obviously doesn't get paid off, lol).
5) Same guy as hands 3 and 4 idiot, this time barrelling off $550 (against the aggro guy who was in defensible big hands), by calling off $35 preflop with 84hh then barrelling for stacks when checked to HU on QJTr6r6r vs aggro guy's lol calling station A6 (backdoor flush draw on flop).
6) An aggro guy comes to the table, $300 effective, raises A5o in EP, 7ways (lol) to AKJhh, and gets in in vs a EP's donk with world behind (and is good, lol).
7) Saw $400 stacks go in with turned nut flush in raised pot versus raising opponent who claimed a flush (but didn't show so suspect).
8) Massive fish gets in $300 postflop with TP versus baby flush who shoves turn PSB.
CLIFFS:
- 100bb+ stacks went in 12 times in 25 hours (about once every two hours)
- 8 of these times were fairly to totally lol, and 3 of these were by the same person in like a 2 hour period (i.e. eliminate this guy from the mix and you have 100bb+ stacks going in just 5 times over 25 hours in a lol fashion)
- however, I didn't keep track of medium sized pots, and the final game I played in had like $200 pots every hand / every other hand (no one getting in stacks, but way too much money going in often)
