Oh dear lord... have you ever had that week where you couldn't do anything right? I ran bad... played worse... tilted off sooo much. It was pretty gross.

Cash: 33 hours
Tourney: 3.5 hours ($40 buy in, and I won!) Don't yell at me

On top of the poker, when we were leaving the Borgata, we lost the car keys haha. Yeah it was one of those weeks...

Went to Sands yesterday and had a pretty good day... so I feel a little better about poker. (Will be in this weeks graph)

Will post my graphs next week (Year to date/ May/ Year 1-2/ Year 2-5)

Hope everyone is running well.

Hey All, super interesting week... here it goes.

Shot a parody music video this past Sunday.

Sia Chandelier. If you haven't seen the original, please check it out first, very cool video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vjPBrBU-TM

And here is the parody we did, huge thanks to the amazing crew.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxRhK_3GztQ

Please like/ share/ subscribe. If people enjoy it, I'll prob start working on another one. Open to suggestions if you know of a good one, has to be recent!

Here is a behind the Scenes video! Such a fun day
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmnd...ature=youtu.be

From what I hear, from inside sources... The Parody has made it's way into Sia's email, but she has yet to watch it. Can't wait to hear what she thinks.

Oh yes, this is a poker blog lol, told you I would post graphs, not gonna talk about it, got smashed the past 2 weeks. Obv have had a lot on my mind with the Parody.

Howdy y'all,

Sorry for the lack of posts but I took a few weeks off. Sister was in town and had to do a few other things. Here's week 7 and 8, didn't play too much. Week 9 is below.

25 hours of Cash (1/2)
10 hours of low stakes tourneys with friends

This week! Got in a 33 hours total

3 hours PLO (1-2-5) (-$700)
16 hours NLH (1-2) (+$997)
14 hour NLH (2-5) (+$1541)

It was great to take a few weeks off and refocus and I think it helped a lot this weekend.

CONTEST!
I used to coach back in the day, it was pretty fun, sooooo....

1) Post the best joke that makes me laugh and get a free hour of skype coaching.

2) Post the dumbest joke that makes me laugh and get a free hour of skype coaching.

There needs to be at least 5 posts (for each contest) from unique members so I have a choice. Will decide by end of week who gets the coaching.

If people like it, I'll try to do a contest every few weeks.

Hope everyone is running well.
Best,
Rabs

First contest entry from my friend (Posted on FB, couldn't find his 2+2 log in)

What did one cannibal say to the other after eating a clown?
"Did that taste funny to you?"

I read all pages and i liked your thread , subbed
From what i read it i see that you are a lot better on cash games then tournaments , but i think thats not a reason to stop with them , just add a difirent bankroll a smaller one for tournaments only and thats it
Also i would love to see if u write afer every upday how s your hole bankroll going in this challenge ....thats just my opinion of course

Good Luck

Hey, thanks for the response. I'm giving tourneys a break for now, but might play some again in the future. Yeah, I'll start posting where the bankroll is at.

Trying to decide how big the roll should be before I start taking shots at 5/10... any suggestions?

I'm thinking, I started taking $400 shots at 2/5 with a 10K bankroll. (25 buy ins)
Maybe I do the same way with 30 buy ins? $800*30= 24k?

What's the buyin range? 100bb is awkward, but 80bb is arguably worse.

I don't follow... I'm pretty sure the max buy in is 100bbs. Why is that awkward? And why is 80bbs awkward?

Well, when I say awkward I just mean for play. In poker, how you play every single hand in your range is a direct result of effective stack sizes. Most people are used to playing with 100bb ESS since most NL games have that as a max buyin so they don't feel it's "weird," but in reality many 100bb spots turn into kind of weird, low SPR situations.

For example, in HU 3b pots with 100bb ESS, you have roughly 20bb in the middle pre with only 90bb effective behind. SPR = 4.5, so it only takes 2 streets to get all the money in if there's big sizing. 2 streets with a raise somewhere with small sizing. Even more so with 80bb stacks, although I guess your 3b ranges probably get warped so more single raised pots.

But particularly in live play, where there are so many multiway pots, you're often looking at very small SPR's on the flop.

Yeah makes sense. Those games don't play too deep. There is a 2/5 deep game that runs every now and then, haven't played it tho.

Hey, not really lol. Got smashed last month and poker isn't really making me happy at the moment. Prob gonna take a few weeks off to focus on some new projects.

Poker is just not that fun when it's your main focus, I knew it before but these past 2 months reinforced why poker should just be a hobby.

Thanks,
Rabs
