Ty! Important to always be CERTAIN that they will. The point we start doubting probability our mindset becomes more akin to that of a gambler.

Thanks a lot! Sounds like a lot of people are interested in the SNE grind next year, which SNGs would you hope to target it with? glglgl

Re: Supernova Elite by November 28th

Quick update before hittin the sack. Played two late sessions today and managed to earn 5k VPPs which wasn't terrible, though I was hoping to reach 6k.

The main problem was forces of nature forcing me to finish up the sesh then reload a new one. I've realized that my new serious gym routine is having a pretty serious effect on the chase in this way! The amount of water I need to drink while I'm grinding is now around 1-2 pints/session, and there's no frickin way I can hold out 6hrs+ with that in the tank! So my play schedule now has to factor this in so that I'm pretty much grinding maximum of 4 hrs at a time. Ib4 pee cup obv

So now the real sprint finish begins. Looking at just a touch under 10k/day pace required now for the last 9 days, but tomorrow being Sunday I'm hopeful to put in a monster day at the tables. Unfortunately for some reason traffic was quite poor this evening despite it being a Saturday, so gotta just cross fingers traffic stays reasonable over this period, otherwise that could cause some real teething problems. Results wise today went well, a winning day is a happy day and feeling driven and pumped to not only "finish this" but close out this chase in a HUGE way. With the volume I'll be putting in and a bit of rungood assistance a $10k+ week inc rb could potentially happen, would really give the completion of the chase a completely different feeling to the last couple months ONE TIME!!

Re: Supernova Elite by November 28th

Lol peebottle is +EV to the extreme, ask leatherass

I'm currently playing 18s-45s mainly, trying to make my SN as a preparation for next year.
I have slacked a lot this year due to motivational reasons/uni but next year I will finish up things and got full-time after february. I still have 30k to go (made 10k vpp last week) and I will def make it. How you guys make 10k vpp days is beyond mystery to me, but I'm sure it will come soon as I will move up in stakes.

Next year I will be adding 6m/9m as well for obv volume reasons, with way less tables than you are (12-14 tabling mostly) as it requires way more attention, just like you mentioned before. Hopefully I will have enough dedication/discipline, I have more energy for it than ever though.

Gl at finishing up! In regard of the toilet breaks: can't you, when you figure out your routines a bit, adjust your regging schedule in such a way that you will have breaks? I know it affects vpp, but it's just an idea not to total break. That way you can cut it down to, say, 6 tables, run to pee and get back when you had no hands and start regging again

Ah cool that sounds awesome. I'd recommend having your big ambition of aiming for SNE but always knowing in your mind if it becomes clear SNE is too big a step up, you can always have a fantastic year without it. That could help you in two ways:

1) So much less pressure, you'll avoid getting too deep into something that you begin to realize wasn't suitable quite yet

2) If things go great, you're in a position to push hard to get it

I think sometimes people create an enormous goal that ends up being more of a burden than a dream by the time they're half way through, so initially a non-committal, dipping feet in the water kinda approach can make it a more pleasant transition without it feeling like a jail sentence you MUST complete.

Regarding the toilet breaks, that's an interesting idea. The only problem is that going from 30+ tables down to ~6 is already losing quite a bit of the load-down time, and it's at the other side of my apartment!! I have done that on occasion but usually more at the start of a sesh when missing hands is less likely to be as detrimental compared to later game. I'm expecting sync breaks to be introduced though for 18-mans at least.

Re: Supernova Elite by November 28th

Today was good, made exactly 12,500 VPPs to get back with the pace nicely. At the tables I made a decent amount but funnily enough still ran $1.5k below EV! I'm gonna just look at it as being grateful for nice card distribution and sleep content and ready to rock this final week out!

Since we started doing the 18s, I have hated the fact that at xx:55 i wanna go pee (trained my body over the last year or so lol) but i cant.
Sync breaks for 18s would be pretty darn awesome!
GL with the final push sir!

Tyty matey, think my sexual performance is gonna be through the roof with the amount of training ive been doing over the last 3 months. Either that or I'll need a new kidney, would probably settle for both

Re: Supernova Elite by November 28th

Today was alright for a Monday, made 7.6k VPP and pretty much broke even after rakeback. Again ran over $500 below EV, but variance doesn't have a memory. Easy to remember successive negative variance patches and forget all the luckbox streaks. That said, $12.5k below EV in 8 days, time to turn around!!

Felt really knackered tonight after a monster gym sesh, so started my main evening grind already exhausted. Pretty much pushed out 3 hours of extra grinding that I really would have preferred being asleep during, but at this point a bit of hard graft goes a long way. Still, didn't get as many VPPs as I would have liked, but Mondays are always like this following tough long Sunday seshs. I'm hopeful that I can put in some very solid hours tomorrow and record another big VPP day. Until then, I'm gonna crash!

Re: Supernova Elite by November 28th

Made 9.3k VPPs today

Given how much I overslept, and the time I've managed to finish at, and the fact the day ended in plus and ~$400 above EV, a great day all round. I would otherwise have grinded another 2-3 hours, but given what happened to me this morning I realized the cost:benefit of pushing those last couple hours versus the quality sleep time I compromise doesn't make it worthwhile, even in terms of productivity. By quality sleep time I refer to the fact that there are certain hours of day/night which offer our natural body clock a better quality of sleeping than others. That's why you can get loads of sleep after going to bed at 4am, wake up and feel crappy, but go to bed at 10pm, sleep 7 hours and feel fantastic. I also suspect this is compounded by the interval of eating your last quality meal before sleeping at these different times of night.

Anyways, plan is to keep pushing hard, wake up tomorrow at a decent time, and have more available hours coz of it. 59k VPP to go so will be into the last half century of the chase after tomorrow. Lets goooooooo

Thx for the encouragement! Yep definitely feels like I'm closing in now

Very pleasantly surprised at the amount of kind words and support I've got during this chase, definitely gives a nice boost. Very little animosity too which is incredible, probably due to staying away from making any youtube vids for now!

I think you, Jdawg and a couple of others have inspired a few people to try mass tabling games and to look at the Stars reward system. Certainly have for me and given how hard it is to do half the number of games/hours you play, I'm sure most people just respect and admire that.

Definitely do a thread next year. You've got 1 follower here

Haha thx man, I'm sure u realized that back those months ago! Ridiculous mostly in other ways, but anyway. Looking at the last week I'm averaging about 56 games/hour, obviously this will fluctuate considerably depending on the game variant. 6-max hypers as many as >100/hr, and 6-max turbo/18 mans much lower. Average buy-in depending on what games are filling is another key determinant.

Ah that's awesome. Yeah I think things like this are really cool to show that something IS possible, which people otherwise might just assume is ridiculous. Once people see it happen, they accept a new benchmark and can use that to set against rather than a much more modest one previous.

For me the player I would credit to showing me this is Boku87. I remember when he did the $100-$20,000 (I think..could be off), I thought to myself: "yes, mathematically it can be done and the grind does make sense...BUT IT CAN'T BE DONE!!". I thought that but at the same time was extremely excited to see him go at it and possibly even achieve it. When he did achieve it, he set a precedent.

Hopefully with this I can do something of that nature. I was also keen to show that you don't have to be ballin out of the park on high stakes to do this, and you don't need to sacrifice an entire year of constant grinding. Mid stakes+, solid worth ethic, a very clear plan of attack and an absolute CERTAINTY that you WILL SUCCEED are the key ingredients to making it possible.

More importantly, I would hope that anybody can relate the idea of how to attack a goal and use this to their advantage for whatever their pursuit is, whether it's SNE, getting their first $100 bankroll, top grade college year or getting their ass in shape. In fact if you look at the list I just gave in reverse order, I think that's an ultimate action plan.
