apologies are so lame imo, since you never mean it
just rake in the pot & be graceful

Rough Sunday to say the least.

Built up a lot of stacks and and at one point had 30k+ in 5 different things, and cashed zero. Had like 60k at 100/200 in the milly, continued pwning the table for another hour or two and then proceeded to get set over set and KK into AA with a super aggro image. Butchered in pretty much everything else and 2 entries in the MFTOPS Main, neither panned out. I haven't even put much volume in this month but am feeling pretty withered after every session and the constant run bad. Think MU is around 11k now which is a little scary Had a super emo moment, got down in the dumps and laid face down on the loungeroom floor with Marly for an hour or so after busting everything lol.

I've put more focus on study and less on grinding this month... not an ideal way to start off the year but i'm just doing what I feel is best. and am pretty sure Platinum status/Supernova pace isn't achievable by the end of the month, especially with plans to lower av buy in a little. nbd though, just means I'll have to go a bit harder in February to make up for it.
I've got coaching tomorrow night and will probably keep a focus on study for the rest of the month. Just feeling a little sloppy and want to re-read/re-watch some stuff, aswell as keep working through the TPE University courses. Speaking of, read a cool article the other day and am going to sit down and set up a proper pre-grind routine, as yesterday I was at the computer regging within 10mins of waking up and that's a big no-no.

Finished up the day by hanging out with Marly and railing some Aussie legends MJW and Talerric/Capitao in the $109r. Congrats to Capitao chopping for 42k!

Feeling really good about things. Had a good chat with my backers about MU and moving forward etc, and just finished a really good coaching lesson. The lessons are always a great reality check that there's still so much more to learn about this game and ALWAYS ways to improve. We got some really good spots and notes out of an $11r FT bubble from 2 weeks ago. I'll be going through it all over again this week with Flopzilla and ICMIZER and making sure the stuff we discussed is locked in the brain.

Going to have a shower, a little brekky, and maybe take Marley for a walk before I start regging at 3am with the 54 KO.

Another really well played session in the books, results wise not so much.

Ended up 1 tabling the $8 1R1A in the end and lost huge CL pot in the final 100. AKcc to JJ. Built it back up and got JJ vs AK for another CL pot and busto. #wrongsideofcoinz

Really happy with how I've played last 2 sessions though. Making good decisions and feeling really focused.

Or playing higher. 250vpps is about $45 in rake so around $450 a day in buy ins. Keep yesterday's schedule (provided it was all on stars) and you'll do it easily.

So ridic. Maken dem moves at the $11 [3k] FT haha. Obviously unnecessary but squeeze seemed too good to pass up on. Played a lot with both of them especially the flatter pre (about 800 hands on him)... expect that squeeze to work sooo often and when it doesnt, the flatter is folding a tonne post flop. LOL flop, but come onnnnnnn

Disappointing ends in a couple tourneys last night, but happy with how I played. Thought I was a shoe in for a 888 Final Table in the $66 Breeze, won CL pot AA vs 1010 with about 25 or so left, but it didn't pan out. And FT'd the $11 [3k] but then that stupid hand in the above post haha

I actually play on 3 sites, but only cashed on stars for that last update so didn't mention the other sites.
I can't really play much higher than I am atm. I play pretty much everything good $55 or under on Stars, plus 22c. Full Tilt is mainly $11s $26s $44s and $55s. and on 888 I play the $22 Deepstacks and the $55/$66 stuff with the weird names, monsoon, breeze etc. The only thing that I'm backed for that I leave out is 109 on 888. May pick them back up once MU is lower.

Probably going to start playing some more arvo/nights in Aus time, so might see you around! Hope your well mate gl at the tables

Ft bubbles over the last month or so:
    10th / 33k - Micro Millions ~ 16k ftw
    10th / 12k - Hotter $11 ~ 16k ftw
    10th / 400 - $55 Monsoon ~ 5k ftw
    11th / 800 - $11r [15k] ~ 4k ftw
    12th / 880 - $54 KO ~ 6.5k ftw

It's just getting ridiculous. Shouldn't be whinging but need to vent somewhere. Would be in none/barely any makeup if even one of those went my way.

FT'd the $66 Breeze today and took 4th for 1.3k. Lost A7 vs A5 and A10 vs A5 to the same guy, both times for the CL 4 handed. Then FT Bubbled the $54 KO today AK vs A7 bvb for 4/11 and guarenteed FT, after being 2/17 aswell. I've just had enough of it. It's so frustrating to be in a spot that will potentially clear ALL of my makeup, but then bust both in hands where I dominate them. Like atleast let it be a flip or something, come on. #whenwillitend

Play through it, you'll get there. Treat the mu like a game score and you won't worry about it so much. As long as you play well, soon enough you'll break through and start binking tournaments.

A lot of runs and cashes yesterday. But that's two 12ths in the $54 KO 2 days in a row . Two 20ths in the $66 Breeze in 3 days. My second $55 Monsoon bubble in a week or so. I got 1 outered in the $22 Big Antes where I would've been 3 way with even stacks against 2 really soft players. In almost every single one of those deep runs I was CL or top 3 stack from the final 30 onwards but just get so fisted in the end.
It was probably one of the most funnest sessions of poker I've ever had tho. I wasn't really sucking out but when I was going deep and got it in ahead I was just HOLDING nicely, it was awesome. But It's so brutal to think of how much equity and money I've missed out on over the last few weeks from running deep and bubbling stuff. I need to get better at dealing with this. It's just hard to shake the feeling that every bubble is such a missed opportunity that is hard to get back.

Have been grinding hard last few days, I think today will be my 7th day in a row of playing. Lots of close calls and it's hard to not be frustrated about it. But I have to just keep reminding myself that once I'm out of the tournament... I'm out. Nothing can be done. Dwelling on it only puts me in a bad frame of mind for the rest of my games or for the rest of the day.

Lately I've been working on a lower variance schedule and have had some help from a stablemate. I think my platinum/supernova goals are going to be pretty hard/nearly impossible considering my stakes and the fact that I'm playing on 3 sites aswell as adding Party Poker this week. So i'm probably going to reassess my yearly goals and make some changes to my OP for this thread before February starts.

Feeling really focused tho and will stay in this groove leading into February. Will do a monthly recap day after tomorrow.

        JANUARY REVIEW

I think I played really well for the most part of January. 7 FTs for the month but far too many close calls in the ones that matter.
        10 FT bubbles including 2 x $54 KO, 2 x $55 Monsoon, The Hotter $11, Superstack early antes, $11c, $22 6-max turbo, 11r [15k]... It's not the beats that annoy me, it's the feeling of a missed opportunity.

As I start grinding more I'll give myself more opportunities and will just have to make sure I always do the best I can with them.
My game has come a LONG way and I'm in a pretty good groove at the moment, need to keep it going and stay in the zone. Lots of goals coming for February to keep me motivated and on-track.

So February is off to a pretty good start. Had a friend over for the weekend and we managed to get 3 sessions in.

I took 5th in the Hot $22 on Saturday afternoon for $1.3k and 8th in a little escalator bowlcomp on full tilt. Didn't cash anything the next morning, then we started up again 3am Monday morning (Australia's version of the Sunday Grind") and that went pretty well. Started off the sesh with 50th in the $54 KO and FT bubble of The Fiver $5r on Full Tilt, 12th in $22 Big Antes etc. However, I kept on regging past my usual time and it worked out

chopped it HU with equal stacks. Opponent didn't want to play it out for points.
Next hand he open shipped 89o. I called with 77 and lost

Unfortunately, the second biggest FT I've ever made didn't work out the same way.

My new dog Marley seems to have really settled in. She's a rescue dog that we adopted. Her original owner use to work in the city and would leave her home all day by herself, with no fenced in backyard, so she'd end up just wandering the streets at night till her owner got home at 9pm. And among other things was basically just a real crappy owner.

A friend of mine lived up the road and took Marley in because she saw how she was being treated, but they couldn't keep her forever and eventually had to give her up to a rescue service who adopt out dogs, which is where we got her from. It wasn't until I posted some photos of Marley on instagram that I even knew about her history. My friend (the one who took her in) recognized her in the pics and filled me in on everything. So including the house she stayed at while waiting to be adopted, we ended up being her 4th home... and she's only 1yr old.

She really does seem to love it here though and I hope she knows this is her new home, for good. She even fell asleep on me the other day haha

Sick weekend, gross final table. I would have been feeling a bit sick after that.
