Hey guys I've posted on 2p2 a bit and played my share of poker primarily stts, and a fair bit of 6max and 180s. I'm a significant winner at lower stakes, had some successes in mtts but feel my improvement has been pretty stagnant. I am trying to stay sharp and grind some mix of stts, mtts, and cash. I am certain I am a winner to the tune of 15-20$ / hr at lowstakes stts but want to improve my game and don't feel I am doing that there. I feel stts are good to learn, ok to rb grind but quite dead outside of stars and (lol) fulltilt. I had a few good months of 24s and 36s there and felt I had a future and could improve and play 60 + 120s.

That's gone now and I don't see any future in stts beyonds 11s where I play now. It's hard to really want to improve your game when given current fields your peak hourly is probably quite low at stts. So the plan is to play cash to improve my deepstack game and play all speeds of mtts up to 11s. I love thinking about ranges and exploiting nits and that gets hard to do in a fast turbo structure like the stts I am grinding now.

The plan:

I will mostly be playing on ongame with some mtts on lock perhaps.

-grind tons of stts for leaderboard + rakeback value at peak times.

-play 10nl at other times, I will move up to 25nl as soon as I feel I have a good feel for the ranges of regs / fish / etc and I have some confidence (win a couple buyins).

roll is ~1.4k

This week, I am going to play 1200+ games for the leaderboard. If I fail I will donate 100$ to any charity you guys recommend. Goal is achievable but not that ez as I played 1k games last week in 35 hours and took this week of cuz I am lazy. No more lazy!

Cheers for now

Lifetime at all games <5s at ongame, not alot of games and I ran good for sure. Mainly 10man turbos with a fair share of 30s. I get in about 30 games an hour 14 tabling during longer sessions so the hourly isnt bad. I make alot of money from the rakeback and leaderboards. Likely a good bit more than the 65% this graph is set to.

GL, been thinking of moving to ongame, how's the traffic for sng's ~ $2-$7 BI? how much tables could play at the same time?

Alot at peak times. You can load more 3.3 + 5.5 10-man turbos than you want to try and play on ongame (trust me I've tried). They have a 30 second timeback now which helps. decent time is anytime after 10am and dies at about 2am CET. Peak within that is obviously like 5-10pm.

Eh off to a lazy start! What else would you expect! I thought the 2 freerolls I had tickets for were 2 hours later than they were and I missed those. Probably get like a 30$ LB score for the past week! Went to get tires put on my car and the lady never called back and I had to walk over a mile each way. Long story short its 630pm and I am loading my first session!

Incase it wasnt clear the weekly goal is 4pm thurs-thurs since the leaderboard is on eurotime.

.. hours later...

Winning mtts. Got itm in a few yesterday and went semi deep in some 600 player fields and then won a 2.25 normal speed for 30.xx WEEEE only took 3 hours. Just shipped a 11$ turbo for 130. Fields are so much softer than stts. Incomparable. I like the 30-100 person fields alot of games have at night to minimize variance. Ran bleh at stts and they stopped loading up fast enough to 14 table so just closing out 2 mtts and up 60ish in cashier.

48/1200 games

125+ games tomorrow am then leaving to catch end of day and night snowboarding at the mountain! Then six solid days on the grind!

148/1200 games

On a 40 abi below ev swing in stts. Doing good at mtts but just busted 7/224 in a 11$ turbo in an unsatisfactory fashion for 84ish. lil frustrating since first is close to 500$Also went deep in a 22 and managed to bust like 15/85 with a decent stack, I rejammed AT vs an active BU with 20 bb and he has AJ. gg. Gotta say it again these games are amazingly soft! Shouldnt reg any 22 though, least not on a daily basis.

NL Holdem $10,000(BB) On Game

Dealt to Hero 9 A

fold, UTG+1 raises to $47,531 (AI), Hero raises to $56,052 (AI), fold, fold, fold, fold

Hero shows 9 A
(Pre 60%, Flop 74.4%, Turn 86.4%)

UTG+1 wins $117,062

Anyways I need to stop being a whiny little bitch whenever I hit small variance and just grind through it. "Today" was a long 30+ hour day as I never slept, drove 4 hours roundtrip and went snowboarding. The games were amazing but I ran 300 below ev in sngs and am up 100ish with rakeback and schedules. Could've been alot better but I played well especially given how tired and frustrated I was at times. Should hit next tier in vip program tomorrow and then get master by end of week (5x multiplier for all of next year, similar to supernova but with less rake).

Next post I will have over 500 games. Time for a good long sleep and a long grind tomorrow.

While all the idiots are watching videos about value betting... you could be anti-value checking!

So today I played a 3.30 quali and won a 33$ ticket. Then I play a 33$ tournament and won it.

Spoiler:
There were 3 entrants, GO ONGAME!

240 games yesterday, just 170 today because I took some time off during the day and was 8-12 tabling for stretches. Volume is dead now so I guess thats it for today. 200+ tomorrow

565/1200 .. just a lil ahead of pace.

#graphs

pretty much crushing the 30 mans + schedule and running pretty ugly in 10mans esp 11s. Can't complain on the whole, grind goes on.

Loooong week. Kudos to you guys who regularly play this much (prob. me soon :s) Played about 55 hours and we'll see how the leaderboard turns out since its always days behind. Not playing much over the holidays but will be back. I intend to either focus on games where I win alot at the tables like 30 mans + mtts or on the leaderboard pending how much time I want to put into the grind.

All in all I had fun and made a good chunk of change. Had a couple deep runs in mtts where 1st was 2.7k, 900,800ish and couldn't bink any of those. Can't complain though as I cashed for 10-20 buyins quite alot.

Happy Holidays and GL

So kinda quit playing for the holidays and was super disappointing since the week I grinded 1200 games I only got 8th for 200$ with 4.4k points and this week the winner with ONLY 4k points got 700$. GRR.

Also looking over stats on sharkscope and even with rakeback all my profit is from <11s. I'm breakeven over 1.2k 11s but am 600ish below ev. Either way it looks like the 5s are a better way to make an equal (if not more since they amount to a larger rb % with lb) amount of $ with less variance. Will still play 11$ 30 mans once I'm rolled since they have quite a few soft spots.

Anyways 1k games this week before leaderboard ends Thursday or 50$ to charity. 60 so far :S Gotta pay for 1700 in car repairs

Also any stt or mtt players wants to skype give me a pm.

Cheers

I have kinda let this thread die. Sorry Guys. Not sure anyone was reading it but I need to set some goals and get on top of shizz so I am back.

Exhibit one:
6,060 games $0.62 $4 13% $3,773 Ongame E9-10 S<=5 Rakeback70

Thats all 10 mans 3s and 5s for me at ongame. Basically I have been playing 3k ish games a month with some 30s and scheduled and 11$ stts as well. I should be getting alot more. My goal is to play 200 hours in March, this is between 4.5 - 6k games pending how many 30 mans I get in.

Other random things:

♣ I have been miss clicking a fair amount recently as well as timing out. Gotta stop surfing the internet, cooking, etc while playing poker. This is prob costing me at least 1% roi and it is not related to playing too many tables rather complete lack of focus and distraction.

♣ A significantly better diet, less overpriced energy drinks, coffee, and fast food. More water, fruit, veggies, etc.

♣ A run every now and again or some morning soccer / bball wouldnt hurt either!

♣ Less LOL (league of legends, addictive but ultimately a waste of time like most video games) Probably easily play 50 hours of this a month and thats at least 750$ if I play poker at a conservative hourly.

♣ Get out more in general.

♣ More 30 mans, scheduled stuff. Ran my last 80 on lock up to 200ish and just play random stuff there that is so much softer than games on ongame.

Goal for 1-8th is 1800 games which should be around 1k+ profit but cannot control that. If I hit both I will build a HTPC, run some linux and hook it up to our projector! Always love building new pcs, not big on linux yet but should be fun.

Jesus betfair blows. I disconnect alot while connected to merge and surfing the web. Just cost me 80$ and they probably will say "nop, our servers are great, we blame your net connection". Anyways well behind pace and cant & dont want to play anymore.

# of games, FAIL 832
# of hours, meh... like 35
# of dollars, just shy of 1.000 all together which is awesome for a week. 813 + 160 refund from disconnects (which cost me about 160 from that profit).

I played alot of reg speeds. 5.50 and 11 stts and 5.5 30 mans. Also played tons of 30 man turbos. Much bigger edges in these games than turbo stts.

More of the same this week!

Wow I got beat up so badly today. Played a 4 hour session, got it in good alot, ran 80k chips below ev. I was doing well till the end in terms of tilt then I sorta lost it and made a few pretty marginal calls without thinking things through. Anyways going snowboarding tomorrow and coming back fresh.

Also applied for a part time job outdoors to stay in shape and make some consistent money every month. Making some money on the side with poker is so much less stressful than when it is a sole source of income.

Cheers

Wow, I am tilting like a little girl. Really hope i get hired for this job. Today is not even funny 50k chips below ev and every time i shove aj they have aq. when their range is wide and i have ak they win every flip with 22. When we get a7 in vs a4 bvb for 50% of chips in play flop comes 776. i sigh and know im ****ed and it runs out 53.

Playing awful, running worse, fully tilted. its been along time. Didnt go snowboarding due to high winds. lol. 100 bi downer in 10 hours. wee.

Got hired for a part time job doing tree work outside. Pretty happy about that. Only working 2-3 days a week and really want to go somewhere in poker now and not withdraw all the moniez every month.

Today i learned: There are no ranges, only premiums or hands which pip your hand which just happens to be a +ev shove vs a range (if such a thing existed).

Anyways this week was a pretty big fail, gonna go back to my roots and just play 10 mans next week but play more reg speeds and mebbe some on merge. Up for a small prop or a skype friend to talk strat if any1 is interested.
