no? if you had read what i wrote (again) two posts ago i get enjoyment out of trolling Rayz (and also when others do it, of course). since he's said he appreciates (read: thrives on) "hate", and seems to be able to take a joke, i have no qualms about offering some sarcastic criticisms. the being helpful route has been tried by dozens ITT (me included) and it's a futile endeavor. any time Rayz asks me to stop posting; i'll happily oblige.

ironic how you accuse me of enjoying picking on people with mental issues yet you're the one that infers that Rayz has mental issues.

i'm done with this discussion now. i've got a pickleball match to play.

^this has been a struggle that maybe I shd talk more about. Lmk.
Got off track @goodjunk. So how many hours shd the volume goal be?
Tourney next week. Day 2 wd b 3.5 hours after our 10k Triple Crown Race. <—another force myself. I’m cool w finishing a 10k, driving 2 hours, and shipping a 250k g. force that ****er too.

Your hourly right now is right around 64 an hour. I would set a goal that’s based around that as a baseline. Something like 30 hours leading into next week or 2k in profit, whatever comes first. You gotta start putting in some time man. I totally get the mental health struggles; must have been devastating to run it up only to run it back down, but this hasn’t been the first time that’s happened! Keep grinding and let’s run it up again

Today -$265 4hrs50mins. First table didn’t open until 10a. Got a 2 mile pre poker casino run around while waiting. Run 26 of 2024.

Whoever purchased the painter pole w the drill hole at the end got added value. Lol

@johnn_on_the_spot gd idea.

Been raining last couple days. Maybe finish steps this weekend??
I’m realizing this is an ongoing project. Keep thinking of ways to make it better.

One of the hardest parts of being a poker player for me is to keep showing up after a few losing sessions. My hourly ($27 in 1/3nl) says keep putting in the volume. Taking @goddjunk advice and trying to log 30 over the next week.
+110 in March lol.
How long can I get by? Can I do this forever?

30 hours in a week sitting at a poker table sure sounds grim for being "semi-retired".

Can we do it for just one week tho?
Averaging only 16 hours a week currently. #semiretired
Need to get that avg up. The goal is more hours logged this month than last. We gotta beat 79 and got 18 currently.
Leaving now. Hit 4 quads for $300 high hand. We needed it!!
+$409 3hrs 29mins. Got to head to Lowe’s for pickle court materials.

Winning cures everything.

How many days a week are you wanting to play?

30 hours week / 7 days = a bit over 4 hours per day. Why quit at 3.5 hours? If we're going to play less days then obviously need to be hitting more hours to be on track.

aerything.

So, every kid graduatig from high school is semi-retired? This "semi-retired" stupidity is just to make you feel like you accomplished something, which you haven't. You're just a narcissist who really values that participation trophy.

I humbly request you never utter the meaningless term "semi-retired" again.

Thanks,
meshanti

I view sem-retired as someone who put in the work, has some assets, and now just wants to work part time to make enough $ to get by. It’s a beautiful life.
I think I started my semi/retired life in mid 30s.
Since this thread I don’t think I ever worked a 40hr week. Maybe a couple times during Covid w the side jobs, but doubtful. Averaging 20hr/wk over course of this thread. #semi-retired. *This year it’s 16hrs/wk and trying to get it up to 20hrs/wk by eoy.

Yes. I include all promos. It’s my $2 money that I contribute to promo fund out of every pot I win, so I will count when I hit a promo.
On other hand, count all tipping I do too.

#IAmNotARunner, but forcing myself to b one for another 8 days. 8 days!!! Countdown begins!!!
Started a 1.45mile w a 11min 33sec pace in December when a buddy @hello7027 started texting me pics of his runs.
Side note: @hello7027 is doing Couch to Marathon update vids on Insta.
This dude subconsciously put the runbug in me. Actually, if u hv a sort “bug” ur addicted, obsessed, and enjoying it, right? Like Golfbug or the poker-bug. Well, running is no “bug” at all for me. I fn hate it! W everything!
Realized tho that the running wd help expedite the weight loss 24lbs in 2024 goal, so off we went. A very slow 1.45mile in freezing temps thinking wtf is going on. Wth am I doing? Crack crack squeal squeak erck erck feelings throughout the body.

Signed up for this Triple Crown 10k’er that same month thinking I wd still b on the 24 in 2024. As u know, we accomplished the goal the first month and now still had to continue running throughout February and March. Still my mind wonders on these runs, but IÂ’ll get a 10k T-shirt soon. Oh boy.

#IAmNotARunner. Was always last in baseball warm ups. Only time I got the steal sign was when it wasn’t preceded by the indicator. On the base-paths, one time, Coach Buerger said, “Rayl get that ****ing piano off ur back!”

Got in the 3.4m this morning.
In 8 more days I’ll run the longest I hv ever run and will never again run that distance in my life.

Are you planning on maintaining current weight or gaining back some lbs? Have you been getting any concerning questions from friends or other players in the poker room about your weight loss?

this worries me. you're a gambler... not a professional. if you run bad for a couple of months regardless of being the best poker player in the world... you're left broke. is the plan then to come out of retirement?

Will never ban anyone. U can say whatever u want. I’ll never ask for a ban. A few occasions, some mods dm’d me asking. I hv always said let it be. It’s all gd.
If go broke, I’ll come out of retirement. Even though I put all my money on this house, we still split the rest.
Going broke can not b an option! Therefore, I need to get to the poker room and grind today.

10k in 5 days!! Never ran 6.2miles and not sure if I can. Got a condition run in today and will do a 3.5 miler on Wednesday. Then rest for the Louisville Triple Crown.

Played w a couple ladies today. One nearly mucked a full house after seeing dude’s flush. She said, “U got me, I only have a full house and u hv a flush.”
The other Lady short bought a few times and acted out of turn 15+ times. Preflop, otf, ott, otr, and every way possible.

-$189 3hrs 53 mins in a great game where opportunities never came about. Just didnÂ’t make a lot of hands today. ThatÂ’s all. All gd.

Left a little early to switch vehicles w Sara so I cd grab 100Â’ corrugated drainage pipe. Noticing a lot of water getting onto the court. Working on that tomo. Also, gonna need a delivery of gravel to fill in behind retaining wall. *steps still not finished, but gd start on them. Renting a concrete saw is also on the agenda at some point. Hoping to b being laying sod in April. ItÂ’s been quite an undertaking. Updare pic soon.
