^ -10 points @Marknfw . At least mention the $30 painters pole.

$500ish away from Mr.SkidSteer. Gd news on pickle annoyance sound. Family neighbor on left only there half the year. Family neighbor on right is a tennis family. We didn’t mention the plans to anyone, but we Fn going for it.

Today is the day 1/2nl at the boat changes to 1/3nl. I see this as small raise on my hourly.

We are left w a 50k life roll and about the same monthly expenses as the apt. Just got make $2500/month to stay above water.
Starting off hot on the 13th stream wd b fine for me.

I was tuned out for the painter's pole escapade. Only thing I know about it is from people giving you **** about it.

Love that OP is cool spending a bunch of money and potentially pissing off a bunch of new neighbors because his immediate 2 neighbors might be ok with pickle ball noise (though he really doesn’t actually know that). Admittedly, I have no idea of how annoying the sound is, but a quick google search seems to show it can be a noise that people take hard line stances against.

Why does anyone think pickleball noise is the important factor in this equation? OP is broke now locked into a million dollar house with kids and plays live 1/2 part time for a living. And is planning to invest in a pickleball court in his backyard for god knows why. Maybe it's a bit of revenge on the bank that approved the mortgage when they foreclose the house and have to dig up a bunch of concrete in the backyard before reselling

I'm curious if building a pickleball court requires a permit in Rayz municipality

He could be one phone call away from having to dig this all up by himself on top of a 5-figure fine

I don't recall whether Ray's mentioned whether an HOA is involved - if so he'd likely need a no objection from the neighbors.

That’s why I love it, because despite all the real **** that he should be worried about, he’s laser focused on building something that could potentially make him a proverbial leper in his new community. And no matter how many people tell him otherwise he’s going to build this court. It will be glorious.

My state does require permits to pour concrete in many instances, so it’s definitely possible.

We do hv HOA. Nothing I saw that will deter this Poker/Labor challenge. Gonna gv it a reread just to make sure.

May just spin this as a basketball court to my neighbors and then slide in the pickle ball part on the river action.

Wanna hear a Bad beat on loss value today?

2/5nl. Quad promo pays $700. Line up is 8/10 ev scale. 8/10 on gamble. Great afternoon game!

How does this Purple Hair out of towner ($600 stack) check trips otr????? One of the nittiest checks I’ve seen this year!

$20straddle from the guy they call Outlaw.
Outlaw been straddling $20 the whole game and driving all the action. This time he checks his option on the straddle, and we see a flop 4 way.

We got red ducklings in mp w $1k

4 way to the flop.
J29dd
I Ch/call $75 from OutofTowner.
Hu turn Ax
Ch/ch
Jx otr.
Check w intentions of going for the chraise. Out of towner either has missed diamonds and betting serves no purpose. Let her bluff river.
OR,
Jack is a great card for her and she bets for value.

NEITHER! She fn checks J10!!! Who tf does that?

Still annoyed. Now I wish I wd hv led river for $300!!!

This month everything we make goes to PickleBall Court. Starting November, we must make our $2500 first; then anything on top goes toward PBC.

Still feel we are running behind ev. All gd. No panic. No foreclosures.

What wd u do on the river?

1/3ml $400 effective: whole table straddling $6.

$6 otb. I raise $15 utg w red 44. Prim proper golfer guy to my left, makes it $45. Folds to me, call.

Hu to flop of
Ac Jh 4s
I asked him if he flopped a set yet, and ch/call $60.
Turn Kd
Check/call $80.
River As
Ch. Club Member goes all in for $220.

Not so easy of a call. Grimace call? Tough fold ?

Maybe just fold pre and avoid the situation entirely imo.

i assume he randomized and rolled a raise ().

Rayz,
you've consistently lacked details ITT when reporting HHs and asking for opinions. ALL details matter. opening ranges vary greatly depending on the amount of players involved. opening 44 is a fine open utg when short-handed but not when 10-handed. another very important variable is the 3-betting tendencies of the players left to act after you, specifically players in position. it's as if you don't realize this... if we're going to have a worthwhile discussion about hands you've played, you must provide us with more info. it worries me that you fail to provide this every time and it indicates losing player tendencies. ever since you mentioned going back to playing poker i've been saying to myself that there's no way you're a winning player anno 2023, partly because of this. pay closer attention and prove me wrong!

that said, you'd have to crowbar the full house out of my hands for me to fold it in a live setting with no reads. but yeah, fold pre (pending variables).

I’m never folding pre for $30 more. Especially when scratch golfer’s stack covers the 8/1 implied odds when I flop a set. This is crazy imo. I’ll fold flop or I’m getting all of it. Thought for sure over pair.
This board wasn’t the best imo. Just don’t think I can fold.

How’s this for details??!! In the 1/3nl streets at the boat, 90% of the time these players only 3! 10s+ AK. I 100% put Club Member in that category. How can I not, when he had lowest vpr vpip at the table?

Snap calling any river, but thinking about it on A or K rivers.

Luk soon

JFC bet your own hand. Turn was already checked-through. Why do you assume she'll bet river.

Because I’m thinking missed diamonds or missed straights, and wanted to keep her bluffs in. And, if she was betting the Jack otf, then she 100% has to bet river.

You don’t have to fold pre for $30 more if you fold pre for $0 to start with.
