Sorry @cally I pulled the plug. Trust me, u didn't miss much. Just a corny video experiment. I may do another one in the fall...It wont b any better tho.
Played Sunday, and ended up leaving after what I believe was a bad ruling. I was a little out of my comfort zone after the ruling, so I thought it was best to just walk away.
Heres what happened...Straddle $20 by UTG+2/$700 (fellow known as "Allstate", and loves to gamble. He told me an orbit earlier, that his biggest straddle was $930 on a 5/10/20nhle table. Was raising straddles 50% of the time w a wide range). Im n CO/$500 w A
Q
, its folded to me and decided just call. Button called, and "Allstate" makes it $30 on top ($50total pf). At this point, I wanted to reraise to get heads up and steal position from the button. So I stack up a black and couple greens on top of my 20redbirds, and palm them w my right hand out towards the middle.
While I am pushing them out, "Allstate" runs over the button and says call. Button Folds. I still have my hands on chips (n a palming fashion)! I ask the dealer what the rule is, still w my hand on my chips. He said it is passed the line, and forward motion. I said the line has nothing to do w it, because it doesn't play here. I pull my chips back, and ask for a floor. The floor comes over and says because its forward motion I have to raise, but I am allowed to just raise the minimum if want. I ask him, what if I want to go all in? He said the call is binding. Then I said, I never announced "raise", so why do I have to put a raise in? He said again, forward motion. Then I said, there is know rule here that says I have to raise if I am "palming" out more chips than the bet.
Their shd b some kind of rule, but their isn't! People do it all the time. For example, call a $25 bet while their holding $50 or more in their hand.
My initial plan was to make it $250, but after he snapped called WHILE MY RIGHT HAND WAS STILL PALMING MY CHIPS out in the middle I wasn't for sure. After this I wanted to get a ruling, reassess, and see what my options r. At this point, I think I just want to call if that's an option. I felt call shd hv been an option since people call bets all the time w more money n their hand than the actual bet. But the Floor guy, Doug, ruled I had to at least min raise. So even though I never said "raise",
OR release my hand off my chips, I min raised $30 more. "Allstate" calls and its check down. He wins w 2 pair KQ. After the hand, I rack up.
Yesterday lose-$256
