So the goal's as stated in the title of the thread.

A few years ago I had a mental breakdown and went into full hermit mode, slowly spending my roll (~40k) on living expenses while refusing to leave my apartment. A year and a half or so in I started paying for expenses by playing 1/2 live on the ~2k roll I had remaining. After making what I needed for expenses I'd generally stop playing for the month. In mid April of this year I had the inevitable 10ish bi downswing and got down to $70, a freeroll ticket into a small daily tournament at Planet Hollywood and $4 on WSOP.com. That was enough pressure to get me focused again and after binking the freeroll for a few hundred I started playing online, which for whatever reason I'd convinced myself I couldn't really make a living at. The current roll's at a bit more than 10k and the current hourly's... I dunno what, but after rakeback I’m pretty confident it’s at least 50 an hour 10 tabling small and mid-small stakes (the observed results have been roughly 75/hour over about 41k hands at 0.25/0.50, 38/hour over about 84k hands of .5/1, and 232/hour over about 22k hands of 1/2). My game isn’t as refined as it could be, but I have a good grounding in theory and have been playing as my sole source of income since my late teens (I'm turning 30 today) --- I've just have some pretty gnarly mental problems and have gotten in my own way a lot.

The point of the thread is to keep myself accountable. I'm going to commit to playing 7 ½ hours per day, building up some better habits and keeping my head together. I'll update this thread with a progress report and two new mini-goals for the coming week every Saturday. One goal will be related to poker, one will be related to getting my life in order.

Here are the goals for the first week:

1. Play 7.5 hours every day of the coming week

2. Keep a regular sleep/wake schedule for the whole week. Wake at 7:30, sleep at 12am

I'll update on the 4th.

I've played a bit more than 25k hands and am right around +3k (pre rakeback/bonuses) since the last update.

---

So I accomplished neither goal and got way off track for the last two weeks or so. My sleep schedule got turned around and then I just started climbing the walls for a while. Going to try again though; had my first session in a while today, and I'm hoping I can reset my sleep schedule tonight.

The goals for this upcoming week are the same as the last with a couple of minor tweaks:

1. Play 7.5 hours every day except for Tuesday of the coming week

2. Keep a regular sleep/wake schedule and maintain a decent diet

I also have a sort of subgoal of working on misclicks while playing too, as I think I may be costing myself as much as 2bb/100 given the frequency with which I make them and how significant some of the spots are. Seems like low-hanging fruit. If anyone has any advice on how to cut down on those that'd be helpful.

---

Going to try to make a habit of posting my worst hand from the week prior -- with the possible exception of a pretty bad misclick this is the worst over the last three week period (amounts are in bb's and rounded, wsop doesn't save hh's):

hunl, hero is bb, 100bb effective stacks
hero has 8d7s

preflop
2.5x call

flop As8s7d (5bb)
check, check

turn 3c (5bb)
1.5, 8, call

river Ac [21bb]
check, 42, 89.5ai, call

Villain had 33 and snapped. I feel like the jam is just terrible. If I remember right Pio had it at about -4.5bb or so, but in practice I suspect it's losing in excess of 60bb. The reg in question underbluffs this spot pretty dramatically and really only ever has 33 or A3 for value. Depending on how I think he's reacting/constructing his overbet range I don't mind using the 83s or some portion of the 73s's, or some 3xss or some Ax that I don't think I can call with but which unblocks whatever he's using to bluff with... but using 87 here is just awful. I just saw counterfeited two pair and flicked it in, completely spaced on the flop action and how the guy was really doing things. All I can say in my defense is that I was dealing with disconnects as the hand was playing out and was sort of flustered. Still garbage play though.

---

I'll update again next week.
