What I'm saying is don't give up on yourself because it didn't work on your second shot. Moving up takes time. The ones who make it in poker are not the most talented ones, but the ones that persevere the most and the ones that have mental toughness.

You can go check the period from September 2016 till March 2017 in my old PGC. You'll find plenty of posts where I tell how my shot take went miserably at 500z.

Best of luck
Oh really, yeah the tough reality. I have done multiple shots throughout my time but I guess this one hurts the most monetary wise.

Thanks for the support! I will continue to work hard, like I said I think the best thing to do now is focus on 200nl and smash out the 1million hands for 2018.

Can't remember if it was in this thread or in one of your videos (or on a comment?) but somewhere I remember you mentioning that small pockets don't actually play all too well when you're deep and I was wondering what exactly you meant by that

I actually agree in a sense, 22-66 seem to play best when you're between 80 and 120 BBs. I feel like it's difficult to take down huge (350-400 BB) pots with "just" bottom set unless you're putting in a ton of money preflop, and if that much money goes in the middle there's a good chance you're getting coolered. Meanwhile if you're 100 BB deep it's not too unusual to get into the "bottom set vs. TPTK" situation and villain will probably play it a little looser

Is that what you meant?

KQo hand is pretty lul but nothing surprising coming from that pool honestly.

44 hand good fold, seem like he made it bit easier.

Also sucks you ended up running bad at the end of stream considering you were crushing for awhile, at one point you had 1k stack and 250bb another. I would suggest really sticking to 2 hour max, even if you take an hour break in between. I noticed myself when grinding in 200z pool awhile back that I could run fairly good for bit of time then after a certain point its almost like
the doom switch hits and no matter what I hand I have or how I play it I get stacked. It is always hard to just quit a session especially when things have been going good, but for you its almost like the inevitable run bad will always hit and when it does it erases nearly all progress/profit.

Anyways.... Suggest maybe even setting a reminder on your phone at 2hr mark or something?

Yea this is true. I guess for the sake of the stream 2 hours seems too short. I feel like 3 is pretty good.

If I am off stream, I can comfortably end my session after 2 hours.

100k Hand Challene #2

Like I said before, I am going to halt the road to 500nl series for the next month or so. I have been studying some parts of my game that need improvement (BB and Button) and want to try/experiment some new stuff. Since I am going to be changing my strategy a little bit I thought it would make sense to put in a decent sample size at 200nl (where I am most comfortable) to see if my winrates will improve in these positions following the changes.

Conditions:

This time I am not going to have a prop bet/strict time condition. This challenge will also not be exclusive to the zone tables.

- Commence today 20/8/18
- 100k hands at both zone and regular
- Aim to complete by September 26th 2018
- A highlights video once every 2 days
- Stream at least once a week for 2 hours.

I want to reward myself for this volume challenge by going on a few weeks vacation to somewhere and play some live poker. At the moment I am thinking Melbourne and then maybe go somewhere else that has a decent live poker scene (anywhere less than 10 hours travel distance to Australia) - suggestions or recommendations would be much appreciated.

yeah I've heard great things about Canberra's casino. I still think the guys down in Tasmania have got it down though. Not only do they have free water but they also have this amazing new invention called air conditioning

I understand for the sake of the stream but if it costing you $ than forget the stream, also considering its probably -EV already by losing focus and what not.
I very much enjoy the content you have been putting out on both YT & twitch however not at the cost of your profits lol. Good luck on the next challenge, hopefully many more YT vids to come in the near future also.

Yes this is true. I definitely will cap my stream or at least playing for 2 hours. Yt volume content should be high. I took the day off to do some videos for observation deck which I will upload through out the week. I will also be posting videos nearly daily if I can for 100k hand challenge. I will post daily for 100k hand challenge. Will use same format as last time. i.e.

[Day]
[Graph]
[Hands/100k]
[Winrate]

100k Hand Challenge - Day 1

Slight delay in posting. My net kept cutting out last night when I tried to upload video and graph.

Graph for Day 1:

Hands of the day:

Hands: 5,034/100,000
Winrate: -2.26bb/100

Let me know if there is anything you guys want me to include (like hours played, mental rating for sessions, overall graph of challenge or just the day's graph etc etc)

Think for the end of video should include the following:
*Profit$ for session ( not in bb ) & Profit$ for challenge overall
*Hands played during session & overall
*Also liked the bluff/punt of the day last challenge and just adding more big pots even if standard stuff/coolers and big bluffs and interesting hands overall just makes it more enjoyable to watch.

An interesting thing would be to add something like the tip/advice "of the day" at the end of each video. Anything that comes to mind that you could talk about 1-2 minutes (interactive/visual or not) , random aha moments or specific strategy insights, or mental breakthroughs, any recommendation that could be of use for micro/small stakes players or any player for that matter.
Keep up the good work, best of luck!

[100k hand Challenge Days 2&3]

Graph for Day 2 & 3 :

Not much volume on Day 2 so I combined both days for this post/video.

Hands of the Day:

Hands:11,748
Winrate: -1.79bb/100

I've done most of these ideas above. I didn't have a good punt to post so hopefully for tomorrows video I might have one.

I tried to include a recap of the day(s) at the beginning of the video. Let me know if this should be done at the end or to keep at the beginning. Also thanks mate.

F that royal flush bonus, I have claimed 2 now from Bovada/Ignition and I swear after collecting both times I went on the ugliest downswing both times very shortly afterwards. lol call me superstitious but last time I got royal I didn't even bother claiming the bonus, and no downswing occurred. So just my personal experience, I think the bonus was for $100 (50bbs) and I ended up going on 10+ BI downswings after, simple math no more claiming bonus money for me ha.

*insert anecdote from many others that say whenever they interact with ignition support they go on massive downswings i.e. withdrawals, hand histories etc

i'm starting to feel like it's less tinfoil hat and more a legitimate thing
