5nlz shot:

I'm moving down to grind 2nlz again for a while, BR~$100 plus ~1k starscoin.

2nlz for challenge so far:

I deposited a tiny bit extra before taking shot at 5nlz, is where extra money comes from.
Obv. sad that i ran below aiev @5nl but i guess that's what happens when you take small BI shots

-if you start to have a loosing session do you have plans to up n leave or just keep grinding it out?

i play 2 tables atm. was playing 4 tables for most of my sessions so far but I found it too hard to think through all my decisions properly.

each session i try to put in about 1 hour which is ~420 hands for 2 tables. Often have a few sessions a day.

I try not to let short term results determine how long my sessions are. However if I drop like 5BI from session peek I'll usually take a break.

There is alot of great info throughout this forum for "moving up through uNL"

find some hand charts, print them off and look at them when needed to while playing just a couple of table, after awhile you will sorta know what hands to play pre flop, then start learning flop plays n so forth! helped me alot but then again im back to the same stakes as you right now

lol? winrate so far ~8bb/100. this isn't really a bankroll challenge mate

goal is just to be winning at mid stakes asap. if you have the money and the skill to play 5nl it seems silly to play 2nl...

Yep, specially the fact that rake is killing you at them small stakes. You're probably better off depositing about $300 and start grinding 10z.

Btw, you made me wanna continue my PCG, so let's see who gets to 200z quicker

rake is actually higher at 10nlz than 2nlz tbf. I should just depo 10k and jump right into 200z

ya gl bro, ill check out your challenge

Thanks dude. Now that I'm properly rolled (kind of) for 5nlz I think my short term goals are similar to what you said in your thread:

Quote:
Goals for the coming weeks are to keep up with the studying, to stick to 2 tables (however much my trigger finger's itching) and to not tilt
I've been playing 4 tables for all of my 5nlz shots which I think is pretty stupid for me esp. when my thought process is still so unformed. 2 tables + less tilt + more study is the plan now.

Since my recent posts have been spam I'm going to do a more proper update.

First up, since the beginning of the challenge, tournament and sit&go graph (NLHE):

this is missing omaha and mixed game tournaments which I ran really well in.

and NLHE MTT BB graph:

also NLHE STT BB graph:

(seriously **** satellites and any STT hyper-turbo...)

My plan now

New goals:
  • play 30k hands at 5nlz
  • playing 2 tables always
  • go over hands
  • don't spam my PGC until played at least 10k hands
  • don't play any tourneys for at least a week

summary of goals: trying to take poker a little more seriously, and to get an idea of where I'm at in 5nlz

I found a way to get accurate tourney and sit&go results challenge-to-date, including mixed games:

Epic heater in the MTTs! The pokergods are apparently trying to lure you over to the dark side (away from cashgames). With a bit (or rather a lot) of rungood, tourneys can definitely be faster ways to increase your bankroll. You'll probably never have another week like this one, so enjoy it while you can!

For sure dude. They're trying very hard to lure me but there's a 0% chance of my leaving cash games. Run good was absolutely insane. I said it was top 0.1% run-good even before I binked the hyper-turbo . As you hinted at, the main thing is that I'm now comfortably rolled for 5nl and will be able to take shots at 10nl if 5nl goes well.

Another bonus is that my family is now less against how much time I spend on poker now... even though I explain that my real ROI is probably <30% (as opposed to the ~1000% ROI I've had in scheduled tournaments challenge-to-date)

I believe the technical term is "clicking buttons"

With graphs like that + decent rolli think you should definitly focus on nl5. Looks like your missing value by not
