Hey all,

why there are no short deck blogs here? Is the game dead or not popular at all?

I`m playing the ante 2 tables at GG poker and started a few days ago. The game is kinda fun, high variance paired with bad players and ultra high rake. Studied a lot the last days to get a basic understanding of the different equities compared to normal nl.

will post graphs, interesting hands and my own chart where I note stuff like winnings, rake, rakeback...

here´s my graph after the first few hands, fish on a heater ^^
ev is not working correctly on gg, as you are consistantly shoving and it starts calculating when all of the involved players are all in...

my excel chart.
Paying 30 ante rake on average per 100 hands. kinda gross. but getting more then 100% rakeback is the standard... Leaderboard and especially flush (and quad) jackpots is paying a lot of rake back. shitty pvi fishh buffet and affiliate comes on top, but thats not worth mentioning

here´s a fun hand, pre all in, I got 9Ts and was flamed by the AK guy how lost Iam....
I was last to act and call the all in. 28% is nice, with rake it´s break even i guess, could´nt let it go anyways ^^

Will post updates regularly. Playing on phone only, so I´m 4-tabling. Couldnt stand more tables anyway as there is so much action and youre pushing stacks in the mid all day long. Would be nice if any 6+ foks come around here so we can talk and discuss

edit: can´t post the pics that they are shown here. hmm, ok

GL mate.
Seems like 6+ is not completely dead. There are games running on PS and i have never faced any problems to find 4 running tables of NL10-NL50.

However, 6+ is not a very popular game among bloggers

I see
Kinda rough days for german grinders due to the new regulation which is live since yesterday. You can only play 4 tables, there is funny stuff like a panic button you can press and then you can´t play for 24 hours... Deposit limit of 1k per month and other stuff, quick seating for all games, no more slots (good for me ^^)

That doesnt affect me at all as I play app only and there was a max tables regulation of 4 in the app anyway... Within the app, there arent any changes at all until now, curious if something will change there as well in the future.

here is my actual graph. doing quite well, running good and collecting many flush jackpots + leaderboard prices

https://ibb.co/smVChGr

rake is absurd high. paid 26,55$ in rake which is 26,44 bb / 100.
Got back through rakeback 29,02 $ which is 109% rakeback
net wins are after rake are 14,50$ so I made twice as much through rb than table wins...
which makes me up all together 42,55 $ in my first week.

quite satisfied with the results, still a lot to improve. atm watching the 6+ channel on youtube + katrinsaufens channel, funny guy.

little update.
didn´t play that much during the weekend, which is quite normal for me. family first.
started the grind yesterday and can still say that 6+ is so much fun, lot of action and fish nearly on every table. spent a little bit of time at work and made myself a graph out of my excel sheet I´m running. Graphs at GG are without rake so quite meaningless considering the high amount of rake you pay. Thats why I´ve made my own graph. Much love for Excel ^^ The graph shows my net wins, my rakeback and my total wins. running at 13,5 ante /100 all togeher.

here´s the pic, I don´t know why it wont show the pic embedded. Any help`?

upswing time. juicy times during the weekend when a few of the NL players come along. 18 stacks up within 6 hours of playtime. can't wait to climb up and play ante 5 tables.

Nice! I just started playing short deck 2nl a couple of days ago, and its fun, but Im very confused about the game. Down 10 BI. Do you know some good learning resources?

There arent that many learning spots but you should definetly have a look at sixplusholdem.com. There you can find many helpful basic articles about the game. There is a YouTube channel as well with many good informations, session reviews and stuff like that. Another great source is the twitch and youtube channel of katrinsaufen (weird name ^^). He streams games up to Ante 200 and explains a bit.

With these informations you should have a big edge at most of the other players. There are a few that kinda know how to play 6+, especially on GG, but for most of the ppl they make such horrible mistakes... Take care of different playstyles with 50 and 1ßß+ antes...

You should really take a look at the equities compared to NL, it´s a total different game. I started playing with 50 Antes, easier to learn and you often just push into the middle and collect dead money...

here´s a hand where you can see the shifted equities compared to NL, pre flop all in

all time grahp since starting on 9th of Oct. Need to increase volume if I want to get thorugh the limits

thanks
the adventure continues...
Played on Ante 2 from the start with a starting br of 125 for the last 20 days. Left the limit with a profit of 90 bucks. So I`m sitting on 215 bucks and started to play Ante 5, buy in short with 50 antes... 86 stacks which is dangerous for short deck but I hope for the best
Will move up asap and playing Ante2 is waisting time.

Ran well, always nice on a new limit. Hopefully I can establish on the new limit. Leaderboard is a lot better, far less points needed for a nice amount of extra dollar. Rake seems a bit higher than on Ante 2, so my rb will reduce a bit. And still on a lil downswing with the flush jackpots =/ all together now on 88% rakeback

here´s my all time self made graph with seperate lines for rb and winnings

all time graph on GG without rake

start on new limit Ante 5

non related poker stuff if someone is interested
I`m moving into a new flat. Atm me, my wife and our 2 kids are living in a 2 room app. kinda tight. Luckily we´ve found a 5 room app in a 3 family house which is affordable and very cheap for a big city with high high rents. We´re paying like 50% discount as we know the owner. Alltogether its 1300 € for 120qm... It´s the house where my wife was raised and my mother in law still lives there (for like 25 years). So we know the owner for a long time.

It comes with a garden + wintergarten. Bad part of it is that it´s still full with furniture of the old lady who lived there and we gotta take care of all that... So for the last 4 weeks I keep dismounting closets, cutting carpets, buying new stuff, painting walls... Still able to play 2-3 hours of poker during my way to work but kinde feel dead every evening falling into my bed.... But all worth it. Will psot some before after pics when the mess is all cleaned up, the woman who lived there rlly was a hoarder ^^

---------------

one of the best things in the new app is that I can finally get my sneaker wall. I´m a huge sneakerhead, fallen in love with the adidas ultraboost My wife and me both got well paid jobs, I ran a side hustle as well and we are able to afford everyting we want and save a good amount every month (which we pay for renovation right now )

I´m just not cool with buying 1-2 pairs of expensice sneaker every month just for my feelings, what a nonsense... (ok, that are her words, we argued a lot about my 5 pairs I already own...) So I need one lil extra part of income, that comes from poker. I can do whatever I want with that money and buy pointless stuff

So I want to take the poker money to buy shoes My goal is to establish on Ante 10 and cash out every month to buy a sneaker here and there. The limited pairs go up to 1000 bucks, but the normal price is around 180€, you can cop a few for 80 on sale... My room should look like this (this is not my pic)
