Yea so hard trying to close the client down. Might buy tiltbreaker so I don't carry on till stupid times when I'm stuck.

cant go too far wrong with a 12 hr exclusion when you start to tilt if ur on stars, I did it tonight cos im having a few drinks. i think its plus ev as I tend to play more when im tilting losing so I just self exclude for a few hrs and the pressure is off.

Yea I self exclude if i know I'm going out drinking, just never can bring myself to do it mid session if I'm down or starting to tilt.

Been getting in better volume recently, like 100 games/day 1 tabling. Back to uni next monday so gonna have to grind hard over next week cos my volume will drop off soon. Played a ton of regs (I'd guess >80% is v regs) over past few days though but pretty happy with how I've been playing.

Nice thread, good luck with your goals.

I'll be on Stars playing 30/60 hypers in June, moving over from the Revolution network. How many games per hour would you say is possible at these stakes on stars?

If you are mixing stakes you can pretty much get as many as you want in. Lobbies at $30s move quick so you can pretty much 4 table non stop if you want. At $60s your volume depends a lot on whether you're willing to sit weaker regs or not. If you just wanna wait in line then you won't get that many games (but if you mix in $30s you will be fine) but if you sit lots of people then you can still get good volume there as well.

Thanks for the input.

How weak are you talking? There are tons of different leaks that can be profitable to play against, but some are more high variance and time consuming to realize edge.

Also, I'm sure I'll get all the action I can handle the first few weeks at 60's since I'm not a well known or established reg yet.

Well the weaker regs who get lobby respect are still good players with no glaring leaks , just stuff like too high a discrepancy between flop and turn c-bet or doing certain stuff with no thought as to how it effects their range in other spots. None of them are just giving away money though or they'd be getting sat to death by the other regs.

Yea at $60s you'll get a ton of action to start with from lots of different regs until you prove yourself to an extent.

Whats a good source for a mtt & SNG player to specialise a bit more into HU hypers?

Best of threads in HUSnG forum and HUSnG.com has plenty of stuff to get you started. Then you just need to do work on end game jamming/calling ranges and things like 3-bet shoving ranges v villains opening with different frequencies.

Bad few days in terms of ev, good in terms of money I guess though, still annoying with how many coolers I was getting, esp in end game v regs. Also bad volume since sharky won't work and I can barely grind without it, just been sitting pretty much all regs over these games, should probably stop doing that though. Almost time for another $60s shot but feel like I'm not playing good recently so even if I hit 6.6k I might wait another 10bis before taking shot.

Fun day, was up from 4am till 11am playing a fish non stop, he finished down $700 in the end and I eventually declined cos I could barely see the cards anymore and my HUD was just a big blur. Played a few $60s at end of the day and will be playing more over the next few days whilst I have over 6k in my account, time to try and earn some lobbies I guess.

very frustrating few days, played some spots pretty badly and every float seemed to go wrong, should probably be thankful I didn't lose more.

how many BI rule are you using moving up hypers also how many BI do you think is enough for regular $30 turbo games?

I was using 50/35 but I'm going for a more conservative one of at least 100bi now, I want to have enough of a roll that when I move up I am comfortable playing regs until they stop sitting me. for turbos I'd probs use like a 30/25 brm

Guess I need to move up to $60s soon, enjoying feeling nice and over-rolled for $30s though with no pressure. Don't want to move up to $60s till I'm ready to battle anyone that sits me so want a nice cushion to fall back on.

BR: $7034 that's well over 100 BI move up but i understand it is nice not having to look at cashier all the time when over-rolled, i think i read some talk about 200 BI for hu hypers does this seem to over-rolled?

You really think 3O BI is enough for turbos? I was told 100 for turbos but others have said it way to much so still not sure tbh.

depends on what stakes you play and whether you need to withdraw for life expenses as to whether 200bi is over-rolled. I could move up now but I think it's better to keep winning at $30s then move up with a bigger roll so I can play regs at the start and deal with the swings rather than them being able to move me down by causing me a bit of a downswing.

It depends on your edge tbh, if you are a 2% winner than I'd use more conservative brm, if you can crush then 30bis will be fine.

I used the same BRM, way more satisfying than shifting levels constantly IMO. Also makes the inevitable negative variance hurt less

GL with the grind! Think I played you at FTP a while back

I like shifting levels earlier on though, kept the grind far more interesting. Only recently where I think I can make decent money playing $30s so should build up there and then it also becomes hard for $60s regs to move me down when I am very well rolled for the stakes.

ty, yea you probably did, what was your sn there?

For sure, big difference between having nitty BRM at 30s and 3.5s :P

Pizzica, I ran awful there grinding out the bonus and moved on.

Have you tried setting sharky to mix in 30s and 60s? You end up playing about 85% 30s because the wait lists are much shorter but I found it a good way to incorporate 60s into the grind
shooting for the high stakes (HU hypers - from s to 00s) Quote
04-23-2013 , 10:58 AM
Yea just checked you did play me on ftp at one $60 game.

Yea I've tried that with sharky. But then i found I really lose concentration in $30s when a $60 game comes up. Also when a $60 game comes up I like to be able to concentrate so I can really pay attention. I think i just prefer having a set amount that I'm willing to lseo and then moving back down when I have lsot that
