Brief summary of my poker history and what to expect in this thread:

31 years old, started playing cards around 2003-2004. Used to play online a fair bit, was never a superstar but was consistently profitable. Have always preferred to play tournaments/SNGs online while sticking to live cash games.

I used to have a lot more free time and for a 2 year period I was logging lots and lots of live hours at the casino (mostly 1/2nl but towards the end I was playing 2/5nl). Definitely not a noobie at live cash but in the past 2 years I have started a new career and my playing time has dropped significantly. I might go a few months these days without playing at all.

What I would like to do is use this thread as motivation to put in more hours and to get my game as sharp as it used to be (and better). I have found that when I am playing recently I am just going through the motions.

I have a dedicated bankroll separate from my real life expenses of about $14,000 (over-rolled alert!). I would like to play 500 hours in the next 12 months. I would like to make 10k in profit in the next 12 months. Closest casino is 1.75 hours away and I no longer get free rooms so a good portion of this is going to have to come from area home games but that's pretty much the only way I can play during the work week.

Please feel free to question/comment, I think some input would help with my motivation. Hoping to play at least 2 nights this week and have a trip to casino scheduled for this upcoming Friday.

Stats for first week or so:
Sessions: 5
Hours: 23:25
Total Won $880.00
