I'll tell you my secret. Grind like crazy mofo. 60 hours a week for 8 months and you will find two - three guys like him. Huge shocker, right?



Today I felt helplessness when I was running dead for 3 hours. I need to make more breaks because I start leveling after long time of running dead. Anyway tomorrow I am gonna post my weekly graph and I'll post my overall with my hourly.

This post is so dumb, you really think one hand can accurately gauge how close someone is to becoming a professional? You know there is a big difference between being good at poker and being good at making money via poker? Would you really look at a hand Jungleman played badly and say "wow, time to give it up". If we all played our A-game 100% of the time, poker would be too easy.

Everyone has rough patches, especially the best players but that's part of poker, and life.

Also, who are you to decide on the OP's future? Sure make suggestions if you think he needs them but literally telling him to move on from poker is just incredibly naive and makes you look like a douche.

You are definitely right about this. Someone can be tilted and play hand badly. Still I think I played this hand completely fine. I think guys like revolio* are also needed. I mean I won't quit because someone said I should. I would rather say “**** you I'll do it”. I mean because of him I checked my results by numbers and I wasn't happy. So I start searching and changing things until I get results like that.

I have been helping my roommate to become a huge mofo. We have been train together at the gym and I have been helping him to keep a healthy diet. I never thought teaching would be something I would like to do. I was soooo wrong. Firstly I really enjoy doing this, secondly I learn a lot myself too, while doing it. Hence I decided to start coaching. Also I think my results are good enough to start coaching:

I excluded from the graph my results from French rooms were I managed only to make a small profit due to an excessively high rake (23bb/100 on nl50 and 18bb+/100 on nl100) I still managed to make a profit there ( and even more with rakeback). Honestly I haven't seem better results from French rooms due to the rake (seriously it is insane).

Also life update. I was so ****in' bored with those quests where I was only talking with chicks. I changed something today. I've been walking and talking with one random chick for 5 min, she was Russian <3 I asked her out for coffee. She's in long term relationship so I even don't bother. Still I am mega happy that I asked her out. It's been a while since I was straightforward and I definitely love it and I missed that feeling.

Everything seems working better and better. I am very happy about it.

Thanks dude! Right now I am playing up to nl200 but I'll give it a shoot to nl400 this week. I used to play nl50 moslty for last few months because I was a bit scaried of money. I get rid of that fear and faced it and since last month I am adding much more of nl200 tables and play with some regs there. I want to get up even higher because I think I am ready for it. I'll send you PM with more info Coaching is something new for me, as I wrote I didn't thought it is something I want to do but I was so wrong and I want to give it a shot and see the reulsts

To be honest I don't know. I didn't track them ealier. Right now we try to make 2 sessions (30 min – 1h a week) I used to have 1 session a week and even less often in the past. It was random so I don't know. Right now it's pretty good and we have at least 2 sessions a week. Thanks for nice words!


I am a fish in building life gameplans. I am doing week plans for half a year or something and I still do the same mistake over and over again. Every week I want to achieve too much. It's kind of funny that I do much faster progress in 3 years than I thought is even possible but I fail at weekly goals. My yearly goals are not so bad but still I am suck at weekly goals. I work like 60-70h weekly not only on poker related things and I still only do 70-80% of things that I was expecting.

I am testing new ways of building plans. I'll give myself more freedom to chose when to do something and I'll try to reduce some things that I am doing and aren't essential for my outcome. This week is special and I am very curious how good I'll handle it. If everything's will go according to plan I'll have more free time, I will be happier and my results should be only a bit smaller.

Was procrastinate until now doing session rev. I did it and what's most funny I have few ideas and can't wait to do it tomorrow even though I usually hate it. It's mega ****ing boring and right now I have few stuff to check to build my gameplan. It takes a lot of very similar spots. I watch like 200-1000 of very similar spots doing notes and counting to build my gameplan and improve my game. I think you can't stop being nerd and you will always do stuff nerd way xD

What won't get you far imo is that you love money, not the game. All you talk about is money and results, doing anything poker relates boreees you.

Biggest names in poker are first and foremost IN LOVE with the game. As Ivey or galfond said, they think about hands, about the game at all times. It's like a girlfriend. Money is just a bonus.

I rather like approach of Dusty and Jungleman. I love poker, I am obsessed with it, don't worry about it. There were some awkward moments like: after sex I was thinking: "hmmm this sex was awesome, I feel so good that I think I can handle more badbeats than usual, yeah now I'll definitely exploit the hell out of them". I love this game but it does not matter because I committed myself for this game. I am HUNDRED percent COMMITTED and this is what matter, not love.

How watching 120 similar spots can be excited? It's just freaking boring. How doing math analyses can be interesting? Working on poker skill is boring. Biggest names ALWAYS are committed for hundred percent and ALWAYS do thinks they have to do, it does not matter they like it or not. Find me someone who can't wait to play 50 hours a week and analyse his game for another 10 to 20 hours. Those people don't exists. You can love this game but to become great you have to be obsessed with it. Very simple example I love gym, I ****ing love it and I can't live without exercise. I love watching bunch of meatheads with dumbbells but I will never ever be great in bodybuilding. I may be pretty good, better than most people but I will never ever be great.

It's part of my life not my obsession and something I want to commit. I train hard, I eat a lot and keep diet but it does not matter because if I have to chose between something I will always chose poker. I mean I won't give up 4 training days a week but I may don't keep as good diet while grinding. I may sleep less then I should to grow up like huge mofo because I have to play for 20 hours. I love both of those things but I will never ever be as good at gym as I am going to be at poker. Love change nothing, commitment change everything. I think you get my point now.

Btw some chicks will always amaze me. Today I should meet with one chick. She told me she will let me know early in the morning, she didn't so I sent her SMS 4 hours before meeting. It was something like "hey, so we see each other?", she replied "I am sleeping", "ok, but do we see each other?", she replied some **** after 2h. I even didn't care because someone else called me and we were talking "hmm I don't know I can meet today because in theory I should meet with someone else but she didn't replay so I need to ask her again, hmmmm... or you know what? **** her, ok I'll be at your place for around 3h".

I left my phone in the locker at the gym. When I came back I saw 54 SMS and 2 missed phone calls. I thought WTF spam bot or WTF, then I saw 53 SMS was from her. All of the sudden she want to hang out. I thought **** her, if it's such a huge problem to set up a meeting then she's not right for me, I replied some ****ty SMS saying nothing about meeting. Then after 2-3 hours she sent me "It's good we didn't meet, I really want to meet with you but you didn't answer my phone calls so I went back home and prepare blah blah blah", I replied: "good for you " and even didn't read the whole message. I am so freaking confuse with her behavior, I think she merge her interest range She try to be hard to exploit so she mix her range of interest xD

Pretty funny day. After that I did break from poker, was afraid I'll play bad after this or something because it happens in 10 min or so. I instaled HON was playing like 6 hours straight and i unistall this **** otherwise I wouldn't grind poker I am such a fish in those games now xD I used to have stats like 10-3 kill to death ratio now I have rather 3-10 xD

Haha no way. I have too big BR to go broke in few days. I would go down to nl200 then to nl100 then to nl50 then I would go broke. Were on downswing and was doing stupid regs battle on nl400.

Had stupid good mode. I am just moron, I shooted nl400 and was playing with regs there >_< 4 days of high variance and highly exhausting emotional play for nothing. Even though I think about myself as smart person sometimes I do so stupid things......

Today was talking with friend of mine and he told me that I am probably tilting not because of downswing but because I can't adapt well. Nl400 is probably wall where I have to look at my game and try to negate everything I know and I do. Franek was right with it. Even if it's just downswing and not luck of skill nothing will happen. If it was just downswing and I'll improve my game my earnings will improve. If it's luck of my skill after two-three weeks I'll start crushing again but even higher limits. This week I'll check everything I'll work a lot on my game and I'll also work a lot with HM and database, I'll reread my notes etc. Also I need to work on my mindset because I have some fear issue when it comes to playing optimal. I am glad that shooting on nl400 end not that good because I will check everything once again.

Also a lot of people want coaching so this week I am gonna work like crazy mofo

Had session with Gordon and it seems it was mainly mindset problem, again I have phobia that everyone's trying to bluff me out of my hand. Will focus mostly on my mindset in next two weeks

Today at Polish I found a topic where you should write about your succes in 2013 and you can win some small awards, it's nothing much but I thought "what the hell" for those of you who know Polish:


For rest only graph and my reflections. I realized that I moved out from home at the very first time in March last year and I was grinding nl4 HU for living. Lately I shoot nl400 even though it wasn't that good it's still 10 times higer stakes then I was starting with. More than that in March 2014 I'll probably move out to Thailand. I also have 16bb/100 winarate on sample more than 100k hands. When I think about all of that I want to punch myself in face... with chair.... Last weekend I thought I am sa bad at this game, I achieved nothing, I am a failer and I doubt at myself. I rarely think about what I achieved I mostly focus on things I still want to achieve. That's why when I have some bad times I give myself very hard times.

Srsly sometimes I want to hurt myself for doing that. Even thought I don't have any reason to I give myself hard times, when something is not perfect as I planed. If we add to poker related things that I fall in love, I improve my apperance a lot I gained muscle and strenght. I met fantastic people and befriend with them, I improved my English a lot, improved my earnings, I improved my work ethic, I improved a lot my self-disciplne and in a year since I start playing HU poker I'll probably move in to another conitnet to chase my childhood dreams about traveling I can say this year was pretty awesome. It was just ****ing great and I don't know why the hell I wasn't happy with it.

I am verry happy with today. I was working a lot with databse it's borring as hell but still I have to do it every once in a while. This week I will work more on theory then usuall. I want to rewatch Gordon HU Mastermind just from pure couriosity, I am courius how much different I'll see his movies with expierence I ve earned. In next two weeks I'll also work more on my mindset because I need to improve it.

Also I forgot that from knowing nothing about HU poker I start coach other poeple and it seems I am pretty good at it because people I did coach want to take another sessions with me and work with me in the longrun.
