POKER PROJECT - FROM FREEROLL TO HERO

Welcome to my poker journey. In this blog I want to share my journey from freerolls to building a bankroll and moving up in stakes. My goal is to enjoy the process, learn from my mistakes and become a better poker player.
My bankroll is $0.00 and my plan is the following to move up the stakes step by step and build a $1,000 bankroll.


Bankroll Stakes
Step 1: $0 - Freerolls
Step 2: $40 - NL2
Step 3: $125 - NL5
Step 4: $300 - N10
Step 5: $1000 - NL25

Rules:

1) Take a shot when I reach the bankroll for each stake.
2) If I lost 5 buy ins I move down in stakes.
3) Repeat.

As someone who started playing poker at 18 (wink, wink), I can tell you if you have any disposable income building a bankroll from freerolls is a waste of time (probably like 20 cent hourly if lucky). It's probably not the best way to learn the game and you'll likely develop bad habits.

That said, I wish you well on your journey.

GL, bankroll management plan looks solid but I agree on skipping the freeroll part if possible.

At NL2-10 a big part of your winrate will be from getting maximum value with strong hands (and getting all-in when your hand's worth it), and not folding top pair in most spots while the fish spew off.

I am back to start the challenge. I will be starting today and i will be also streaming the action on my twitch channel so you can watch it live.

My plan is to play freerolls on GG poker and 888 poker to build up a bankroll to start playing 6 max cash games and maybe some MTTs.

Also, GG is giving away everyday a free ticket of $0.25 for Spin & Gold or Battle Royale and every Saturday a free ticket of $1.00, so makes my challenge in first step a little easy.

Hi guys!

October has end and I have an update on days 13 to 39 of my "From Freeroll to Hero" challenge.

Currently my bankroll is as follows:

GG: $18.57
888: $73.44
ACR: $0.70
Total Bankroll: $92.71

Below a breakdown of my results:



I will split my bankroll for cash games and MTTs.

Cash games Bankroll: $40.00

I now have the bankroll to move to step 2 which is the cash game 6-max NL2.

If my bankroll reaches $125.00 I will move to NL5.

MTTs Bankroll: $52.71

I will continue to play freerolls to increase my MTT bankroll and add some MTTs up to $1.10.
