Game ended up playing as a 5/5/10 because there wasn’t enough interest for the 10/20. I was actually kinda glad lol. The game sucked though - started 7 handed with me, 4 good regs, a bad reg, a businessman who was playing very solid, and a recreational who plays unconventionally but not horrible. We were down to 4 handed within 2 hours, just me and the regs, including the bad reg so I stayed.

Have some interesting hands to post later, but for now I’ll just post results: 3 hours, +$1830

I always used bitcoin. No fee, unless btc takes a hit in the middle of the night lol. In terms of taxes I pay a minimum of 19.5% (13% to social security and 6.5% to medicare). On top of that I pay federal/state income tax so it gets expensive pretty quick.

Great trip so far. Two sessions at 5/10, 9 hours total, +$5250. Some really interesting hands to share, just won’t be on my laptop for a few hours. Will update tonight hopefully

Yo, how long you in town for? Didn't see you yesterday. Don't know what you look like but didn't see any new young guy at the tables. Everybody's a damn reg at the Commerce. I think I'll be at the Bike tomorrow.

I was looking around, but I didn't see you. I did play weird hours (12am - 5am and 11:30am to 4:30pm). I'm here until next wednesday though, let's smoke a joint man.

Alright guys, I promised some hands but I don't wanna do a write up when I'm not in the mood. Ends up being succinct and not as fun to read. Definitely will post them though - there was a $2k+ pot I butchered and a 3k pot I think I could've gotten away from, as well as some other really weird lines in smaller pots.

Off to smoke some weed with a friend who happens to be here in LA at the same time as me, then headed to Commerce for my paycheck

Haha I played from like 5 to midnight yesterday. We passed each other like two ships in the night. Headed to the Bike today but I'll be at Commerce tomorrow =D. Good luck!

For sure, I'll see you at the commerce tomorrow. gl

+$1850 at Hawaiian Gardens 5/5 and 5/10, an hour of each and pretty much equal winnings at each. running great so far. Taking the night off to get a nice dinner and some drinks with the friend who's in town. Will hopefully post hands later

I played the 5/10/20 once. Yeah, they’re horrible besides the 2-3 regs who tend to play. I’m in the lineup for the 5/5 live stream next Wednesday - will let you guys know if I’m for sure playing a couple days before

My Thursday night session did not go well... I was debating whether I should even play after dinner. Went something like this:

"You're drunk, go home"
"Yeah but I've only had 7 drinks"
"You're drunk, go home"
"Yeah but I ate a big dinner"
"You're drunk, go home"
"Yeah but it's been almost 4 hours since my first drink, I probably won't even feel buzzed by the time I get there"
"You are drunk. Go to home, do not pass casino. Do not lose $200."
"Yeah but I'm probably +ev when I'm drunk."
*goes to casino*
*loses $2200*

Yesterday I only put in 5 hours at the 5/10. Games were terrible compared to the weekdays imo. Ran well and played well though, +$2900

I swear I'll post some hands. eventually

Played 2 hours of 5/10 this afternoon and won 2.4k. Fired a bullet at the $1100/500kgt and busted in spectacular fashion. Back to cash now. Up an even 10k so far on the trip in cash games

It’s kinda close actually. It seems like LA has more regs, but they aren’t nearly as good as the regs in Vegas. And the weekend/night games in Vegas were absolute spew fests where as in LA the games seem to be softest on weekday afternoons before the army of brits/euros show up and infest the 5/10.

I think LA is better just because there’s so much 5/10 running all the time, but the good games in Vegas were way better than here. But I enjoy grinding in LA a lot more - LA weather and food is 10x better than Vegas

Got a full 10 hours of sleep, from 5 am to 3 pm. I hate this sleep schedule. Oh well, just a couple more days of it.

+$1200, 3 hours of 5/10. Feeling burnt out and bored so taking the rest of the night off.

+$12k over ~36 hours of 5/10 this trip. Best live poker run I've ever had, but I'm not feeling much besides burn out. I don't think this lifestyle is for me, but I don't know what is

I have way more interesting hands I need to post still, but I'm curious if anyone has thoughts on this tournament hand:

$1100/500kGT, blinds are 400/800

CO min raises, sb calls, I call with Q7o (no spade). Pot: 5600

Flop KT9ssx, checks through

Turn 6x. SB bets 2100. I raise to 7900. SB calls. Pot: 21,600

River Ax. SB donks 10,500. I shove for 31,000 total. SB tanks for several minutes and finally calls and scoops with A9o.

I think the hand selection for the bluff was perfect - I'm just not sure I'm getting enough folds from V when he takes this line. I think I could just never bluff and only jam value and print in a spot like this against a rec.

gunna smoke a joint and see how I feel. Really don't feel like playing poker today, but I have two days left in LA and I really should make the most of them.

Fold pre. Or 3bet pre. I probably fold pre here since sb called. Fold turn. Give up river. Just doesn't feel like the right spot to bluff imo. But what do I know?

I don't fold any hands pre in the BB to a min raise in a tournament. Def not a 3bet candidate imo.

Turn we're double gutted, so gotta at least call, but I like the raise better. Why doesn't it feel like a good spot to bluff? You won't have any bluff raises ott?
