Thanks. Truth be told I kind of punted half my stack when I hit about 2 million. Not used to playing a tournament that deep that late and I was definitely too loose with my river calls in multiple spots that cost me about a million in chips. And then the final hand is obviously just a setup. Oh well... you're right, good little boost, gets me a chance to stick at the MTTs for now at least and stop the $1 SNGs.

Thanks for the congrats!

First full day of MTTs really today. Will play pretty much everything from $1.10 to $8.80 for about 4 hours today and add some $4.50s towards the end if I need to fill out the screen. Should be fun, let's get some heat today!

Thread Saver (cause it's been a while)...

First run of the day. Le sigh, but it does mean I am even for the day with 12 remaining and a stack in the 8.80 4k... let's go!

Blah, from 1st to out in 15th in the $8.80 4k. Lost flip AK < 77. Then 77 cracked 88 AIPF. Jammed 10bb w/ A2 bvb and he woke up with A4s and hit the flush and the 4. 2 4.50s left near the money and a small profit locked up today. Half session tomorrow and day off Friday before a big weekend. I'll post graph to date after session ends.

Well here we are to date... doing well I guess. Still looking for a "bink" at these limits, but we'll get one eventually. I'll be happy to get back closer to a $10 ABI where I have a few more shots each day at good scores like the Big 22 and Big 11 and such. But for now this is better than grinding $1 SNGs...

Due to time constraints, I will be taking both today and tomorrow off. Big sessions planned for both Saturday and Sunday though. Hoping for some sunrunning on those days, see if we can't kick this bankroll into the next gear.

On that note, I did officially claw myself back into a positive ROI for the year on OPR yesterday, so that's something I guess!

Well, back on the grind today. Not sure how much longer I'll keep this little blog going... it doesn't seem to have sparked too much interested, though I appreciate the few responses I have received. The main goal of it was simply to get me back grinding and accountable again, which I feel has been accomplished. But we'll see, perhaps I'll keep it up through the SCOOP and then decide.

Like I said, I'll probably keep going thru SCOOP and then decide. I recognize the limits right now are kind of mundane for lots of people. And I didn't do this to become famous or anything, just thought it might help focus me more. Anyway, I do appreciate the support I've gotten and I'll keep at it for another month and see what's what then!

Rough start today tho...

Blah. Bunch of cashes, nothing good though. I punted my final stack trying to hero call a guy I convinced myself was triple barreling cause I was tilting from my bust in the $8 6max. Villain smoothed me on the flop when I flopped top two and binked a gutter ball I didn't see coming and busted me in 18th... so I made it worse by punting off 50k in the $3 Progressive SKO! Anyway, ~$45 loss for today, no big deal. Back at it tomorrow.

Brutal day today. Don't have the final figures in front of me. Completely mucked up a big stack late in one of the capped events. Misclicked w/ KQo against a massive overbet. Flopped top pair and had to go with it at that point. Dusted off like 65% of my stack in that hand running into AA. Sigh.

The rest was just standard run bad in key spots. Oh well.

May drop down to the $1 SNGs again this week with ~10 MTTs per day and see if I can get things pointed up again by next weekend and then go hard next Saturday and Sunday.

Still up $100-150 or so... will post a graph tomorrow at some point.

Put in a small sesh yesterday and another small one today, nothing interesting to report. I will be off for a couple days and should be back on the grind Friday or Saturday and will likely play everyday until the end of the month from then.

So we got a little boost today... wasn't planning to play at all, but decided to check out 888 and signed up. They gave me $2 for free and I jumped into a freezeout late and ended up grabbing 2nd for $260. Ran brutal HU... got him in to win it with A7 v K9 and he spiked 9. Then played a big pot where I liked my line, but he made a good call on the river. Finally I jammed QQ and he made a straight with KQs to put us back to even stacks.

Either way, that money plus what the bankroll is already at should comfortably put me in the micro-low MTT level come this weekend.

See ya Saturday!

Probably not right now. I can see adding sites like 888 at a higher ABI when adding only 2 to 4 MTTs matters cause the tourneys are good ones, but for now, at the limits I'm at Stars is fine and the play isn't substantially better at micros in my opinion. Once back at mid-stakes and higher though, I will add some 888 and FTP for sure.

grinding micro mtts on 888 is a pretty good value though

Maybe I was looking in the wrong spot, but I didn't see many tourneys in my time frame. There was a couple but very small guarantees. I don't know, maybe I'll take a second look.

K, so today was kind of messed up. It started bad as I didn't really feel like playing, but decided to fire up my usual session anyway. I ran like God for the first hour, which had a reverse effect of putting me even further into button clicking auto pilot mode and eventually the God mode finished and I ended my session with 2 small cashes in 24 tourneys and a net $95 loss. Sigh.

Later in the day, I decided to go tinker around some more on 888 with the money I had won from that welcome bonus and played a few bigger buy-in events. Played better and made two nice runs, but finished 10th and 16th on bad beats and dropped about $100 there as well, but granted I wasn't playing within my typical buy-in strategy at all.

Finally, while configuring my PT4 to work with 888, I kind of butchered my database. So all in all a rough day.

But, I've decided to be positive and look forward. I'll use this as a chance to sort of reset. I am still up around $180 since I started and have about a $300 bankroll. All of which is on Stars now. Tomorrow I will get back to grinding a 10 MTT ($2.20-$5.50) schedule with 15-20 $1 180 mans to fill the screen. I will stick with that until I'm up around $750 and then I'll move up to include $8 FO and $2r & $3r and swap the $1 180s for the $4.50s. And I'll keep the goal of getting to $1k by SCOOP to play a decent schedule of the Low BI events.

And I'm going to get back to being more diligent about posting a daily graph and a weekly graph on Saturdays after my session.

That's the news and I am outta here...

Not a great first hour today, but lots of tourneys to go.

One spot that I'm always unsure of is in early stages (10/20-25/50ish)... I get a strong hand, in this example AK. I raise it up over a couple limpers, both call. Flop is solid for my hand... in this example, A34 rainbow. I bet out first to act and one of the limpers just ships over top for basically a starting stack.

In this case I call and he rolls the nuts 25s. Sometimes I call and they roll AK or a weaker A. I'm just never sure if it's worth calling off as deep as we are in micro MTTs or not. Thoughts?
