Either just do it while I'm grinding or I mark the hand and do it after my session; I just got better over time at taking notes while mass tabling

Back to Rosarito late last night after getting 6th at that FT for a bit over 3k, not the result I wanted obviously but w/e, lost in a standard spot 6handed AQ<QQ aipf when I was 6/6 at the time. Hand that killed me on the FT was 6handed I open UTG with A3hh, button flats, sb flats and flop comes Tx4h7h, I cbet 1/2 pot planning on piling every turn as I'd have ~1 PSB left and end up getting it in against ATo and bricking; woulda been 2/6 and in good shape if I won that hand.

Will probably get in a very small amount of volume today and study for a while, but I'll actually be on the full out grind starting tomorrow. Goal for this week will be 100k+ vpps between Wednesday-Sunday.

Tyty and yea I was satisfied with it, basically my 3rd 'real' live tourney ever and got a FT, can't complain too much.

Well I basically have to do 100k/week if I'm going to get 4mil+ vpp's while also doing a fair bit of traveling to liveaments. Not too tough, 40 hrs a week at 2500 vpp/hr. Although last yr I'd have no shot at doing that because I never put in hours, trying to put them in this yr tho!

Ruse headed over to my place today and we're gonna get a more long term prop set up starting today, probably something along the lines of my 400k vpps to his 100k vpps or something like that; we'll obviously post when we get all the details banged out. For reference, here's my VPP count coming into today, which is when the prop will go back to (todays starting VPP count)




Put in 1 session so far and down a bunch, like 5k or so. Just put in a study session and gonna hop on the grind until Ruse comes over about 2.5 hours from now.

Ruse and I agreed on a $200 prop, my 200k vpps to his 50k vpps, starting with the vpp counts pictured above. Lets goooooooo, both need to put some hrs in!

Graph of the day so far, 11.4k vpps in so far. Think Ruse and I are gonna go get lunch quick and then get back on the grind.

Dunzo on the day, only 15.2k vpps but I woke up an hour late, took an hour nap mid morning and then went out to lunch with Ruseman, so satisfied with the volume I put in. Really tired, normally would be putting in 1 more session but gonna just call it quits and go to bed really early tonight, probably in bed by 6pm to watch a couple ep's of a tv show and then pass the *** out.

Tomorrow my goal will be to get in 8+ hours of grinding. TCOOP starting tomorrow, lets gooooooooo

yeah, they have it nice over there, you can start playing 10 am, finish at 4-6pm and have evenings off, like a regular job god damn it!
i dunno why people move to thailand unless they like playing softer lower volume off-peaks.. or have sucha strong attraction to thai girls ;p

1st day of TCOOP, pretty excited for it! Playing literally every event, hopefully will have some good results.

Gonna try to grind extra hard during TCOOP, grinding hypers hard all day along with the events every day but Tuesday in which I'll just get in a morning session before my PA comes and then probably just sit around and chill and play just the TCOOPs.

Looking for 20k vpps today, Friday-Saturday planning on 25k+ each day

And tyty, same to you if you're playing TCOOP. It is nice to get that many VPPs, but if my results continue to be as bad as they've been so far this yr, will be dropping $200s, giving up on 4mil and playing mostly $60s and go for 1.5mil-2mil VPPs and my VPP/hr will be much more normal ...still a long way off from having a reasonable sample this yr, just not a promising start .

Okay, so on that note, last time this happened I remember 2 people posting saying I should buy something that would prevent this in the future,something like a battery backup surge protector?.....I explained this to cyluscylus and sirswish6 when we were in LA (they went to a Best Buy while I was deep in the $365) and neither of them could think of any device I could buy that would keep my desktop and monitors from powering off when the power went out in my building.

With that being said, can someone link me to something that I could buy if it does exist


Ummmm yea, so im really tilted right now and when I turned my **** back on (power just flickered off and on), I didn't have a HEM DB anymore nor did I have any PS settings. Going to restart my comp and hopefully they just magically reappear but not counting on that

Before playing another session, I guess I'm going to have to install everything on my laptop (which I DO NOT use for poker) so that in case it happens again, I can quickly switch over to it.

id just use ur laptop AND CHARGE IT, i have it too, alltho I only had to use it once in 2 years and then it was not charged

Had a chat with my backer and I'm dropping $200s for right now and just going to try to grind out some lesser variance $'s at $60s-100s for the time being. That means I'm probably officially giving up on 4mil vpps, but that's completely fine with me because as I said coming into the year, my only 'real' SNG goal this yr was to grind 1800 hours and play the games that gave me the highest hourly, and the backer and I decided after some more talking and number crunching that my hourly is probably exactly the same playing $60s-100s than losing at the $200s at 1-1.5% pre RB like I'm sure I will in the long run.

So yea, gonna drop down stakes and work on getting hrs in, and however many VPPs I get, that's what I get. We may re-evaluate later in the year, nothing is set in stone besides the 1800 hours goal. Obviously now not going for 100k vpps this week, not possible playing the 60s-100s, probably will just stick to daily hours goals and may start posting freerolls for them again itt
