I didn't quite understand Quadz's approach to the game in the dozens of games that I watched, he generally seem to min-raise a lot in the first 3 or so levels compared to everyone else and his min-raises were well respected too, saying that, in at least 4 of the games, bpplatform was pushing almost every time that Quadz was min-raising lol, was really fun to watch. Maybe these are the levels where hole cards count for nothing...
not true if you logically think about it (the hole card bit)

Other than that, best of luck with the detox Josh, I bet that you will feel great in the long run about it

Would you guys be cool if I time to time drop in with something I bought that I am having trouble identifying? Perhaps somebody in here can help or at least give some clue that could help. Some items will need a professional and I understand a large % of people here will have no clue, but, just one little clue will get me closer.

I buy/sell items and time to time I stumble upon something that is difficult for me to identify.

Too much work and nobody posts in it because I'm boring, however, I will update it soon.

Josh/Ruse, what are your opinions on applying to be a Pokerstars Pro? As in, do you find it to be highly beneficial or not worth the extra attention?

Yea I'm not sure what it is for me, but they dont look/sound appealing to me, although I don't mind them much either.

Would obv be worth it, but afaik they aren't signing any more US born players. That's part of why I had my own site this built during Christmas 2012, was gearing up for applying, but I don't think I have any chance of being signed being US born

July 29th Update

Year VPPs: 849,023.99

Day 1 of the cleanse went pretty well; feeling really tired right now but I didn't take a nap. Have dinner coming in about 1 hr 15 mins, will be eating and then probably heading straight to bed.

Tomorrow am gonna wake up early (hopefully earlier than today), grind grind grind until my bfast comes around 8:30-9am, probably get in 1 more quick sesh after that, then take a nap, eat lunch and am playing tennis at 3pm with one of the other rosa bros and maybe his roommate if Ruse can come (so we could play doubles).

Hoping that my energy level is up tomorrow, I feel like days 3-7 I'll get **** on WRT lethargic feeling and tiredness etc.

Graph of the day below, gla tomorrow!

Huh? No idea what you're talking about, if you mean do people play sngs or tourneys for a living, then yes...why the F wouldn't they?

Alright, it's a Calendar of some sort, you can adjust the month/day by sliding the cloth through the top section. Each month comes with it's own Cross Stiched style design. Appears to be some hand-made possibly some lady in the 20s-40s just doing some crafting..

I paid €5 for it. What you guys think? If you were to buy this in a store, what price would you expect to pay?

Woman in this photo is a babe

Here is a more respectable photo of the top section.

Probably the coolest calendar I've ever seen.

You don't need to go without meat or go vegan or anything close to that in order to get healthy. And cooking isn't too difficult at all.

For instance, most nights for dinner i put three chicken tenderlions (no skin, no breading) on a pan and turn the burner on. Make some rice (not instant, actual steam rice is the way to go, makes you much fuller) and have a vegetable side dish. Very healthy.

Also some fairly simple eating changes can go a long way. Eat a good breakfast. Use spray butter instead of stick or tub butter. Poop regularly (once a day). You don't have to not eat fast food or cut out all unhealthy snacks. Every 3rd or 4th day I'll eat a different, definitely-not-as-healthy dinner. Or I'll go out to eat at a restaurant with a friend. Small changes are much easier to make and maintain than a spontaneous big change.

And your bank account will thank you. I spend only between $40 to $50 a week on food, whereas it used to be nearing $100 a week with all the junk I used to eat about 2 years ago.

I poop 2-3 easy.

If you eat correctly, you can easily spend $100 a week on yourself.

Organic fruits/vegetables and good quality food is not cheap.

Sure you did. Anyone stating their earnings as willy nilly as that is clearly full of ****. You realize that real professionals go to Vegas during the WSOP not to play in it, but to play in the cash games that materialize outside of it right? Hell, even Doyle and other old schol pros would not even bother to play in the major tournaments because they knew how much luck was involved in actually placing well. Casinos/Poker sites take a kings ransom of value out of tournaments.

You might want to have a look at Mecastyles' propbet thread in this forum to get an idea of how much a really good player can make playing SNGs.

Never said it wasnt possible. Obviously plenty of people do it (make a a living playing tourneys). But youre leaving a mountain of value out there. In NLHE you can take someone for their entire life earnings in one hand, can you do that in a tournament? You can get unlucky several times against an idiot in a cash games, but as long as hes still sitting there, and you can buy back in, you can make your money back in one hand, can you do that in a tournament? In a cash game you can play for 8 hours and not get a hand without losing a dime (give or take), can you do that in a tournament? Keep chasing that ESPN highlight reel, youll do real good kid
