All done with golden week. Could have ran better but happy with my volume. Pretty sure it's a PR for me in hours and definitely in VPPs.



Also hit 6 goldens for about 800 dollars total extra. Also hit a 4th on the 60-100 low orbit, which should be good for 4-500.

Ended up with 110k fpps for my laptop grind so can spend up to 1760 on it. If anyone has suggestions please let me know. Pretty excited for my first SSD

Get the best asus gaming laptop for 1760. It may not have SSD but you can get it put in.

I've got an Asus G series w/ an i7 chip. It's great, it'll take anything poker related you'll be throwing at it and it can deal well with gaming also. 1760 will put you into the 17" model if you're interested. I highly recommend gaming-focused Asus models as they provide a ton of performance and reliability, full keyboard w/ numpad which is great for cards, and some laptops will lag w/ mass tables +HUD but these won't with their standalone graphics cards, and if you look around you can usually pick them up with free 12 month accidental warranty (essentially full, free coverage on any sort of damage that doesn't appear intentionally inflicted; I had to invoke mine once when the power cable snapped off inside when my friend sat on the cord while it was plugged in, went smooth). Doesn't come with an SSD but they're relatively cheap these days and a quick google will have you installing it yourself.

I wanted something that could come close to matching my desktop in terms of power, and it's been serving that purpose for two years now. I won't have to replace it due to performance capability any time soon. They likely have a slightly newer model of the same variation, it's one of their flagship models. Actually newer models may even have SSD stock...

Didn't grind much rest of the week, games looked really bad most of the time and I wasn't feeling that well Friday/Saturday tbh, think I ate something bad w/e night the Heat clinched the NBA finals when a group of us went out for the game.


Gonna try to start pounding out a ton of hrs now that the promo is over, probs play a good amount of offpeak and mix in some other formats with $60-200 6m ht's when I get short on tables probably in this order of preference: 18, 9m ht, F50, 9m turbo


Rush week is back over on FTP; just got done putting in my 1k points playing 100nl 6m Rush. For those who don't know, 35% extra RB if you rake the full $100/day (1k points) for the entire week.....makes it easily worth it for me as I'm still a diamond status over there so RB % is 65% + w/e extra for any happy hours I play in.

Ended up running well today, ran some spots and the numbers I ran during my sesh by a buddy who grinds 6m cash and it seemed as though I was playing pretty well; hopefully will just run well for entire week though and won't have to worry about playing super well

Game 6 of Stanley Cup Finals is tonight, goooo hawkssss! Chance to clinch, will be sweating the game hard. Going to offer a freeroll for the day, just a small one but 6+ hours for my Monday volume (so from now until Tuesday morning when I go to bed (~25-29 hrs from now)). Going to bed soon and probably won't play before the NHL game is over tomorrow eve, so 6 hrs won't exactly be super easy.

I have a 17in. gaming laptop with SSD and it's plenty powerful for poker and fast for pokertracker/hem. However, I still use and prefer my old 18in. laptop for poker for its 1920x1080 resolution, and would therefore recommend getting a 18in., may have to go alienware (seems like they're one of the few companies that still make 18in).

Thanks for the tip, I haven't bothered to check FTP in a long time. Anyone know if they've been sending promo emails? They haven't been sending me any despite my taking part in the relaunch promos. Maybe they're getting auto spam-canned...

My 15" Asus has 1920x1080. Being 17" wouldn't be a problem for resolution, has more to do with the graphics card and general design intentions of the hardware itself (there was a period of very strange screen depths getting released by the likes of Acer et al). Just gotta be sure to double check the specs before you buy.

Yeah. My 17in also has 1920x1080, and I wasn't clear. Was just saying that resolution imo displays better for poker on my 18.4in, but it's all matter of preference. Both screens do 16:9, just one screen has slightly more real estate in which to display it.

Interestingly, Acer (and other manufacturers) had laptops a few years back on newegg that were 18.4in and had 1920x1200 res. They don't make those anymore, but was always curious and would have liked to see those in action for playing poker.
